I don't understand remaking shows that are already in English. It's one thing if they take the premise and then do their own thing, but as I understand it if follows the original pretty closely.

Anyway, was able to see Force Awakens a day early so that's a burden lifted that I don't have to avoid spoilers anymore. It was good, though it didn't knock my socks off like it seems to have done to so many others. I suppose the electricity caused by an opening night crowd enhances the experience.

They played the Independence Day 2 trailer before it, and even though I watched it several times already that speech gets me every time.

 
Bleh, I need to pick up Triforce Heroes with BBY's B1G1 40% off but I have nothing of equal value to pair with it. Only other thing I really want is Xeno, but I may as well get another $60 game like Mario Maker (which I kinda want for the collection but can live without) with that.

Star Wars SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!

Like most others said probably the best and worst thing was Kylo Ren. He started out awesome but without the helmet felt like a whiny goofball. I did like his normal just anger though of trashing shit when something didn't go his way. Liked that he was so flawed. 

I think overall it was really solid, definitely leaps above the last trilogy.

It's silly to say but it was just nice that Star Wars looked like Star Wars again. The action was top notch. Wish there was more of Luke but it serves as a nice setup for the next movie. I could see the heavy parallels to a New Hope but it had enough different that I was ok with it. R.I.P. Han

Star Wars spoiler stuff.

I think it's definitely the pronounced nose is what looks so off about him outside his helmet, not just that its Adrien Brody levels of huge, but that because of it he doesn't look anything like Han or Leia. I thought his acting was fine though.

 
I saw the cast of the new Star Wars movie on a tv show a week before the release. I understand they are not in character but it was a very lackluster cast to me. None on them seemed to have that it factor that grabs attention. I haven't seen the movie yet though, probably won't.

Kylo's like a lot of young people at that age, just with more power and more intimidating with the mask on. Luke was a whiner when he was on the farm. As he learned the Force and patience, he matured. Kylo didn't, probably because he was seduced by the Dark side early, hence why he had those fits of rage when things didn't go his way. Pretty funny when the 2 stormtroopers turned around and went the other way as if to say, this shit again, let's get out of here.

 
Oh, I don't know if any of you had this ad in the previews or ads before they started but Microsoft had an ad where some of their employees sing Let There Be Peace On Earth in front of an Apple store and the Apple employees came out, watched, got emotional and then hugged them after.  I was like o_O WTF IS THIS SHIT.  With all of the real issues in the world, this is their idea of peace on earth?  GTFO.

And it's a main reason why Rey is already miles ahead of him when they fight. They're both naturally gifted obviously. But, I think it's safe to say she's had a much harder life than he has. Abandoned or taken from her parents, forced to live on her own and doing whatever she can and teaching herself to survive matures a person a lot more quickly. Which is why she's able to figure out more about The Force so quickly. Adapt and survive.

It was also cool that Kylo saw that ocean which he read as her escape place in her mind when, it was more than likely Luke or The Force giving her a vision of where Luke was. She just didn't realize it until the end when they found him.

 
wow I forgot how much freedom wars fucking sucks. this is the kind of bullshit that's in the last optional missions:

- mission says defeat 3 abductors in 45 minutes
- mission starts, 2 are spawned. Beat them up.
- find a third one that spawned. Well that's 3. Finish him off, mission doesn't end.
- oh, there's a fourth one on the map. Fine. Kill him with 5 minutes left.
- and a fifth one spawns. goddammit. manage to get him halfway down and he kidnaps my partner and the team wipes.
- Time runs out a couple minutes later, mission failed.

terrible awful game.

I dont recommend moonshine to anyone. Even this well made stuff is hard to swallow. Literally. It had a nice flavor too. English toffee and orange. Their vodka is world class though. Or so they say. They won some medals or something at the world vodka tasting champs or something...

I assume it is better to wait for the GOTY edition (or whatever they are calling it) to come out in February and either get it with GCU or what a month or two after that for a price drop?

I did play umvc3 missions for a while though which is its own kind of torture. I forgot how stinkin hard they get. I think I spent an hour getting ryu's last mission done and if I remember right it's one of the easier ones. Oh well, only like 120 left now.

It has to be a terrible thing not to be able to sleep. I sleep well 99% of the time so the one day a year I cant sleep its an awful feeling. Having to deal with that more often would kill me. Cause I would drink even more heavily to try and sleep and my liver would be dead already.

I was up. Slept in a little today and when I got up at 8 to let the dog out the fucker peed on the floor behind me while I was opening the door. Aughhhhhhh

I have one kid that at 5 years old can't sleep through the night and she likes to make sure I know it because she wants me to die early I guess. She's hollered me out of bed probably 28 out of the last 30 days. The insomnia thing is new and I assume it's just because it's been so long since I've had a normal sleep routine. I pretty much all the way hate it. I think it also makes me sick a lot more, I'm on day 5 of some sore throat/cough thing now. I used to never get sick.
