Well fuck! I knew drug suspension for the season sounded odd since it is usually one game for weed. Looks like this one is PEDs. He did put on some weight, but not enough that I would be thinking steroids.

 
Just finished off HARD on IA/VT. Holy crap. I'm not gonna lie--there was some definite button mashing going on near the end. 

I dunno if I'm going to be able to do the STEP UP hard challenges.

Actually I just tried stage 3 on Step Up. I'd failed 5 or so times before. Running through Free Play on hard, though, I did over 10k more points on stage 3 and cleared it on the first try. All those level 10 songs helped quite a bit even though it seemed like I was just being crushed.

It opens things up for Kentucky and maybe UGA I guess. Even with our backup, we should beat SC and Vandy. Our defense should keep both of them from scoring at all. If we win those 2 then Tennessee and Missouri have no shot since we already beat them and would have even records at best.

I am sad to report that all signs of vita life at target have been obliterated this week.  rip vita.

edit - did a quick brickseek check and the bl2 bundles are still at a few stores in my area.  if those don't clearance after the holidays I imagine they'll get sent to target.com warehouses.  or they'll languish in the stockrooms like that weird white psp I found a couple weeks ago.

Yeah, I tried that. So far it either doesn't start the process at all, or last time I made it work for about 5min, and then it failed saying I had no memory card inserted. I'll try it a few more times, and again from the pstv, but I'll probably have to call sony. Already tweeted to the ps support account so hopefully they'll be able to work something out.

Basically only uk and fla have a shot at winning the east right now, but uk needs fl to lose 2 games (lsu should most likely be a loss and UGA right now is a toss up) but UK winning out is also not a even close to a definite.

Basically SEC East is FL to lose and I dont see them really losing it, not with that D they got.

Im just excited we should make a bowl game!

I think the demise of physical Vita games is here, and what moved me to grab a lot of physical games before they all but disappear. I've heard rumors that Gamestop has started gutting the games from their cases as well all though I've yet to see that happen in my area. It's kind of sad but I almost wonder if the Vita should have just been all digital from the get go. Not the popular opinion but I know for myself I can't imagine running with a bunch of cards everywhere. It will certainly live on for awhile through indies and the digital store though for sure as Japan gets more and more physical releases as well.

I still don't really understand why Sony doesn't pull a Nintendo add dual triggers, move to micro SD, a little more horsepower and boom the all NEW vita with a wealth of what exists on the platform already behind it without a large R&D cost.

Not another one...an updated one like Nintendo does. The "NEW" 3DS isn't new. It's a slight update. Sony should do the same thing. Add a few more buttons for better remote play, micro sd (if it's possible on the current hardware set), and a few more horses (like Nintendo did) and you have perfection. Re-branding so to speak. The platform and the ecosystem is all in place already.

Got the UPS email saying that DQ Heroes should arrive tomorrow afternoon. I won't start it right away, though, because I'm picking up The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 from my library today and want to plat that first.

hey, I'd buy the shit out of it. but their production money would probably be better spent on lottery tickets.

as an aside, it did just occur to me that the vita sections were gone from the gamestops I've been to lately. so yeah, looks like they're shutting it down there too.

Assuming we do lose to LSU and UGA beats Missouri this week, then UGA would control their own destiny.

I just hope this claiming it was a GNC supplement and the crying at the press conference is legit. I want to keep liking the kid. Not interested in a A-Rod type lying asshole.

ugh, I pulled that book of unwritten tales game out of my library queue after I watched gameplay. it's another point and click adventure type, right? I'll be curious what you think of it. I've definitely overdosed on the genre I think.

I think so. I plan on using the (roughly spoiler-free based on what I've seen) walkthrough from PSNP since there's supposedly a ton of missable trophies and I don't have a lot of patience for point-and-click games.

 
GS around here still has a good Vita selection. Definitely more games available, new and used, than they used to have. Not just the old crap, either, the new titles are usually there as well.

Rather than going digital-only I think they should have done a better job of selling the digital games in stores. Nintendo has the eShop game cases, but PS never really took that approach for Vita. I'm only aware of two two Vita games that got digital releases with cases--Minecraft and MLB 15. Might be a few others.

DMC definitive edition is all the DLC on the disc or was it a code.

Against my better judgement I am thinking about grabbing this for $8.99 used.  Free slow shipping is fine with me.  

Not even sure why I care about the DLC.  Good chance I will never even play the DLC.

My Best Buy order no longer has that weird payment method alert on it that it has had since Friday. Maybe it's fixed? Hopefully I get notified about Dragon Quest and Talos Principle here shortly (one is shipping and one I'm picking up)

My best buy had a table set up with collector editions marked 50% off current price. Most were still full price (Elder Scrolls Online, Assasins Creed Unity, Witcher 3, even Farcry 4) however the CoD Ghosts Prestige for PS4 was on clearance for $63.99. GCU took it to just above $50 and then they took the additional 50% down to $25.50.

It was worth it for the 1080p camera alone. Steelbook is pretty nice looking too.

Was there a Book of Unwritten Tales that sold well enough to deserve a sequel?

The guide doesn't make it seem as much like a point and click, but it does look boring as fuck.  Apparently even using a straight step by step guide it is around 15 hours to get the platinum.  Maybe if it were for the Vita so I could watch TV while playing it, but  that one won't be going on the Gamefly Q any time soon.

Bandai-Namco really does suck at communication. Why would a response to "Will there be a limited-run physical Vita version?" in an interview be "Come to our panel on Sunday" only to not say anything regarding the Vita version then and just now "confirm" the digital-only aspect through a press release? They could have just said "no" to that question, possibly explaining why the PS4 version will be "better", and that would have been that.

no. Shadow fall sucks. Don't bother. I like nearly all sp fps stuff and this one is the worst.

Probably gonna regret that Assassins Creed purchase about 2 hours into it but I skipped Unity which is hopefully enough time off from the series.

PS: DmC says standard shipping will get the game to me by 10/22. Holy shit is that slow. But better than spending an hour in the car to go 14 miles round trip.

Yeah its ridiculous. Seems like they simply wanted to avoid any on the spot negative reaction to outright stating it wouldn't be then and there.

I wasn't a great game in IMO but it was an ok FPS. Got annoying towards the end. The very end is annoying and I used a video to get through as I just wanted to be done so I could trade it.

For $8.99 might be worth a try if you like shooters.

 
Bad part about Unity releasing on a Friday: have to have faith the delivery man doesn't decide to take the afternoon off and push me getting the game to a Monday.

At checkout it says it releases on a Thursday. Guessing because they're doing a midnight release. So maybe they'll ship it a day early?
