Now that the dust has settled, I think you guys have talked me out of a $5 Killzone rebuy. Maybe I'll stick with just Banner Saga and Hitman Go this sale.

Why do I have the feeling that Killzone is on this bc it's set to be offered on PS Plus in the near future? Its like they are trying to push any last minute sales before they take the plunge

Man this is a bad sale. Is Killzone, Thief and Murdered Soul Suspect really the best AAA games they can offer? Those might very well be the 3 worst AAA games on the system outside of the new Homefront. And I already own a lot of the digital games like Outlast and Transistor because of PS Plus.

Some great deals for PS3 however.

was thinking bout getting journey, my friend asked "is that the game where u walk in sand, and your swag is measured by the length of the scarf thing?" I was like *remove from cart.

I have heard that Journey is a great experience. I know almost nothing about it. Someone did tell me to try and do it all in one go. However, i don't usually have lots of time to game all at once. 30 minutes here and there. Still recommend?

Grabbed Hitman Go, Beach Buggy Racing and Riptide GP2 just now. Other than the first Need for Speed, I've got no other racing games and the prices and file sizes for the mobile ports were just right to have a little bit of arcade action on my PS4. Considering Terraria and the first Jackbox, but I couldn't get into Terraria on Vita and I don't play multiplayer games ever so I'm not sure if You Don't Know Jack is worth the $5.

Do it. It's worth the journey.

Thinking about beach buggy racing & gp2.
I loved most mario karts, original crash team racing, & Sonic allstar racing 1&2.
Didn't like the ps2 crash karts, mod nation racers was so so, lbp kart was quickly boring.
Opinions if I'd like these?
Thanks

so I'm guessing ebay does all their gift card deals toward the end of a quarter or something?

when i joined they were having them weekly for 3 weeks or so but then nothing since

Save your $5 and skip Killzone Shadow Fall. It's abysmal.
In today's market, there's no game that isn't worth $5. Since $5 isn't even a good lunch anymore, buying a game that gives any enjoyment, achievements or even just a story of how good or bad it is, makes them all worth $5. From Dora the explorer to Duck Dynasty and beyond. If $5 to you is more and you need to be more discriminating, that's fine too.

While that is true time is likely more important than anything. Say I get a $5 game, and it sucks for the 10 hours I finish it in. It may not be worth it even for $5. Too many games really, and if you spent $5 on all of them, you would likely be broke.

You can spend money on whatever shit you want but some people may not want to.

Isn't that on you for giving it a full 10 hours then?

It's really not that long to begin with, probably 2 or 3 hours for a full playthrough (but totally worth it)...and there are advantages to playing it like that (like keeping the vibe going and the fact that you sometimes cross paths with other players online, meaning you can sort of have a random anonymous "partner" for a while...which also sort of feeds into the game's overall metaphor). But it can easily be played in chunks, too. So, yes, still recommended.

I was only going to get :ps4: The Banner Saga but ended up grabbing :ps4: Defense Grid 2 & :ps4: Beach Buggy Racing also. Would have been a great flash sale if I didn't have most of the good stuff.

Another vote for Hitman Go. I played it on mobile last year, and it was a great puzzle game. Easily playable in chunks, good for those times when you're waiting in line or on public transportation. If you haven't played it yet this is an amazing price. I'd imagine it would be just as fun on the PS4 as it is on the Vita. The diorama sets are beautiful. If Square Enix sold real life models of the levels that you could display on a shelf, they'd sell a lot of them.

Defense Grid 2 is OK as far as tower defense games go, bought it earlier in the year. Does not have the charm of Pixel Junk Monsters, but it is also a little less frustrating (mainly because you can rewind to earlier waves within a level if you mess up).

It's not on the flash sale, but if you're willing to part with $7.99, I will again recommend Letter Quest which is a mash-up between a word game and a role-playing game that is cross-buy for PS4 and Vita. I bought it on PS4 along with the games I got from the flash sale and two hours passed without me noticing I had been playing it that long last night. The price goes up to $9.99 when the store changes on Tuesday.

Edit: Grabbed Terraria and both Jackbox Party Packs for PS4 before work this morning. Perhaps someday I will play a multiplayer game with friends and the Jackboxes will come in handy. But it was a great deal! And I still have $4.99 in my PSN wallet for Downwell when it comes out on Tuesday.

Hitman trilogy

hitman absolution

journey

rogue legacy

outlast

dont starve giant edition

the darkness 2
was hoping a 30% off 10$ card would pop up before the end of the sale but nothing showed up

went ahead and grabbed the below to add to the above

flower

grim fandango

grow home

another good sale imo

I picked up

Real pool- nice little "distraction" game. I generally good for 3-5 games of actual pool a year so this scratches that itch. 5$ is spot on.

And I got The Golf Club- not a fan of the sport so lack of licensed players/ courses do not bother me. The mechanics are solid but the real star is the Canadian announcer who deadpans every line. Even if it is not intentional, it's pretty funny. Good deal at $5

I passed on Grim Fandango and Sound Shapes. Picked up

Persona 3 Portable
DBZ Battle of Z
Little Big Planet Vita
Don't Starve
Croixleur Sigma (from the weekly sale)

Picked up
Hitman go
Banner saga
Letter quest

Can't decide on Killzone Shadowfall! Always liked the multi, never really tried the campaign before I traded it. Worth it for $5?

Picked up Beach Buggy Racing because i'm a sucker for racing games. Still debating Murdered Soul Suspect and The Golf Club.

I picked up Banner Saga, I Am Bread, Journey, Jackbox 2, and Persona 3 Portable. $24 total.

I am Bread seems a likely future PS+ title, but as long as it doesn't happen next month I'll be ok-ish with it. I finally broke down and bought the disc version of Journey used a few weeks ago, but the prospect of playing it on PS4 (and possibly remote play on Vita) got me to double dip.

I also considered Killzone Shadow Fall, but I got the disc for $5 used in one of GS's 4 for $20 sales. And Just Cause 2 was tempting because of the bundled extras, but I have it digitally on Xbox, so I'll stick with that version (I don't think the extras amount to much).

I picked up Hitman Go then ended up getting the new Zen Pinball tables (alien and family guy sets) that weren't even on sale lol.  Easy trophies on Hitman Go

Almost purchased LittleBigPlanet for Vita but I know that would be a waste. I have yet to even touch LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4.

I mean for 5 it's worth it but the campaign really isn't anything special. If you already got a backlog I say avoid this one.

If you already got a backlog
Who on CAG doesn't have one lol? If there happens to be somebody on this site who doesn't, then they need to

I don't have a backlog. It's a library (Actually not a joke. If you look at it like a library to peruse at your leisure instead of a backlog that you are expected to finish, sanity (if it was there to begin with) can be maintained).

I don't have a dinner. It's a buffet.  If you look at it this way you can soothe your conscience for constantly overeating because it's okay to overeat at a buffet.  Hope this helps...  :)

Grabbed Hitman: Go, Thief, and Riptide GP..  go ahead and pencil in Thief for PS+ now that I pulled the trigger on it.. lol

I imagine someone out there just surfs this site for a deal on one good game to play at a time lol. In all honesty I love this site but usually I end up spending more on video games then intended since I catch so many deals back to back.

It's a love/hate relationship with CAG, I love this site sometimes but then when I look at my shelves and digi games I be like
