This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Don't talk about Diners Club.

Got my diners club card verified in PP yesterday but something's not right. :(

I've verified the items in my cart aren't locked. Got the same message using Tunnelbear and Hola. My PP should be set up where it needs to be w/ an appropriate address and all, but I don't know what the issue is.

Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

I don't have a good deal of this BundleStars bundle, actually.

EDIT:

I think b/c of my my "here and there" bundle-buying habits, sometimes bundles like these w/ repeats can be hit or miss for me. This one - for me, though - it looks like a "hit."

Has anyone ever had to troubleshoot the Amazon Game and Software downloader?  I remember having issues with it before and now it won't work at all.  Click to DL a game, nothing.  Reinstalled.  Tried turning off AdBlock and Anti-Virus - no go.  Back in my days as a #TonyCrony I used to buy a lot of shitty DRM free games during Amazon sales.  I hope not all is lost.  Even Gamersgate has reliable DLs of my DRM-Free crap.

I don't use that program, TBH. God knows when they last updated that.

I usually go to Game Library, download the game-file's actually "Downloader" file, run that, do the installer file down, and install the game.

Of course, once that's done - I just back-up the game installer files somewhere else (i.e. on an external HDD or on CD/DVD's). That way, never have to deal w/ Amazon's kinda "meh" download speeds again.

Probably worth me asking about Nuuvem, in case anyone here knows.

Say I have multiple games in the cart and it does the "Paypal check" to see if it's okay (or not) w/ my region and what I'm buying and all. Say one game would go through b/c it's NOT Paypal blocked, but another game IS Paypal blocking my region.

So, do they cancel the entire order?

Or do they just toss the Paypal-blocked game right out of the order and let you keep in that order the other game that meets its Paypal approval?

They'll cancel the whole order.

Not really related to what inm8 was saying because presumably he has a "proper" paypal account. Not sure why his thing didn't work.

But, since we're on the Nuuvem topic - I figured that I'd ask.

Also, do you know if that current Nuuvem coupon works on multiple orders? Or is it one-time usage thing?

 
Idk I went thru the Entropay route and made a separate Brazil Paypal and just today I finally got it confirmed, but those damn Entropay Fees  

 
I don't give a shit about CSGO but I will share that I am in full crisis mode now that Steam is requiring me to offer up my SSN if I am to keep selling my cards for pennies. The sad thing is that I will probably do it. Don't tell my wife but I'd probably give them our baby if it came to that. penniespenniespenniespenniespenniespenniespenniespennies!!!!!!!

Remove the Bioshock Infinite Season Pass and give it another try. 2K games hates South America.

I figured it out - two items in my cart (Bioshock Infinite Season Pass, Manhunt) are limited to Brazil only vs the others to South America. I was able to make the purchase after removing those (edit - just saw your post jrodri86 :p). Which makes me wonder why...

...I didn't just make a BZ PP instead of AR. Then I wouldn't have any issue with those two items.

Entropay fee isn't too bad (4.95%) provided what you're buying is significantly cheaper than it's ever been or presumably will be on Steam.

Something else is confusing me, though. My cost for this transaction was 31.21 BRL, which PP charged as €8.96 ($9.95 based on Google conversion). However my Entro card was deducted $10.17, which is about 2.2% above the converted amount. PP receipt doesn't show any fees, so I don't know why the charged amount is a little bigger.

Either way my cherry's popped. Feels good. Sorry for discussing this stuff openly - Motoki is going to have my ass in a sling.

My guess is you got hit with Entropays foreign exchange fee of 2%

Will probably set all this up as we get closer to the end of the year. Still adding plenty of games that don't get played without jumping through that particular hoop at this point.

For some reason most of 2K's games are not up for sale on Steam on most South American countries, Nuuvem ain't the exception. The game themselves are region free but unless you're Brazilian is impossible to buy them.

Edit: The same applies to Rockstar games.

u don't have to. Just change Putingate to Brazilgate.. I've been doing this since last year when some of the games are Russian-locked (but not Brazil-locked) :whistle2:

Yea that makes sense - I hadn't considered it before. Another fee makes the savings a little less sweet but still not bad overall w/ the extra 10% off coupon.

I'm an occasional bundle buyer. If I can get two or three games that I can play for less than a decent hamburger it's a good deal. Also I don't understand this logic. It's like saying: "This is good if you like interracial porn."

What I am saying is that you don't have to solely rely on Nuveem and the Entropay method to get cheap Brazilian price. Just go to Gamersgate and set your VPN to Brazil, instead of Russia. No paypal locked :D/

Gamersgate has a significantly bigger library than Nuveem in both old and new releases. As far as sales is concerned, they don't have July sale currently like Nuveem so you can't compare it like that.. but when they do Winter Sale (real winter, like Christmas), their sales in Russian and Brazilian price are super competitive (but you already knew that right?)

Case in point: Evolve from Nuveem was SA priced and SA locked but Evolve in Brazilgate was SA priced and not locked.  And it has all the season pass + DLCs available for purchased and was on sale last Christmas too, unlike Nuveem

Yeah the difference is that rarely do they have good bundles. For $3.50 I get some pretty good games.

Granted they're old(er) but not too bad. If it was a buck it would be better. I didn't say: "OMG what a bundle?!" I get some pretty good games for a few bucks seems good to me.

Lastly if Groupees had the same bundle I would say the same. They did have that Megaran music bundle I missed though.
 
So, has anyone had issues sending a friend payment with paypal where it says "Sorry, please try again later" with no damn explanation of what is wrong? Was trying to send a payment for a GB and it has been giving me this error for a bit now. Others have paid the guy without an issue. I bought a IG HH with this same PP a few days ago and 2 regular bundles today.....

 
Hey guys. This seemed like the best place to ask for Steam-related help, seeing as how mostly everyone hangs around here. Would any of you be able to explain exactly how Archi's Steam Farm works? I've never tried any other programs but, recently I heard from a friend about Steam card farming. He mentioned this program and I've looked it up but, it's quite confusing to me. Also, is something like this capable for banning your Steam account? Thanks for any help, guys.

I don't believe anyone's mentioned this, but The Real Texas was finally released on Steam. If you bought the game through Indie Royale or Desura, you need to email them to get your key. If you got it through Humble, then you should already have your key.

The thing is, only people who bought the game on GOG or Desura, not in a bundle, will get a DLC that was released along with the game for free. People who bought the game in a bundle do not get the DLC for free.

So uh, yeah. Proceed with your non-discussion of pugilist organizations.

Last time I took an AshotP-sponsored trip to Zika Town, after Nuuvem erected the Great Banana Wall, none of their pricing reflected it and it was just a way to get US pricing with more headaches.  I guess I'll have to look again if that's changed.

Thanks for the heads up. Saw they were on Steam now. Sent them an email. Will see how it goes. Can't access my IR account anymore, but it seems Desura is still fine.

Passed that point long ago, didn't effect anything yet. Of course it was worse as I was flipping items for pennies as well, you've reached bottom if you ever get to that point.
