So I'm considering picking up Murdered: Soul Suspect, Defense Grid 2 and DBZ: Battle of Z for Vita. Any suggestions or tips? Are these games good and worth their asking price? I honestly don't know much about any of them. Murdered looks kinda like L.A. Noire which I was into so maybe that's a good idea?
Defense Grid 2 is a very good tower defense game, highly suggested

Funny how the Hitman HD Trilogy is cheaper than Blood Money by itself.
Blood Money still holds up, played it again last year. Contracts (which I played after that) is a bit more uneven as it features a few remade levels from the first Hitman game. Haven't played Hitman 2 since it was on PS2.

Wow, we really voted for the wrong game with Grow Home. Have those other two even been on sale since that month the three of them were released? Grow Home has been dirt cheap multiple times since then.
Should price be the only factor on that stuff or should personal interest and quality be the more important thing? Maybe that's why the more recent vote only featured games of the same price so people couldn't make this argument.

I would jump on P3P, but I can never decide between that and FES. FES has more content, but I heard the gameplay in P3P is better.

I'm considering Grim Fandango, Little Big Planet, Battle of Z, and Sound Shapes.

I might buy something from this flash sale, but I'm most excited about Downwell coming to PS4 and Vita with cross-buy next Tuesday. Gotta save $4.99 for that!

I love LA Noire but I thought that Murdered Soul Suspect was just OK. There really isn't any gameplay to speak of. You collect a bunch of clues and then you have to pick out the relevant ones, but you can't fail. Even if you select the wrong clues you just do it again until you pick the right ones. There are a few shitty stealth sections that you can technically fail, but the game checkpoints right before these areas.

It's basically just an interactive detective/ghost story, which I don't have a problem with except that I didn't really care for the story or the characters. (Some people liked it though!)

So how's Journey?
I played the demo a while ago and was pretty lost on what to do.

Got to some part of the desert after flying around randomly for a few minutes then the demo was over.

Is it like that the entire way?

Considering Murdered Soul Suspect, Thief, Killzone, and ArcaniA

Except I have Murdered Soul Suspect on PC

I'm 75% sure Killzone is PS+ freebie bound

Apparently Thief sucks?

So any feedback on ArcaniA? and Why is the third A capitalized?

I understand and I mostly enjoyed Grow Home, but it does feel a little cheap having that one be almost free multiple times when the other two haven't been discounted much (as far as I know). For the record, I had an interest in the other two also. I'd be fine if the other two games were also put on sale multiple times for a couple bucks. My comment is only on the difference between Grow Home and the other two for their pricing since release and not the initial pricing.

anybody that gets defense grid 2 and cares about trophies please let me know if you get the 100 gold missions trophy. i played the hell out of the game at release but that trophy never popped even though i had well over 100 golds. that is the only one i need for a platinum

Hitman trilogy

hitman absolution

journey

rogue legacy

outlast

dont starve giant edition

the darkness 2

good flash sale, I have a lot of them and snagged the ones above

much cheaper for me this flash sale was only 30 bucks and I already had 10 in amazon credit to buy the giftcards to use

been waiting forever for darkness 2 and journey to go on sale and I knew if I waited for the flash sale it would be better on psn than the xbox

It's very relaxing. I fell asleep during it. I just don't get the hype for that game.

It's...a Journey. You take it alone or in pairs with another, randomly matched online player in which you have to figure out how to navigate terrain. Some of that is through gussied up switch throwing or platforming. It starts in the desert, but there are other areas and eventually enemies are added.

I would jump on P3P, but I can never decide between that and FES. FES has more content, but I heard the gameplay in P3P is better.

Did you recently get a Sony console? Several of those games have been free on PS+ recently.

P3P kind of has more content just in terms of there being a male MC campaign and female MC campaign that have different social links and such. Wiki The nature of the dungeons in that game lends itself very well to the PSP/Vita in terms of being able to put it into sleep mid-dungeon instead of having to play through the whole section at once for the full benefit.

Journey's fantastic. It's extremely linear, so it shouldn't be hard to figure out what to do. You're basically just exploring the environment until you find little areas of interest to do simple puzzles or find collectibles. I'd suggest checking out the demo again and paying a little more attention. Maybe check out the first part of a Let's Play on Youtube if you don't want to do that.

My lord, the change from the eSHop deals post to this post is so refreshing. Does Nintendo ever look at competition? They put the same game on sale - Terraria - and Nintendo kept it >$10 higher than PSN.

If you have the slightest interest, please get Super Mega Baseball. I want them to make another one and indirectly force MLB to finally make substantial improvements! SMB takes the sluggishness out of baseball by keeping it fast and arcadey, yet these devs clearly have a love for the game shownby keeping in the nuanced elements that make baseball so great.

Rogue Legacy is another lesser-known title that absolutely has to be had at this price.

Personally I was hoping for RE HD remakes to go cheap. Dammit Capcom.

Sound Shapes I wouldn't get, wait for the ultimate bundle to be on sale again. the DLC never goes on sale and if you buy the vanilla game you will be locked out of buying the UE bundle.

That's partly the fault of the devs of the other two games not putting them on sale as often as Ubisoft, who wants to constantly remind you that they exist and that they're willing to put stuff on sale to get your money. The blame shouldn't be on the voters for picking what they most wanted to play.

Oh yeah, Blood Money is one of my favorite games. I like the series as a whole, but Blood Money is the peak. New Hitman seems like it's very much like BM, but I'm not a fan of the extremely overt guidance. Apparently you can turn all that shit off, though. It does have a lot of hilarious, Blood Money-esque ways of assassinating.

Killzone is the only one that jumps out at me but it's so friggin large in file size I'll probably wait for physical to drop way down.

And if any of you are trophy whores Murdered Soul Suspect is a east platinum. Did it on PS3 and PS4. Incredibly boring "game" however.

Have you played P3 before? I feel like FES would be best for the first playthrough, with P3P as a second play using the female protagonist.

The biggest difference is that P3P removed the third-person stuff when outside of dungeons. Everything is static, with isometric backgrounds, and characters are represented by sprites in the school/dorms/shops. You just move a cursor around to choose who to talk to/where to go. Cutscenes have also been pared down.

That said, it also does balance the gameplay, including re-inserting something that I was pissed FES took out from the original: you can't get tired in Tartarus the night before a full moon. So you can spend all month doing S-Links, then just do all the grinding you need to in one night. Maximum efficiency!

Terraria on 3DS has only been out for a few months while the PS4 version is 1.5 years old now, so it's not surpring that it gets more of a steep discount on a Flash Sale-type circumstance than the first sale after launch. Context is important, though publishers/developers do seem to be more hesitant to go for cheaper sale prices for games that have been out long enough to deserve them on Nintendo.

Ended up picking up Journey, Flower and Defense Grid 2 from the sale, just a little over 10 bucks for all 3. Defense Grid: The Awakening was actually a sleeper favorite of mine on 360 back when I got that with GwG. Journey and Flower always seemed interesting, got Flow a while back as well when it was on sale.

I have so much from this sale already that almost everything has Purchased under it. 97.8% of what's left is straight garbage. Will get :ps4: Banner Saga though but that's it.

Anyone know if Banner Saga will eventually be cross buy when it hits Vita? Going to grab it for the PS4 either way but the icing on the purchase would be getting it free on the Vita at release.

Nice list this time around! Only thing I see that I really want is Banner Saga, hope to see some more games hit Vita that was the only area of disappointment for me, but still some good deals there just already have the games.

Even with as mediocre of reviews it got, I've always had a passing interest in Murdered: Soul Suspect.

I'm sure it will be a PS+ or GwG at some point...especially if I buy it.

And it shows like 8.5 GB? Is that accurate? If it's that small, it may push me over the edge.

I was hoping for a good unravel deal

I might snag it on xbox

keep hoping one of the systems put it around 8 bucks but I might just get it now I dunno

That is basically it. And yet it was great. YMMV.

I also feel peer pressure to get Banner Saga.

War of the Monsters is a must for me to play with my kids.

And for some reason, I want Boggle. Talk me out of it.

I have a lot of these games already but this seems like a solid sale.

Finally, Persona 3 is back below $10! I wish the other Atlus games made an appearance for their cheaper prices as well, but I can wait.
