This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Gamersgate ditched Russian pricing.

Someone on Reddit mentioned it but I checked just to be sure. I tried two different vpns and verified both were actually coming through as Russia on other sites. Also for good measure tried Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Nada.

Brazil also doesn't have special pricing anymore which I believe they previously did.

I guess Ashat Art(h)ur finally realized more 'Russians' were buying from them than Russians

You said that and I went to check it. I enter gamersgate and saw price in pounds (should have been euros instead like everyday).

Cleared cookies. Again damned pounds. Next step is checking with VPN on Putsland... and... there we have the prices in euros now!!!!!!!

Whatever they are touching/doing is not finished so I would avoid buying there by now after the storm passes away, and comes the calm.

 
GG has a Brazil store but, for at least several months, had US pricing on it.  I tried it after Nuuvem started falling apart and you could tell by the Blue Coin costs that it was all standard US pricing despite being in reals.  Sucks about Putin Pricing though.

There was an eBay page. I clicked on it and there was a stock available. I went to add to cart; bam, gone.

 
Managed to complete a purchase through eBay. Who knows if I'll actually receive it though.

EDIT: And I've now "bought" 4. Odds are pretty high that they'll all get cancelled. But since the worst case scenario is I get my money refunded to me, I figure, what the hell? Might as well try to grab 4.

You guys should ask the console people for advice for dealing with Best Buy. Maybe you can price match it to Target to Walmart to K-Mart to Sears and throw in some Super Sugar Smacks box tops or buy their SuperDuperGamerzUnleashedClub membership or something.

 
I checked out twice myself. Wanted to get 4 of them, don't think I'll get any.

Great deal if we get 'em, but I bet they were all Bobby'd by SDers.

I actually would have bought two if I'd gotten in on this. I'd been on the lookout for good deals on 1 for my Xbone and 1 for 360, both which need one pretty badly at this point.

I checked in with the mods to make sure this post would be acceptable (Thank you u/SquareWheel) about a promotion you can use to get a steam gift card.
Sorry if this sounds like spam, down to business.
I found this post here on R/Freebies:

I went down to my local Microsoft store with my girlfriend to see if this worked. Asked them about the promotion and they immediately gave me a list of free Microsoft applications I can download. You download 3 applications, show the Microsoft employee, and they give you a $25 Microsoft gift card.
We both downloaded 3 applications each and they gave each of us our gift cards. She had no need for hers and gave it to me and I noticed they sell steam giftcards at the store. I used both cards and ended up with a $50 steam giftcard for showing up and downloading 6 applications total.
Couple of things that are noteworthy.
They may ask for an email, I wasn't asked but my girlfriend was so this may vary on the person you talk to. The email and your name is all you need to provide
Steam cards come in $20 and $50 amounts so if you go solo or the other person wants to keep their card just know you'll still have $5 leftover.
You will need a smartphone (Android, Iphone, and Windows should all work) for this so you can download the apps. you need to download them in the store and show the employee so don't download Microsoft applications prior getting your card.
Promotion ends Sunday October 18th so on Monday the 19th this will not be valid.
Lastly you can click here for a list of Microsoft stores to see if there are any in your area

Too much hassle. Plus I have to talk to people eww and knowing me it'd probably cost me way more because I'd come out of there pre-ordering a top end Surface Book (dat Nvidia chip) or something.

Sounds like a console people deal, so of course they beat you to it and already had a thread about it with much chatter instead of all the ZZZZZZZZs it got here.

I'd do the Microsoft thing if it was local because a free $50 Steam card ain't a bad thing.  Not enthusiastic enough to drive 45min or more for it though which is my nearest MS store.

 
Of course the two people who hang out in chat 24/7 looking for anything free or glitch got theirs.

Nah I wasn't even checking for that, that was from memory. It was literally gone after I saw your chat message. You had to get a key 1-2 minutes after madjoki's message or you were fucked.

This is the second game in the series, Reprymian Rising, not the one that was previously bundled. Madj making it even worse for us now, since it was literally only free for a few minutes.

Let's see, a game that's been bundled multiple times and whose developer went tits up at only 50% off and a game that has no Steam key and DRM that won't allow it to work with the current or any future Windows operating systems.

Wow I just cannot contain my excitement for these 'deals' today.

I had Batman AO + season pass and the lesser AssCreed games in my cart the other day, and couldn't pull the trigger. I think I made the right decision, cause even knowing I can't get them for that price anymore I don't really have waffler's remorse. AO alone for like $1.25 or whatever it was might have been worth it, but whatever, it's only a matter of time before Bundlestars does $5 for the complete package or something.

Just got back from peasanting it up at the mall and getting the $25 MS store gift card.  Was a pretty easy process, they accepted the apps I already had installed and didn't even ask for any info from me.  They did look at me weird when I asked for steam cards or anything PC related that wasn't minecraft.  I eventually found the steam cards in the darkened back area next to a rotting corpse and now I'm $20 richer in Gabenbux!
