This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

It was just sort of an impromptu thing Reds and I did and then Weiler's mom let him have some gaming time so he joined in.

You missed fun times, but I won't ruin it by telling you. We have it scheduled officially this week and I suggest all who can to show up and stick with it at least through Princess. You don't want to miss Princess.

So I got my Fallout 4 from Newegg in the mail today.  I was so excited.  I rushed to open it and activated my code on Steam.  Then I started the DL.  I found it odd it didn't ask me which drive I wanted to download it to, but figured it was some sort of Bethesda quirk.  24GB DL so two hours to wait.  I've been sitting here patiently waiting for an hour.  Checked and saw it was halfway through.  Then realized I was DLing it on my laptop like an idiot (integrated graphics) and not on my desktop.  So I had to delete it, turn on my desktop, and start the DL all over again.

We need more Nuuvem deals with no straight-up shenanigans of VPN, no needing non-USA Paypal address, etc.

More USA States-side friendly deals like these, please! :)

Makes me feel better to finally have a great deal I really wanted hit, since the Steam sale was a whole bunch of "meh" for me...

y u no copy wat u had from laptop to desktop somehow?

You could copy FO4 (what you had so fo far) from laptop to external hard drive; then connect external to desktop; copy what you had of FO4 from external to desktop in one of your Steam library folder; and tell steam to install in the drive you copied it to so you can let Steam finish the rest of what you DL'ed?

Of course, if you have a big enough flash-drive - just use that instead of external.

If somebody else is thinking to jump on that Draculazo Pack on Nuuveml then don't forget to use VEMPRANUUVEM10 for an additional 10% off.

Edit2. Nvm, draculazos don't appear to be region locked outside RU. False alarm. If you want it, buy it.

Around $31 USD, according to Google (before any Paypal conversion charges or any other possible nonsense).

Not bad, if you're missing all of that XCOM stuff.

I'll wait - I only need XCOM 2...and I seriously DO NOT give XCOM EU/EW enough time, as it is already - since I really suck at the game. Really like it a lot, though.

Gracias. Was able to get the Castlevania pack and Armello.

Armello is not locked in paypal either and is not region locked.

 
Looks like Nuuvem is giving us the Steam Sale we REALLY was looking for.

Some nice deals here.

Though, would be nice if we were able to tell what was and wasn't region-locked or PayPal-locked here.

 
I played the old NES Castlevanias - i.e. CV 1; CV2: Simon's Quest; and CV 3. Loved 'em all. 

Ain't played any CV's since those, TBH. Can't speak on how the modern ones are.

EDIT:

I still have on retail disc for PC the (NES) Castlevania Collection. I should reinstall that and see if it works on W7.

EDIT 2:

Yup, the old Castlevania/Contra NES Collection works fine on W7; even with XBox controller. :)

So much nostalgia right there.

I know. That's why nuuvem has to fix the bundle. If you add the game individually you will get the region warning, but if you add the bundle you don't get any message which means you might be able to buy it without VPN and nuuvem should provide you a row key when you complain about it.

That's in theory.

Picked up all the castlevania stuff when they did the winter sale at Nuuvem. Pretty sure the only things I want at this point are Paypal locked.

Was it the same price or cheaper then? I saw Armello was cheaper during the winter sale, but Auburn recently told me about it so I was excited to find it discounted even if not 75% off.

Just got my copy too. No real anecdote here but I was able to get the nude mod up and running so I'm feeling pretty good about my life right now. I explained to my wife that irradiated clothing is a real problem in the alternate post-nuclear future and she reminded me that the divorce papers are almost finalized.

Look, stop being lazy and just go to Steamdb. Check the games you are interested in. If there is a package that says SA or Latin American only or whatever then it is likely locked, if not, then it is not. Then if you want to test on Nuuvem, add to cart and try to check out.

It wasn't a pack then so it was more expensive. $11us

Also, to further accelerate my depraved slide down the spiral of shame I have just made my first Nuuvem purchase. Dracula, here I come! I'm thinking I will start by playing Lords of Shadow 2 before the original, kind of like the time I accidentally read the second book of the Wayward Pines trilogy before the first and I didn't realize it until I was 80% through the book. But you know what, it just made the story all much better. 80% better!

Pretty much this, is PP locked but not region locked on activation (source: I own it and I bought it from there a month ago).

Speaking of Fox downloading FO4 twice in one day, Comcast announced data caps for the Chicago area. Fortunately, the cap is 1TB/month with another $10 per 50GB if you go over (up to $200 -- who is using 2TB a month?)

Also,

Comcast has several initiatives in place to bring gigabit internet speeds to Chicago. A new modem is being tested in the market, which allows for 1 gigabit-per-second speeds on the existing Comcast infrastructure. It should be available to Chicago-area customers in the third quarter, Segal said.

I bought Lords of the Fallen GOTY when the sale started. It's NOT locked.

Edit: Well it's PayPal locked, so if you can get a guy to buy it for you you're okay. But it's not activation locked.
