All the talk about breaking up a double play reminded me of this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VV3fNK31HD4
I remember that play well.

The irony of all these big guys defending what Utley did is if the 2nd baseman were to dive at their legs as they tagged them out...all these big guys would be saying you don't do that, that's "unnecessary" and "dirty". Yet if they get a chance they will run guys over and forearm smash them and then claim it's just "playing hard".

The crazy thing about that play is that Vina was the one on steroids, not Belle.
That would be crazy if he was in a Cardinals uniform, but here he was still with the Brewers. We couldn't get any players to take them so we drafted a kid out of Miami where we KNEW he would.

That game is terrible. You will plat it wont you?
I don't like modern telltale games. I bet old ones are worse (at least I think it's telltale). So if I can tape down a controller and plat it AND if my library carries it, probably.

Mostly I plat great games. Like omega quintet. And trivial pursuit. And until dawn.

Our libraries don't actually have games on the shelves. They are at some central location and are shipped to your library when your reservation comes up. Not sure if that's how it works elsewhere. Anyway, I see Blood Bowl 2 was shipped out on Friday so I guess I'll get it soon.

Sick grab by Donnell there.  Giants win and are in 1st place in the East, I got the points needed and then some from Hyde, and my other fantasy team won in a blowout.

I am finding out this morning by way of mike and Mike that they actually have a rule on the rulebooks outlawing the type of slide Utley made. But they never call it. It's a joke that they decide to make an example now in the playoffs. Free Utley!

I don't see how the announcers are sticking up for him. I mean, if he's going to slide that late and that hard he may as well have just tackled him... at least then he probably wouldn't have broke his leg. Seems like it keeps moving more and more away from "finding a way to obstruct the fielder while you're sliding" to "finding a way to slide while you're obstructing the fielder".

You start to wonder if they really believe half the crap they say or just say it to be controversial.

Maybe the infielders should start bouncing the ball off a runners helmet when trying to throw to first. Then can interference be called on the runner for blocking the throw to first? Sort of like pitching inside to keep batters honest. Throw through the runner and keep them from barreling down on you.

And no I don't really believe it but seems just as reasonable position to take as doing whatever it takes to break up the double play.

They send one of yours to the hospital, you send of theirs to the morgue.

I decided to finally make my way through the Back to the Future game last night to get ready for the trilogy anniversary screening next week.  Started episode 1 over because it'd been awhile since I started it.  it's a little different from regular Telltale games, but not too bad.  No super slow downs at least.  Animations are shit though.  Story is certainly interesting since BttF.  But wish it had the plat the retail & PS4 game had.

if anyone preordered the talos principle when the $10 gc was still attached, check your order and your credit card.  they're apparently just tacking on a $10 charge for the gc instead of sending it for free.

How does it feel for your 6000th trophy to be called "Misanthrope"?

I just picked up on this but maybe everyone else already had.  apparently infamous: ss, killzone sf, lbp3, the order and knack have all quietly price dropped to $20.  seems like retailers dropped it sometime late last week and the psn prices dropped too.

god of war 3 remaster is $20 at gamestop this week.

$37 ds4 at bj's wholesale if you have one, in-store only

Ok I really don't need 4 DS4 controllers. Stop!

I could go to one on lunch. I even forgot my wallet but they take Android Pay.

Wife asked me if I really need 5 controllers. I said no the red one will be 6 actually. 3 DS3 and 3 DS4.
the deals over the past couple weeks makes me think that black friday will be kinda low key again this year. last year the retailers started throwing out deals left and right during october/early november and then black friday was kind of a whimper. maybe this is just the new standard.

Saint Louis is awesome ;)

also chic just called, so gonna be camming with her and wife this afternoon/night.

we made about $450 last week so hopefully that much or more this week. idk

also thanks for all the people who tuned in to our Extra Life Charity stream.

Our goal was $1000, and we almost doubled that with $1830 in donations so far in 2 days.

Thanks alot and it is for a good cause

well I just learned that I've been trying to make the toughest team type work in blood bowl 2 with very little knowledge of the game.  I'm losing a lot.

for those of you interested in playing the game, watch this - if you can stay awake and you're still interested you might actually like it:

Yeah I played most of the games you listed at $20. Certainly all the ones I care to play anyway. Nice to have the drops trickle in before all the new releases. This way I have some cheaper games to play waiting for the release day games I will pick up.

Groan....... today is going to be a long day.

I slept last night so that means I'll be up all day long... there won't be any wife or kids here until around 9pm and I'll have to leave for work around 10:30pm.  So more than 10 hrs alone.... usually I wouldn't mind having the entire day to myself but under the current circumstances my mind just wanders everywhere.  I've tried watching things and playing games but the results are mixed... trying to do chores around here is even worse.

Sorry, I'm just looking for distractions at this point...

May I suggest making cookies for the PSNOT to share? We like cookies.

They didn't work?

I could use another DS4, one dedicated to the PS TV for remote play in my office. I almost bit on the $40 at Newegg one but it was the $33 one I missed that soured me on that. I think you do need at least 2 DS4s though, those batteries die quick.

Metal Gear is fuck ing awesome! Finished Mission 15.
using quiet now, she's awesome
Slow and Steady, need to finish this game at some point. 35 missions to go? Crazy town!

You are in Louisville right? Against the Grain opens in 15 minutes. I have been there when they opened before. Great for some day time drinking.

What the fuck is this.... football chess??? I didn't realize the amount of card playing/strategy/boardgame gameplay this game had. I've never liked games like FFtactics, disgaea, ogre battle, etc. so it seems like I wouldn't like this much either. Putting that kind of gameplay with bloody ogre football.... very sneaky of them... not at all what I was expecting.

Thanks for helping me waste 10 minutes though!

kind of, yeah. it's actually originally a tabletop dice rolling board game and in practice it has very little to do with football other than there being a ball and two ends to the field. it's pretty decent though, just time consuming. there's also waaaay too much to keep track of as far as different team traits, special skills, etc. and there's a painful amount of randomness - I played one game where I got completely whomped, couldn't pick up the ball at all (yes, you roll the dice to pick up the ball). the next game (because of luckier rolls) I downed half their team in my first two turns for the entire game (which unfortunately I had to leave suspended since each game takes a fucking hour).

I've been staying away from alcohol for now... I think it would make things worse for me.

At least alcohol by itself... if I could combo it with another distraction then that might work, but finding the right combo isn't easy. Otherwise I'm just miserable and drunk.

They have great food too, but unless you have someone to hang out with I still see your point.
