I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Damn. Missed the giveaway. 3000 keys is obviously far too few, given the nature of the internet. Already had Vran, but not the Giana game or the adventure game.

Heaven's Hope actually looks pretty decent. Hopefully if it's in a free giveaway, then it'll at least end up bundled at some point before too long. Already have VV, and although I like the main Giana Sisters game, I don't think I'd play c competitive running game.

Indeed. The true way to PC game is to own thousands of games and only play those that are free. This is why I've already put 19 hours into OmniBus. Yeah, let's go with that.

For the record, the foreignbros contingent consists of Foxy, Syntax, hal, and myself. Although I think Tomasety was about to join when I had to go varnish some cabinets (totally not a euphemism).

 
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide has free weekend today and tomorrow.

Any brodate planned for it?  Everyone can play for free and hang with the bros

Yeah, that's how it went down. Tomas did join us eventually but then had to leave too. So it was mostly Syntax and I playing for about 3 hours. It was fun. I leveled up to 10 thanks to Syntax letting me fight the Patriarch at the end all by myself. Thanks for that bro.

Coincidentally Indef would love to play some Vermintide this weekend. I maxed out my gaming time today, but maybe some bros could join you guys tonight?

 
How does everyone here like Vermintide so far?

Left 4 Dead with melee focus + rats instead = works for me. 

[shrug]

Granted, I only have a little over an hour with this so far - but, I'm digging it quite a bit.

Tomas was disgusted with Fox setting the KF2 games on Normal difficulty. And after Hal left us, we had a field medic who only ever healed me when we were between round at the trader pod. As opposed to, you know, while we were fighting. Oh, and a berserker who was so proud of his glow in the dark laser katana skin that he would only use the katana. Sometimes it's all worth it just to marvel at the variety of people in the world.

You guys did a good job with Normal -- I don't think I saw anyone really get into a dangerously low level of health. Next time set it to Hard just for laughs. You also get a little more XP. :twoguns:

 
So I woke up yesterday and my game hard drive was dead, tried using windows tools and went to work but no go.  Used another program from net and went to bed this morning no go. Went wout with wife and kid and got back a bit ago and seagate tools was a no go.  

Any advice on recovering the drive or data?

have you tried to plug it into another machine if you have one? Does it make a nasty clicking sound when you tried to get the data with the tools you mentioned?

Yeah, I've soloed as berserker on Hard and completed the levels. We just started casual and never bothered to set it up differently.

Double xp is until Tuesday (since Fox was wondering about the end date before). Enough time to get a toe-hold in on a couple perks just so I don't feel completely gimpy with them in the future.

No other machine available, just took it out and put it in an enclosure to test it as it wouldn't allow windows 10 to boot. No clicking sounds, just fails when running tests and then disappears from the list of available hard drives. Has asked me to format several times during tests though.

if your HD took a shit oh well buy a new one and download again

you spent more time trying to fix something that i would have spent buying new parts and having them delivered

You can still sell foils for a lot if you get lucky with the anime games and get a card before anybody else does.  People are dumb and you still see the occasional high buy order for anime foils.  Non-anime bundle fodder foil cards are next to impossible to sell.

And Battleborn is fun.  I haven't been able to play much, way too busy, but I like it.  I am not sure it can recover though, having so many issues at launch and coming out right before Overwatch.   Maybe if it goes F2P they can salvage it.  The game was not ready for release, honestly.  The match making is terrible and the high price tag combined with locked characters and immediate DLC turned a lot of people off in the first place.  I would have passed on it myself if I hadn't grey-marketed the game for less than half of retail.

I already sent for RMA, since it was still under warranty, I just wanted to backup stuff since I can't remember if I put anything else besides games on it. I gave up on it a few hours ago.

There's a team Iron Man mystery box if you login to Marvel Heroes this weekend. The Civil War event is winding down so this will certainly be the last gift from it.

 
I know its an old game and its not free still need some opinions. Is it worth 12 bucks to buy bioshock infinite and the season pass?Just getting it for the DLC. Played infinite on ps3 when it came out got the Plat and sold it. wanna know if the burial at sea dlcs are worth the purchase

Yes, they are. The DLC is pretty amazing and finishes the story--you know what I'm talking about since you beat the main game before. The only downside is that the GOTY version was $8 two years ago from WinGameStore. It should be cheaper than $12 by now.

Steam sale starts in another month, I'd wait until then before purchasing it.

Just for Burial at Sea? Eh, probably not. Chapter One is very short, maybe an hour or so and it's basically identical play to BSI base game. Chapter Two is better: it's a few hours long and is a stealth game featuring Elizabeth but I can't say that the total experience is worth $12 (although I guess the Season Pass MSRPs at $15, doesn't it?)

Edit: I'll revise slightly to say that if you really liked BSI and the characters/story, etc then it's possibly worth it. As a standalone sort of gaming experience, I'd say no. Like Blade says, it does a nice job to tying the Bioshock stories together so it really depends on how much into the Bioshock world you are.

Yeah it's best to wait at this point. Even if Steam doesn't put it on sale, someone will. Usually sales go almost hand and hand these days between Humble, Steam, etc.

I mean unless you really really want to play Bioshock Infinite tonight.

No. It was 1$ on GMG not so long ago, base game only though. It will eventually be on next 2K Humble Bundle.

They REALLY ARE all playing Overwatch in here. Pretty sure his dig was at them for switching to hype games, not at you.
