I'm looking around at different retailers right now...but looks like J-Stars on Vita didn't get a physical release in the US...is that correct?
Correct, Digital only in USA.

It did get published physically in Japan, Asia?(I Think), and EU though...

$40 : Asia?: Japanese w/English Subs Amazon (Fullfilled by Amazon in USA)

$35+4 : Shipping EU : Japanese w/English Sub Amazon (Ships from UK)

Some say EU version has English audio, but feedback on amazon said it was Japanese with English Subs, so I'd go with the customer feedback over random q&a folks.

Not bad actually for a physical copy. Not sure if there's DLC that would become an issue but the core game can be had physically for not too much trouble or a massive cost increase.

Dang, I'm surprised it went so quickly. I would like to get the Demon Gaze LE tonight but I'm not sure I can make it to 2 am/wake up in time.

Yeah, Criminal Girls LE went live at midnight pacific. All of their daily deals this week go live at that time.
Thanks for this. I guess it's going to be a couple of late nights/early mornings this week.

Does anyone know what the price on the Criminal Girls LE was for this sale? I'm not seeing it on the NISA site.

I think it was around 6mo I had mine. Got it when groupon had them on sale a while back.
Thanks, I was expecting it to be within a short time. Hopefully, that will help convince SCEA to try and help you. I wouldn't get my hopes up, but it's worth a try, I guess.

You think? Corrupted controller blocks off the access to the memory chips, so no software can acknowledge that the card is initialized. The ones getting faulty are still able to be accessed so IMO is a write failure. Maybe its an issue with the floating gate storing and getting too hot when playing. I'm not an expert at all though.
Oh, I thought someone said it's not being detected.

Edit: Cursory search of the interwebs doesn't seem to suggest write failures. Just the card hanging (probably not sending back an initialization complete). It's pure speculation on my part either way.

If any 1000 Vita owner want that new L2/R2 Grip Cover it is up for preorder on playasia I just amiami get it soon

http://www.play-asia.com/l2r2-button-grip-cover-for-playstation-vita-1000-black/13/709ikh#reviews
I wish they had this for the 2000. Guess I'll wait to see if someone figures out a way to make it work.

ETA: Nevermind. Looks like something does exist for the 2000 (http://www.play-asia.com/l2r2-button-grip-cover-black/13/708qs3). Anyone know if both work the same way? (mechanically touches the back touchpad)

and they couldn't get my $10 pre owned cert to stack with the B2G1. Has this happened to anyone before? The employee told me that it might just be their computer being weird but I kinda doubt that.

Oh well, that just means more Vita games for me to buy :)
(I'll need some reccommendations hint hint)
Someone mentioned they aren't supposed to stack.

I have a new spare Rayman Origins I am trying to get rid of.

Heads up for those not in the know... GameStop has a deal on the PowerUpRewards site for discount USED GAME coupons.

$25 off = 10,000 points

$15 off = 6,000 points

$10 off = 4,000 points

$5 off = 2,000 points

You can stack coupons of different denominations. So up to $55 off of a USED game if you have 22K points.

I only had a little over 11K points so I opted for $10 off and $15 off coupons. I figure that way if I find a $10 and a $15 game I can get both free or stack for $25 off a higher priced game. It's today only to get the coupons and they expire 12/31/2015 ... so don't get em if you don't plan to use them in that time frame. I figure even if I get nothing right now, the after Christmas sale will probably make it easy to find something I don't already own.

Nice. Thanks for the heads up on that, I was finishing a deal with Amazon as it were, and added this one to still get the free shipping option. All in all, a great price on a new release.
dam it, i guess this is over? only thing showing are regular rewards certificates, not seeing any of the used game certs

That's a solid deal. I think I paid almost that much just for the game. But it seemed to be pretty difficult to find a good deal after GS dropped the price and sold out of new copies. I guess the Criminal Girls LE was super Limited to already sell out... or has it not gone live yet?

The main game I'm after from this NISA sale is htoL#NiQ: The Firefly Diary. I hope they have enough that I have at least a chance of getting a copy. I went ahead and set an alarm on Saturday night and Sunday to remind myself about that.

Oh and don't forget to get the free wallpapers. They are supposed to have a new one each day during the sale. Check the bottom of the page on the link below.

Picked up Hyperdimension Rebirth 2 for $5 after $20 worth of PUR coupons I redeemed from Cyber Monday sale. I now have Rebirth 1 (digitally), Rebirth 2, Rebirth 3, Noire, and Action Unleashed. I have yet to play a Hyperdimension game :p

Also, they censored the heck out of Criminal Girls for US. If this is your type of game, probably better to import.

It really isn't censored that badly, so unless you can read Japanese, the U.S. version is fine. I got the platinum trophy for it; it was a blast.

Yeah, Cyber Monday only.

I try to check the thread daily for stuff... takes a few seconds on my phone or computer. Often more than once a day. That said, I've missed a lot of deals when I was just too busy to check. Oh well.

I thought the only thing they did to Criminal Girls was add smoke. Doesn't really "affect" gameplay.
Also cropped some images and removed voices during mini games. Censorship detailed on Kotaku: http://kotaku.com/with-censorship-this-inane-criminal-girls-should-have-1684454619

You can import Asian version with English subs.

I never looked into this game before today. The premise sounds funny.

It's still a fun game to play. I mean everyone loves hearing some ladies moaning and screaming while they're being punished, but it's not bad without that. I would recommend the game as well.

Looking for memory card advice. I'm picking up a Vita in December for Gundam Extreme VS. Force, and I'm going to go dual-region with it, which I know requires two different memory cards. The Japanese one will just be used for saves/DLC for Gundam Extreme VS and Gundam Breaker 2, and maybe saves and DLC for any good exclusive japanese Vita games (that I don't currently know about.) I'll also get a much larger memory card for normal use in US PSN for my normal use of the Vita.

Will 4GB be fine for the Japanese memory card? How should I go about getting the best deal on memory cards? Gamestop was sold out on the Cyber Monday deal before I could order.

This may be a dumb question, but I'm setting up my new Vita TV. I want to link my PSN account, but it says I need to do a system update first. Is there no way to just link my account without updating?

For the card size, I'd say it depends on how many Japanese games you envision yourself buying. Although if you're buying one right off the bat, you'll probably be open to getting more in the future.

For finding a good price, it's the same as with any product; just shop around.

I'm wondering the exact same thing. I have a 3.36 PSTV I don't want to update, but want to play non whitelisted games from the PSN store loaded onto another system's memory card.

You won't be able to simply switch cards. Switching regions used to require reinitializing the system. Think it still does.

I know, but from what I've heard, it's relatively painless and doesn't involve losing anything except system settings like Wifi passwords.

CRAP!

I knew i should have just ordered a copy if Disgaea 4 on NISA the other day when i got the email. For some stupid reason i waited and now when i went to order it today it was already out of stock! Its not a very good LE but considering the vanilla copy itself is usually almost $50 anyway that was really dumb not grabbing it

Any chance they will be restocking on those at all? Or did i just miss out?

Oh gosh, now you guys have me worried about my 64GB card. It hasn't had any problems whatsoever in the nearly-two years since I bought it (Feb. 2014), but still. :???:
THats whats kept me from getting a 64gb card. All the sellers of it on AMazon are random 3rd party sellers which i dont trust for that kind of thing. Cheap defective chinese knock off PSP cards were rampant there back in the day. How do i know it wont be some fake chinese 3rd party bs if i get it there? If im snagging one i want it through an official retailer

Well, what a way to find out that PUR reward points f*cking expire... 27.000 down the drain...
Do PUR Points expire?
The points themself? Nope!

Another question...I didn't realize until today, but I need to find a Vita for a Christmas present. I think I'd prefer the Borderlands bundle new, with the game and memory card. Anyone have any deals on those that I'm missing? Thanks!
Wait what the hell? Do they expire or not? Because i have a shit ton of them that i never use. I thought they never expired? If not whats slep talking about?

PUR points never expire. You only lose them if your membership lapses.

i believe PUR points expire if you don't make a purchase using your pur card for an entire year.
So as long as you buy anything & checkout using your pur card once each year you are good.

PUR Points absolutely expire. I don't know what the conditions are, but this is what I found when I pulled up my account on Monday:

Heads up on the day 2 calendar wallpaper on NISA... HERE. I just wish these had a black background...I'd consider using them if they did. Maybe I'll give them to my son to run through photoshop once they are all out.

Also Deamon Gaze LE is live (Cancel That, I refreshed and it's sold out) & Criminal Girls LE is live again.

Keep in mind Criminal Girls LE sold out and then showed up several times so if you miss one of these deals just keep checking the store page and refresh it regularly. Seems like it was around noon CST yesterday that they went back in stock temporarily with the Disgaea 4 LE so all hope isn't lost.

NISA Store Questions:

IS the NISA store the only way to get a physical copy of Atelier Escha & Logy Plus (and it's only available as an LE)?

Also, if an order is over $75 but one or more of the items are pre-orders will the free shipping still apply?

Stranger of Sword City LE up for pre-order, release 3/22/16 . $59.99

http://store.nisamerica.com/stranger-of-sword-city
Looks like an Etrian style (I know they didn't originate the style) first person dungeon crawler with perma-death. I noticed a week or two back that GameStop had the stand alone game up for pre-order, but they currently don't have the LE.

I'm wanting to try out a dungeon crawler. Is Demon Gaze a good one on the Vita for a first time player of this type of RPG? If not, what's the best option on the Vita for dungeon crawler?

According to what I read, it's not only a good dungeon crawler but is VERY friendly for noobs to the genre as it steps you through everything and doesn't get too overly complex. So a very good choice for a first time player. It's probably where I'm going to start with the genre on the Vita before getting Dungeon Travelers 2 even though I've played more complex games.

Also note Demon Gaze is $20 used or new at gamestop. It's $30 on Amazon for the standard version. $40 standard/ $50 LE on NISA.

I got my copy at Gamestop for just under $20 after tax and all since it was used and most stores in my area had at least one copy.

I've seen this chart tossed around a good bit on the web. I'm relatively new to the genre as well, and Demon Gaze was recommended to me for my first. It's definitely enjoyable, and not super difficult or complicated. It definitely feels like a good way to get into the genre.

I would recommended Dungeon Travellers 2 over Demon Gaze. If you can get past the moe capture screens, I think its a better game. I liked Demon Gaze for about 20 hours, but then the story got tedious and you start to realize that certain classes just don't work well. Dungeon Travellers has a good demo so I would recommend starting there.

I haven't tried any others on that list.

It's actually a great choice for beginners of the genre.
