I'm redownloading god of war vita. Trophies weren't popping on the second. I am waiting for the kid to get done with her bath. I gotta get my own shower after putting her to bed. So I won't be ready until close to 9.

I liked it enough, but getting the platinum is entirely based on luck because of how random the drops from chests are. I played through it multiple times and never got a single diamond. You need 10 to get Diamond Knack, which you need for a few trophies.

Of course, we all know how luck-based trophies love to shit on me.

I'm getting soft in old age. I've completed 27 of 34 Yakuza 3 ultimate skill trials, and I'm stalling on getting on the last 7. They aren't overly difficult to pass, but the trials do require increasing levels of precision as you work your way up, and the stress/pressure of completing them is dissuading me from attempting them.

All complete..not mint, but pretty good. Now to decide if I want to unload my zeldas..N64 oot & mm..both collectors edition complete w/box...GameCube wind waker and oot master quest both complete...hmmm
 
I really don't understand why there needs to be limited lives in Catherine. If you fail and run out, you end up just going back to the main menu and loading up your save game from before when you started the puzzle. All having a lives counter does is add a minute or two of annoying loading every few attempts.

 
Screw Stealth Inc. 3-2, and having to walk in time with the sensor across the sensor-triggered bridge over the laser beam. Who comes up with this shit?
 
Well, I WAS enjoying AC Syndicate and then this happened:

I was working on clearing out The Thames area and after doing the last Bounty Hunt mission the gang lady showed up and challenged me....I killed her right away but apparently you're not supposed to kill her cause the area still shows as Unconquered and I have no way to trigger the Gang War now.  fuck..

It's been a couple of years, but doesn't restarting mean you lose your checkpoints and have to start the level from scratch? That's a fairly common mechanic if it works the way I recall.

That reminds me of a bug in Rogue. There's a scene where you fight a guy on the edge of a cliff. He fell off the cliff and into the water below and just sank like a rock. He didn't register as dead so I couldn't do anything. Had to restart to the latest save point to get past it. Seems like you should be able to do something similar based on your description, no?

Just seeing this now. We managed after more than a little trial and error to get the secret area one. Wren passed out on me, but I was able to get the other one with the Vita and 3 DS4s solo thanks to some tips from Tyler. It took me a few tries but the game is finally done.

Wren and Pancakes, let me know if you guys want more help with any other trophies on this one. I am willing to help, but if you guys arent going to bother I am ready to delete this SOB.

That trophy is the only thing really keeping me from the plat but I just can't stomach them. I know if I put the effort into it I could do it, but if I did I know I'd just feel like I wasted my time.
 
I was ready to get the 4 remaining bandages in SMB after finishing Cotton Alley's Dark World, but I got the 100% Completion trophy immediately after finishing the last level. Weird.

"All" I have left for the plat are the not-dying trophies for Salt Factory (Dark), Hell (Dark), Rapture (Both), and Cotton Alley (Both). *sigh*

Yeah I lol'd when I got the 4pm notification that I was up by a point. I was like, well there's always a chance Simmias's guys have multiple coronaries simultaneously.

 
So I finally played the fifth chapter of Tales From the Borderlands today and it instantly shot from my favorite Telltale game to my favorite game of the year (yes I know the first chapter released last year.) Still a close call between MGS V and Bloodborne for second, but I'm leaning towards MGS as I've just spent more time in that and see no signs of stopping.

Booted up AC Syndicate for the first time today as well and I'm not feeling it at all, definitely having buyers remorse. AC games just end up so repetitive and feeling soulless to me, but I'm feeling this way from the start. I also can't stand those cheesey current day Abstergo story clips. The twins aren't very likeable either. Jacob moreso than Evie. I think I'd like it a lot more if I hadn't played Unity to completion and collected nearly everything it that. I like the London setting a lot more but other than that it looks and feels exactly the same, plus a grappling hook.

I'm on mission 44 at 73% completion. I've mainly just been working my way toward developing and upgrading every weapon/tool available. I've also been putting time into MGO, its an absolute blast with at least one other friend in party chat.

Cloak and Dagger or Bounty Hunter? Friends and I usually warm up with Bounty, then roll Cloak a lot until we get tired.

 
This past week I finished off what was left of Broken Steel. Then I started and completed Operation Anchorage and The Pitt. My goal is to complete Point Lookout and the Mothership DLCs in Fallout 3 by the end of this week. Maybe I'll move onto the Fallout NV DLC after that.

Ubisoft posted a summary of the Assassin's Creed present day story on their blog if anyone wants to catch up.

I think the latest controversy I'm completely failing to understand is the Payday 2 controversy.

Completely optional microtransactions? Burn them at the stake.

I can almost understand being upset that some of the microtransactions give guns with improved stats, except that it's a completely co-op game so who gives a shit if the other guy paid for better guns since it's not like he's going to beat you in deathmatch with them.

Only seems strange because the same people admit to spending over $100 in DLC but when they add Payday 2's version of TF2 keys except better since those TF2 keys used to have a decent chance of getting you nothing but a weapon you could get through normal drops (meaning you wasted $2.50).

Maybe get mad at them for not updating the console versions (also similar to TF2 in the Orange Box) but why get mad that they're doing completely optional paid DLC on a game you've been playing for years?

Maybe this will help clear things up. I'm more of a casual so i can really care less (besides the fact that they aren't updating the console versions when they specifically said they would for both the previous and current gens) and I really enjoy the game. I can see why they get angry as they are probably emotionally invested into the game as they probably play it every day or often.
