This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

You can get Android phones for less than that.

Also most 'muricans get their phones 'free' in the same way the games on PSN+ are 'free'.

Ah, ok. Well, I agree that is a little bit unfair to liken something to a mod just because it's an arena game. I can see where he's coming from though since there were so many clever derivations of Quake and Unreal Tournament that spring from a similar thought.

I haven't played it, but from what I hear it's a highly polished game and it's a mischaracterization to call it a mod of any type. I just didn't want there to be any further confusion since the developer was so closely tied to the retail release of UT2004.

Very interesting. Given that it's Microsoft, this will probably fail in spectacular fashion, but if they can make this stick it could have some definite ramifications on the console market.

I still sort of regret not embracing GoG for new releases.  Then I realize that I'm lazy and wouldn't be able to find any of my games ever again.

I found quite a few posts just by Googling his name that say he's been fighting with them to pay him at all since December 2014, when Oovee shut him out of his game.

Low, certainly. Ransomware is disgusting.

And yet, he's probably dealing with Eastern Yuropeens and some crazy multiple layers of corporate bullshit.

I don't want to defend him, but at the same time I can understand the man who has been cheated by people he cannot challenge to duel (Alas we are not in a civilized era.) nor having any real recourse of his own just going "fuck you all. I'll burn the whole motherfucker down then!"

Do I approve? No. If I were in the same situation, would I do what he did? Probably. I wouldn't expect the first me to understand the fictional me's position though, but the first me isn't paying fictional me either.

Does anyone know if the retail copy of Dying Light will give the enhanced edition if the code is redeemed on Steam? Just wondering if I'll get the DLC (especially the expansion).

No, Following is always DLC. Period. You can't get it with any packaged deal.

Enhanced Edition is just what they're calling the big new patch to DL that came with Following. Any and all DL is now DL Enhanced Edition.

Just so you don't spend a bunch of time chasing your tail because Madjoki drops a vague statement (Madjoki? Vague? Who knew!?) the link to the latest user made fix for Spintires is here: http://www.filedropper.com/spintirescrashfixv4

There's a guy named "localhost" on a thread at the Ovee forums that has been working on it.

Apparently, getting the arr'ed version will also solve the problem. :p

The publisher just has their thumb up their ass and keeps making promises but no official fix from them. They also didn't even bother announcing the issue at Steam so there's multiple threads about ha1p mai geim crushes!!! etc.

Is there an easy way to buy something from Nuuvem for something that is PayPal locked? I know the 2 Endless Legend expansions are region free, but there's a PayPal address check and 10$~ is way more enticing for both, than 25$~.

Short answer is no. Long answer is there's a way to possibly fake it with a prepaid card from Argentina but it costs $25 to set it up which defeats the purpose.

I think you can buy them via Russian regional pricing at GGate but they've been cracking down and investigating purchases and banning for VPN abuse lately.

My GG account got banned for grabbing Vermintide. I tried on GG, where the price in Russian was even better, but using both vyperVPN and TunnelBear, it identified that I was using a proxy and denied it. Unless I did something wrong.

 
Does anyone have an extra Gas Guzzlers Extreme? It keeps going out of stock on Tremor and I was wondering if anyone wanted to broker a deal for it, in exchange for something else on Tremor that is available.

Interesting. I can get Counter-Strike Go for six bucks thanks to the discount. Not like I'd buy that awful game, but the option is there at least!

I really wish other companies would follow suit but who'm I kidding? The only ones that will do this are repeat bundlers. No way in hell Telltale will lower the price of their big bundles anytime soon.

Yeah you did, you're not supposed to buy or even be logged in at all with the vpn on. Which is probably why they are cracking down because people are messing it up and making it obvious to them what's going on. I should never have mentioned it here in the first place so that people could half ass it and get caught. :p

Anyway, just wait for a sale. It goes on sale quite a bit. Just set it up with Isthereanydeal to notify you whenever those two DLC go on sale.
