This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Soon Steam will have automated region locks on every key. Hope you enjoyed region skirting while it lasts.
You think they care enough? Unlike the cross region gifting/trading on Steam, Valve isn't getting a cut of the sales of activated keys. It's more the publishers (or developers I guess for indies) that lose out there.

I'm not saying it won't happen, but unless the publishers really put pressure on Valve, and the ones who worry about it are already requesting the manual region locks, I don't think think Valve is going to make it a high priority for something not directly affecting their cash flow.

System is there. It's just matter of publishers starting to use it. And it doesn't show up on SteamDB.

There's even some keys in 'circulation' too.

Yeah, there's absolutely zero chance I boot up my pc one day and go "you know what I want to play right now? fuckin qbert." I'll wait for a bundle.
Uh it's retro and shit so you suck at being a dirty hipster.

inb4 everyone copies me and buys qbert
I actually remember playing it in the arcades. It was a great game for its time and I'm sure it'd be a decent retro title if they ported it correctly. The trouble is that the reviews say there are all kinds of control issues and that some of the AI behavior has broken the game.

I'd love to hear that they're wrong about this, or that there's a workaround, but I know asking if anyone here has actually played it is more than a longshot.

I actually played it quite extensviely, did you know when Q-bert jumped off the edge there was a mechanism in the bottom of the machine that would "kick" against the cab making a knock sound? Seeing as the mostly Pinball maker Gottlieb made the game, there were some parts that got thrown in just for usage sake. The control issue I'm not sure how they handled as the arcade control is actually just a diagonally mounted 4 way joystick rather than the traditional UDLR of a normal 4 way stick.

Supposedly it works fine with mouse controls, but I can understand why someone wouldn't want to play it that way. I mean it can't be that bad for $1.24..

It's probably better than 5x of those shitty $0.24 games we keep buying.

hes at the midtown art center drinking a PBR talkin about this thread right now
Isn't that like sad two years ago hipster? Wouldn't the new hipster be drinking an overhopped craft beer at a bar in a gentrifying part of the city, where they break their arm patting themselves on the back about how great a job they're doing in "bringing the city back to life"?

Q-Bert lacks dinosaurs, survival, Halloween events, Bruticis, and generally anything that would make a video game good.  Your $1.24 is better served going towards ARK or buying AdmiralGialHackbar a game so he can get to 1999 and buy ARK himself.

Anyone here have an Xtrac or Glorious PC Gaming Mousepad?

I have a Goliathus Control Extended but want something with more width...but I also need something with the same texture as the Control

1001 Spikes keeps tempting me to go in and make the sacrifice. I hate this feeling.

ARK is a cheap game in a way.  I'm so invested in it as my main game right now that I haven't been tempted by the usual multiplayer crap I would be during the sales.

Speaking of, I actually enjoyed KF2 enough to want to try it single player.  I assume the perk unlocks transfer regardless of whether you're playing solo or multi?

And go spend some times on Compost Man in Ark instead of Sexy-No-Free-Codes-Girl.

I haven't checked about the perks. They did in the first and I've played a little solo and didn't get warned they wouldn't.

Also, when Sexiest Melissa comes home with some free codes, you won't be so quick to judge. Have you gotten the Halloween achievement for killing the dodorex?

Sacrifice has been made, fml.
Isn't it a remake of the console game Aban Hawkins & the 1000 Spikes? I played that game a few times. It's that "lol tuff" and "lol retro" game that used to be $1 on Xbox, but the devs were like "omg we can make moar munies if we charge $5 for our indie game." And so they did. Quite a price hike for a 22MB game. I think it was also on Desura once, but can't find the page.

I don't know if I enjoyed it. There was a decidedly huge wave of 2tuff indie games that came out after Super Meat Boy, and I warreni'd all of them.

Yes, an "enhanced" remake, whatever it means. I have it on my wishlist since its Steam release and lately I wanted to replay Super Meat Boy, so I couldn't resist. Bought as a gift just in case it becomes bundled before I'll find enough time to play it.

Am I missing something?

Divinity: Original Sin only being sold via Steam and GOG...?

I want the Enhanced Edition on Steam, but at a discounted price.  ....But I can't find it.
