MORE LIKE WON'T BUY PROMISE AM I RIGHT

None of Microsoft's own GFWL games are currently on Steam. This includes Halo 2, Shadowrun (which I own), this game, and Gears of War. Fable 3, Age of Empires Online, and Microsoft Flight were removed from Steam. I was disappointed during that GFWL sale that Gears of War didn't drop down to $1.
Makes me scared to even purchase Gears of War on the Window 10's store.

Microsoft really ran GFWL very poorly

Hm. No, that's not quite right. Fable III and Flight Simulator X are still on Steam. AOEO was removed because the game was shut down completely. Fable III was removed from the store around the time of the GfWL shutdown because it was no longer being sold, but it's still sitting in my RPG backlog on Steam, leering at me.

That's what I was thinking. It's cute they're trying to sell digital games at MSRP. I hope not making any money works out for them.
At least people would be getting it from a legit site rather than some shady site....cuz dat wud be HORRIBAD!!!!!

He's apparently been erased from history. Though, he lives on in my heart when I see this emoticon. :newbie:

Division update:

I finished the prologue before you get to Manhattan. Had a ton of fun. Loving this game. Also, this happened:
Yea, I have to say it's absolutely awesome as full version. I was not entirely impressed with the beta, but the game has sucked me in fully. Even the story is interesting. I'm up to level 9 now and have yet to enter the Dark Zone, waiting for some bros to do that. Im doing a lot of missions and upgrading my base.

Hmmmmm, guess I have to change my bait for other fish....

  • I heard the latest DotEMU port is really, really GREAT!!!!
  • How much VRAM does "The Derpvision" need?
  • Anyone have a spare key for fuckIt's Great x 4, Mummified Grandma?
  • Is G2A a shady site?

There, that should do it....

what is ur uplay id?
i am lvl 19 ready to head into the dark zone. i went with eld last night before the server maintenance. he was under lvl, lvl 14, and we end up in different dark zone instance. but he was able to fast travel to me in the options to the same one within a few mins. and we started extraction. we avoided rogues most of the time. n back up out of a few extraction pts, because there were more than 4 players there already , and looking suspicious.
i went back solo after the mainteance came back up. i was able to extract a decent upgrade weapon.

i currently do 10k dmg/10k health

Might've been mentioned already, but you now have to confirm every market listing with the mobile app if you have mobile auth on. Yes, this means all trading cards regardless of value. wtf were u thinking valve

I don't know if I have the patience for this kind of shit.

BUT WHAT ABOUT TEH SOUNDTRAXS

I briefly glanced at a thread on steamgifts where some people were speculating the hassle of listing will make card prices rise a bit...

I'm cheap so I'll still authorize every listing so I can get my free 3 cents.

I can understand authorizing $1000 CS:GO skins or something but having to confirm every $0.05 card I sell on the mobile app seems extremely dumb.

Only 412 card drops until I am all caught up, woo!

Stardew Valley has sold 425,000 copies

Yesterday I got a chance to speak with the lone developer of Stardew Valley, Eric Barone, about the sky-rocketing popularity of a game he says started out as a way to learn how to program. While it's clear to see from Steam's best seller list, the front page of Twitch, and all over the internet that Stardew Valley has been well-received, Barone revealed just how popular it really was. According to him, roughly 425,000 copies of the game have been sold across Steam and GOG as of March 9—only 12 days after launch.

For comparison, only a handful of games seemed to sell more than a million copies on Steam last year. Barone told me he never expected the game to be this popular. "I thought it would be popular with people who were fans of Harvest Moon or Rune Factory, and I thought that would pretty much be it," Barone said, "I never expected it to have such wide appeal. I mean, I'm super happy about it and I'm blown away by the reaction, but I'm surprised too."

Even with Steam being known to take about one-third of the cost, and publisher Chucklefish most likely taking a share as well, it's not inconceivable to assume that Barone has suddenly seen himself become a multimillionaire. But Barone made it clear he doesn't want Stardew's success going to his head, saying "I don't want it to affect my life in any way. My lifestyle isn't going to change." He also intends to keep the scale of development at a similar level, saying he'd consider hiring help for "more technical aspects of the game," but that he generally prefers to work alone.

Check back tomorrow for our full interview with Barone, where he reflects more on the success of the game, what's coming to Stardew Valley next, and a secret he says no one has found yet. And if you're one of the many people playing Stardew Valley, we're currently looking for screenshots of your farm!

Also, for you Division types:

The Division breaks Ubisoft sales records

Well I guess we know why Ubisoft's servers had a little stumble as The Division came online in the US: it's broken company records for the most copies of any game sold in 24 hours, in total, on PC and on those strange living room game boxes.

Exact figures are not forthcoming, but we know that it's nicked the crown from Watchdogs, their previous day-one best-seller, and that shifted 4 million copies over the course of a week. Working backwards, carrying the zero and dividing by pi, that equates to... a lot of Division players.

"This is a momentous day for Ubisoft," CEO Yves Guillemot said in a blog post, "but more importantly it marks the start of millions of players’ enduring engagement in The Division’s game world, which we are confident they will love.”

There's the real test for Ubisoft Massive: 'enduring engagement'. It's all very well to get millions in through the door, but as Destiny (holder of the global record for 24-hour sales) discovered, it's harder to keep them there. Ubi will have to be ready to change its approach at the drop of a hat. Our James Davenport is enjoying his first few hours with The Division and still has plenty left to play, but how New York will fare a month after first contact is more important than its opening day.
The full interview with ConcernedApe is out, just a small part from it:

So here I was deciding I would make a quick little game to try to learn how to code in C#, I decided I would make a Harvest Moon clone. Four years later that eventually evolved into Stardew Valley. At first it was just going to be a way to practice and get better at programming.

Oh, and one thing that just realized in terms of the talk way back about games coming to Windows Store only, you can use bing points to get Windows Store gift cards (goes up to $10).

Doesn't sound too much different than 2K15 PC, size-wise.

2K15 PC is around 36GB.

MysterD cares. MysterD is a big-time wrestling fan, in general. I watch WWE, TNA, and RoH.

And I really dug WWE 2K15 PC, even despite its shortcomings.

Further discussions regarding game limitations from the windows 10 store from Durante. It makes for an interesting read. Will have to see if Microsoft will change any of their ways... It sounds like another GFWL waiting to fail since we have to accept all games purchased on windows marketplace were lost.

http://www.pcgamer.com/why-pc-games-should-never-become-universal-apps/
well, in before the M$ white knights come to this thread and give u a beating

Universal apps first came to our attention with the Windows Store version of Rise of the Tomb Raider missing display settings available in the Steam version, and escalated with Epic Games co-founder Tim Sweeney criticizing universal Windows apps as a closed platform that “can, should, must and will, die as a result of industry backlash” if Microsoft doesn’t open it up.

While it would suck if Universal Windows App (UWA) does cause UWA games to not be moddable, not have much options for graphics bells & whistles, not be PC feature-rich, and not have important PC-only stuff - but I'd still rather have the games actually here on the PC than not at all.

That old catch-22.

I really hope the market is big enough for Microsoft UWA, Steam, GOG, and anything else to survive in the PC gaming climate.

EDIT:

And Microsoft needs to do a MUCH-MUCH-MUCH better job w/ their game-client & game-store - and actually continue to support the damn thing. Seriously, G4WL toolbar in-game for all those games were garbage + the G4WL Marketplace game-client program absolutely sucked.

Again, I'm a noob to PC gaming. I'm interested in the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Sega Weekend Steam sales, but I know you guys mostly buy games in bundles from other sites to get them cheaper. Have the Hyperdimension Neptunia or Sega games like Sonic Racing ever been offered in bundles before? If so, I'll wait and sit on my Steambucks.

For future reference, https://isthereanydeal.com/

It can tell you lowest prices, bundle info, etc, basically everything you would want to know about the history of a game.

I would also suggest installing the enhanced steam browser plugin and browse steam through the website. It will automatically add a listing of the lowest historical, current lowest price, # times bundled, etc. right on the game page

http://www.enhancedsteam.com/

Also keep in mind not only if something was in a bundle but at what price. Like Neptunia 1 was in a Humble but at some crazy $10 tier meanwhile it's been on sale a number of times cheaper than that.

Lastly, don't let this crew cheap shame you for something you will actually play right now. If it's at price you're happy with and you honestly will play it now go for it. If you are backlogging though do check the data Enhanced Steam shows on the store page to get an idea if you're getting the cheapest price or should wait.

whats going on here, 2 instant identical helpful post in a row?  I thought we only insulted peoples moms or shamed people who dont have $15 of disposable income.

Wow, thanks for the help, guys! I used to come here only for the Nicki Minaj hair flipping GIFs, but I've learned a lot about how to navigate Steam in addition to getting the best bang for your buck!!!

Just wait until I start talking DRM, VRAM and go on other long-winded rants...

Bobby pointed out that using WinAuth is much easier than what I was doing, which was emulating the full Android OS. Don't want Steam on my phone.
You're welcome. Seriously, WinAuth is great if you either don't want the Steam shit on your phone or have a non-supported phone platform (me).

http://www.winauth.com/

You can password lock WinAuth and there's a number of other fun things you can do to further encrypt your information in case someone steals your computer? It's neat.

Thanks to Spoder for originally telling me about it.

Damnit. Missed it, but I just paid like 60 cents for it too. :wall:

Wasn't into digital download clients at the time, really wish I was.

As warreni pointed out, Flight is able to purchased right now and Fable 3 is available, but real hard to find.

Wow, thanks. A promotion that combines my love of pizza with my love of math??? Sign me u-

Gross, it's Pizza Hut. :puke:

I'll still compete though, but I never got further than advanced calc in undergrad, so I'm probably fucked.

Valve must have been losing a shit ton on hacked or duped items to have effectively turned off the free money card-trading spigot to combat it.
Tinfoil here, but I think it might be an attempt to drive card prices up so they can milk us for more money (because remember, Valve and devs get a cut of card sales or whatever).

It's Valve, so nothing surprises me anymore.

Neptunia was bundled in a $10-tier, but otherwise no. 80% of the SEGA games have been free or bundled or dirt-cheap or whatever. Like everyone else said, check ITAD. Or just shoot me a PM/Steam message and let me know what games you're looking at.

Did that Stacking key work by the way?

Nuuvem is running yet another Warner Bros. weekend sale. The heck?

http://www.nuuvem.com/catalog/price/promo/publishers/warner-bros-games

The prices are the same as before, but... doesn't it seem like they're having way too many WB sales? They had one two weeks ago, and they had the Double Dose sale THREE weeks ago...
Completely agree with you. Is Lego Batman 3 (the only title I really give a shit about) more expensive than it was last time? Seems like it.

It's funny, given how long WB had their games yanked from Nuuvem.
