This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

I kept trying to get a key from the form on account.yoyogames.com, but it never sent one until I used the form on yoyogames.com/support, but I only got a key for Pro and not the Android module.

I got a similar reply from Peter when I submitted a ticket about the Android key. So if you got a reply and didn't have keys before, check again. I was able to get the Android key after he replied.
Thank you for posting this. Logging into the account.yoyogames.com site and making GameMaker Studio Pro my primary license and THEN requesting my keys on that page worked. I only got the Studio Pro Steam key, as well. Nothing for Android.

Not a big fan of the "beta" craze. Our game's in beta, our site's in beta, your mom's in beta (she's trying to become your other dad through the miracles of plastic surgery). I should start a business called "Beta Access Pizza" where we give you a sheet of dough and let you put the toppings on and cook it yourself.

I cant help but think you can get a manufactured 'gaming' PC for that price, with better specs, and Windows10 on it, then just dual boot SteamOS if you have a boner for that. But I am kind of out of touch with current hardware, so who knows.
With enough patience you can probably find a laptop for that price that'll run games better.

I can't even log into my Yoyo account. Created it today, activated it and then it just won't log me in.
Their site is crap and puts me in a queue half the time. Somewhere I read you have to wait 14 days after you register your humble key to get a Steam key. Maybe that's the issue for people?

I got a amd 8320e, Amd R9 270, 8GB ram comp off of ebay in January with Win 8.1 and a 23in 1080p monitor for less than $750 shipped. I'm pretty sure it could run those games better than that steam(ing) box.
cant rightly check as I've since upgraded to a 970 GPU

Hell, the refurbished laptop I bought for under $400 (FirePro M5950 gpu) can (allegedly) Run the Witcher 2 (not Mordor though). I'm still not sure who is supposed to be buying these things.

Yeah, I got mine today ... 14 days after I first created an account and entered my humble code

Great I have to be the Guinea Pig for DRM language and dlc. I swear somebody else Putined those AC games in the past when they were on a prior sale but everyone's too busy talking about random useless shit to comment on cheapass games.

I'll see.
I was going to make a snarky comment about CAG's search function, but, well...

Yeah, that. Thanks for finding that information.

fuck ing EA leaving their doors wide open again it seems.

Everyone change their Passwords again.
People have games on Origin?

Played a little more Trials tonight.  Just want to say it is a lot more enjoyable with folks to compete against on the leaderboards and with the ghosts to give feedback as to how you're doing.  I'm 100% confident spoder is cheating.  Ain't no way those times are possible.

Anyone who wants to add me on Uplay, please feel free.  I am DrR0Ck with the same avatar.

I just started playing Trials too, add me first ... m1ndr10t ... and then add DrR0Ck

Blocking MysterD seems like a better plan than seeing a million reaction gifs.
I've figured it out. See, the problem is that people keep encouraging MysterD to do things, even if it's not really serious, and he desperately needs approval, so as soon as one person tells him to do something, he can't stop himself. He looks for every possible opportunity to do it, and with his total lack of social awareness, this means he sees opportunities to do it everywhere.

So really we just need to stop telling MysterD to do anything at all, and hope his processor rusts a bit.

I know a bunch of you guys don't venture outside this thread so I'll point out this great Redbox code/glitch posted elsewhere in CAG.

Used online, not at the kiosk, you can apparently reserve 3 free movies and two free games with an existing account, 2 movies and a game with a new account. Reserve multiple times to use more than once.

I just used it to pick up 3 free Blu-rays.

Anything that you don't like basically. :p

So, pretty much: anything. :p

EDIT:

Kiosks where you can rent movies + console games.

Check the spoiler.

I like you, MysterD, but sometimes you make me want to drink lye.

Bottom of the barrel, probably not even worth trying.

Also, these damned kids *shakes cane* In my day, we had the shitty Ubisoft digital download store run by Digital River and we hated it!

How quickly people forget.

They only let you do the install-files download for 60 days??!?! Wow...that really sucks.

That is like VERY early old-school EADM days - where you better make copies of your installers somewhere for back-up! At least eventually, EA changed that crap.

Hopefully, Rockstar changes that crap once they actually have a decent client-program...

Ubi was like that pre-client days too. Basically anyone that uses Digital River for their PC Download store (Rockstar does) like it's 2004 is going to have that crap. Also some indies that use BMT Micro instead of Humble try to pull that shit. It's pretty much the equivalent of trying to charge video rental return dates and late fees in the era of Netflix. Nice try but no.

IIRC Digital River used to offer some 'insurance plan' shit where you can access your download for a year instead of 60 days for a fee. Makes the G2A protection money seem almost reasonable in comparison.

Wow, I never bought from Ubi in their pre-client days. That's garbage. And it's amazing that you say some companies like BMT Micro still use this archaic method.

Looks like until Rockstar changes their 60-day policy, it's gonna be Steam-version for me. I will have to catch it in a Steam sale.

I think EA even used to do it pre origin days,  I just recently tossed some dvds of install files from the first batman game and an early battlefield game.  You know you are behind the times when even EA doesnt do it anymore.

Well yeah, but that's dumbass shit. Why should we pay them to inconvenience us? Giving them money just encourages that kind of nonsense.

Plus if you're going to go to those sites to download your game anyway and not even get a Steam key why the hell are we supposed to pay them $40 on sale again?

Wrong! We are Rockstars and we can do whatever we want, peasants! :whistle2:

I remember those fuck ers. When my old laptop died, I couldn't redownload the free software you get from college.

Also, if you ever see a good deal on the Jackbox Party Packs, you need to do a game night or two with friends. It's really fun to play and watch.

Back when THQ still existed, they had a store page sale on some stuff.  Almost bought until I saw that you could (a) only download once unless you (b) bought a two dollar "protection" package that allowed you to download for 30 days.  :speaktothehand:

It's the end of an era.

Gamersgate ditched Russian pricing.

Someone on Reddit mentioned it but I checked just to be sure. I tried two different vpns and verified both were actually coming through as Russia on other sites. Also for good measure tried Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. Nada.

Brazil also doesn't have special pricing anymore which I believe they previously did.

I guess Ashat Art(h)ur finally realized more 'Russians' were buying from them than Russians
