Damn, I'm pretty sure I left off at the very beginning of New Game +. Looks like I need to get through defeating Vicar Amelia before I'm able to check out the DLC. New Game + is balls hard, right?
Sounds like it. I'm basically in the same situation as you, though I was able to beat the Cleric Beast without too much trouble (though he wasn't exactly a cakewalk) on NG+. I might pass on fighting BSB a second time since he's technically optional.

I had to be at the airport at 4 a.m. this morning, and it was crazy crowded. Took close to an hour to get through security. What the fuck, people? I didn't think other people were crazy enough to travel this early.

And Zimm, fuck your winter storm warning and the 6+ inches of snow that are going to dump on me tomorrow at Camp Randall.
Don't blame me. It's clear skies up in my neck of the woods, with no snow forecasted until next week.

Great. Not sure why I never think of Minecraft.

Would Towerfall be too hard for an 8 year old?
Hmm. Not sure. I guess it depends on the kid? People can get really good at it and then they are tough to beat. It's a great game and there is a coop mode too, so if he wants to avoid competitive play there is that part of it. Also see my update above: Peggle 2 might be another good one. It's has a competitive mode, but that's a pretty easy going game so it could be a lot of fun for an 8 year old.

Yeah probably not going to mention Towerfall.

I will mentioned the other games to him though. Thanks.

Double xp is also for zombies, if you are into that sorta thing. We did a bunch of the easter egg last night and got the charged elemental swords but never beat the shadowman. My buddy already prestiged in zombies.

also yeah that gems of war game is cool. if anyone wants in a guild send frisky/crashspyro a message and join us.

You might be the only person I have ever seen say that. I thought it was pretty awful. I really couldn't care less if it is survival horror or not. I would have been happy with a good action game.
at first I was all like 'gator's lost his mind' and then I looked at metacritic and saw that gamespot gave re6 a 45. forty-five. yowza.

like I said I enjoyed the hell out of it and I still think (for the most part) people agree that Leon's campaign is pretty decent and that mercenaries and friends are pretty decently done if you're in to that sort of thing. I'll definitely stand by it as a fun game, but I'm not playing through that thing again. dat snow level. ugggggghhh.

Sorry to hear that and I feel terribly for you, your family and others to have to handle something like that. Something is going on but I have to beleive there is something else happening as well otherwise we all would have these same issus with our kids. Obviously someone a lot smarter than me has to figure that out. I just wouldnt want to see someone whose kid isnt vaccinated passing on some disease that is 100% preventable and killing another person's kid.
Like I said, I do not think it is cause and effect. My issue is the scientific community wanting to stick their heads in the sand with all the empirical evidence that it is a factor for some subset of children at least . Most of the anti-vaccination parents are looking for something to blame. I get it, but it is stupid. You lost the genetic lottery. We all take that risk when we have kids.

With that said, I am a bit tired of the parents that are trying to get the scientific community to look at one possible aspect of an epidemic to be crucified like they are. Are they putting out the best message? Absolutely not. Fear and misunderstanding is always a bad thing. Problem is, there is no other way to get any attention to the topic.

Thinking those parents make that choice easily is a common misconception. They are putting themselves and their child at a much higher risk than the general public. So the hate and fear is there on both sides of this one.

oh yeah and i had the dingo+/dire wolf with turned so i was making friendly zombies, and i had my robot pal civil defender with me tons of the time and then upgraded my raygun to a porters and my dredge to trapahedron hex or some crazy stuff. never got apothicon servant but my friend said everyone can get one if we all craft and grab it at once. Hit me up and lets do this later

didn't it have sherry as a teenager or weskers son or some crazy stuff like that. i own it but after leon's campaign (which was survival horror ish) i couldnt take the all action of the other 2 guys. especially when zombies are shooting guns at you. i know they arent zombies they are ganados or something idk

Didnt understand a word of this...

A co worker got a PS4 the other day with a second controller. His oldest son is 8 or so. Other then Lego games (I assume they are still split screen co-op) any recommendations for local co-op play?
Chewy covered most of the better kid friendly options. Of course Lego Dimensions, Skylanders (I assume it is co-op but I dont really know), and DI are other possibly expensive options.

Now I know why most CAGs dont do anything other than play video games. The real world is stressful and scary.

Yeah he just went through a divorce not too long ago so cheaper is better I think for him for now. I do appreciate the suggestions though.

yeah, Jake Wesker and Sherry were teamed up. they had the ustanak storyline which was the nemesis-like super infected for re6 which contained 80% of the obnoxious crap in the game between shitty environments, cheap deaths and qte hell. I think Jake had some crazy melee moves though.

Ada had a partnerless campaign which was pretty decent too, I don't remember if it was locked behind something or not.

I'm watching the first part of Leon's campaign and it's awesome. So good. And the game is good looking too. I like all the ridiculous diving and sliding and shooting and melee, it's fun and goofy as hell.

I haven't played Bloodborne so I wouldn't really know, but the requirements for being able the DLC you can buy seem pretty dumb. Why isn't it just a different option in the menu?

Don't know if they patched it, but three of us managed to grab the apothicon servant. I managed to packapunch it and man is it awesome.

Those of you MGS V players who S-ranked or otherwise completed the "last" mission (A Quiet Exit) and had trouble doing so, did you try using the Parasite (Armor) item? Based on videos, that seems to make things much, much more manageable if you're able to run directly to new tanks/vehicles as they appear and extract them ASAP.
Doesn't parasite armor limit your rank to an A at best?

Its not that big of an issue, that boss is pretty early on. The DLC also uses your persistant character with all your upgrades and I'm assuming you can bring all the new items/weapons back into the main game afterward.

I liked RE5 a lot, co-op was really fun. Never tried RE6 though, and I'm not particularly inclined to.

Also just had a hardee's breakfast burrito and it was awesome. Trying to use it to absorb some of the leftover whiskey in my system after a day of boozing with the sales dudes. Its vaguely working. I wish I liked working sales more, the perks can be pretty awesome.

yeah i was using it and opening portals and all that, but not last night. my bud said yeah you can grab it all at once. upgrading that seems insane. only thing bad bout my robo bud and turned zombies is they don't earn you any points

I took the train from the airport, and for the first 20 minutes or so I was thinking I need to move back to Chicago. I had forgotten how much diversity of culture there is in this city, and I know that living in Charlotte so long has limited my experiences lately, probably closing off my thinking a bit and probably making me a worse person for it.

Then I waited for my transfer outside in the freezing cold... and said fuck it, I'm never moving back here, I'll stay shallow, thank you very much.

The pro move is to eat bacon before hand. After helps too. Many people talk about eating bread to soak up the alcohol, but that doesn't really help. In fact, there is some evidence it hurts to have all that extra sugar in your body when you are trying to handle the alcohol.

High fat high protein helps the liver attack the alcohol better and there isn't anything that fits that bill better than bacon. Plus... BACON!

Are you taking the Amtrak through Milwaukee? If so, I'll wave as you go over my bridge.

Does Charlotte really lack diversity? I have not been there that often. When I am there, I am usually at a craft beer place which unfortunately do not always have the most diverse clientele. That seems to be the case anywhere due to the large hipster following.

I guess I just assumed Charlotte would be a lot like Atlanta and be rather diverse. Sad to hear that it must not be.

Jimbo, another game that MIGHT work is Trials Fusion. This game gets really hard so that part of it probably isn't great for him, but the easier courses are fun for everybody and if the kid likes creating things then he'll probably get a lot of fun out of the level editor. My youngest got a lot of mileage out of making courses. None were exactly good, but he had fun doing it anyway. I should say that the level editor is fairly complex, but you can do basic stuff in it pretty easily.

And there is the couch multiplayer which is pretty hilarious. Stick to easy courses and he'll probably have fun with it.

A lightly buttered roll and if I wasn't too nauseous some Gatorade always seemed to work for me. Unless it was a really bad hangover.

I have no idea if any of this is true, and admittedly am pretty doubtful, but I still heartily approve because bacon.

After the fact is seemingly different for everyone. However, I expect the Gatorade to be the heavy lifter in that combo. For me, if bacon works best before no need to fix what ain't broken. Plus... BACON!

Do you trust Stanford?

They mention the high protein thing and not the high fat thing directly. However they talk about fatter people being able to handle it better, so that is close enough. :) Actually I read that wrong, I guess I need to get skinny to be able to drink more.

My usual is just as much water as I can remember before bed. Then if I'm being real nice to myself, a glass of water and a motrin by the bed for when I wake up feeling like shit. Gotta stay hydrated! After that its greasy fast food breakfast to cure the headache.

Wonder if what you drank (probably) is a factor too. I was mostly a boozer. Bacardi or Captain Morgan. But if people were doing shots I was pretty much down for almost anything. Other then whiskey (for a while anyway). After a pretty serious night of binge drinking and mixing I got REALLY sick. I remember tasting the whiskey over the run, and vodka I also drank. So I would skip shots of whiskey for years. But eventually even that was no longer a problem for me.

Don't really party any more. Don't miss the hang overs (although they got to be few and far between).

Dude at work brought his PS4 into the office today so people can play Star Wars Battlefront.

I wonder if I can quick sign into my account and download Sound Shapes for a sweet sweet auto-plat.
