I finally bit on the skylander starter packs for wii and wiiu. I wanted the 'skymiibo' and figured I might as well let me oldest daughter give the game a whirl.

I decided to pick up might no 9 for wiiu as well.

thinking about street fighter v. I have not bought a fighter in many years, is this one worth it?

Price match Amazon. They have it around $24.

It's pretty much guaranteed that Uncharted 4 will drop lower than this later this year right? Not worth getting it yet if I'm not gonna play it for a long time?
It probably will. Only Nintendo games stay at the same prices for years, because Nintendo are desperate for money at this point lol but Uncharted 4 is worth getting only if you're actually gonna play it, like most games. As a Naughty Dog fan I loved it, it was great but if you don't like the older games (which are also on sale) it's not for you.

I'm considering Far Cry Primal, but I have a feeling it will drop to $20 by BF.
I rented it from Gamefly, playing through it now. I'm 14 hours in and halfway completing it. It feels more like a DLC add on than a full standalone game. It's pretty fun though. Still wouldn't have paid more than $15 for it.

I usually get the Far Cry games around $15 and the same with the Assassin's Creed Games....least 1 of them was fulfilled with this sale.

Yeah, Ubisoft games usually tend to drop pretty quickly, especially on the holidays. I never buy them at launch, which is why I'm not in any rush.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll like it, but for $25 after GCU, I just feel like its too much, especially considering it took me a long time to finally finish FC4. I'm not in any rush to get it so I might just wait.

Does anyone here have the Sony wireless headphones? If so, would you recommend them?
Yes from best buy but you should be price matching them somewhere for around $70 or its not worth it. Also buy the geek squad protection because they break easily even if you take care of them, mine lasted nearly a year.

The gold headsets are great. I highly recommend them, but I wouldn't pay MSRP because I've seen them go on sale a lot.
Sorry, I was actually referring to the Sony Wireless Extra Bass headphones on sale with this ad.

I already have the golds for gaming and I concur they are terrific. Now I just need better headphones for music.

I got the Sony golds with Uncharted Collection for $80 bundle off newegg way back and I can honestly say they were a bargain even without the game. I also have the Silvers when they went for $12.50 with coupon code.   I think these are worth it too considering the sound quality relative to all other headsets in this price range but you have to work for it, stretching the band slowly but surely with ever longer objects to make it comfortable. They're too tight out of the box.

Heard the gold headsets' mic is pretty average but I own the pulse elite headsets and heard they

're much better but worse in terms of comfortability

Went to pick up three copies of Witcher 3 to convert some BB credit to cash at GS, dude looked real nervous and asked the manager if they were allowed to sell more than one of the same game during a sale. Wtf?

Picked up Uncharted 4 and I cannot wait to jump having just beaten parts 1 & 2. I will finish up part 3 within the next couple of days. They did a really good job with the remasters on the Nathan Drake Collection so it is a great value to pick up if you do have it yet.

Ugh, Borderlands the Handsome Jack Collection on PS4 didn't ring up as on sale.  Cashier price-matched the website, forfeiting the GCU discount.  Anyone else have this issue?

Edit:  I'm so glad I didn't see this thread earlier this morning.  Would not have resisted picking up as many Lego Dimensions as my wallet would have let me, while at my local Best Buy.  I so would have bankrupted myself until next paycheck.

No. Because when that happens you tell them to adjust it for GCU.

Not sure if this was mentioned but majority of the Star Trek movies on Blu Ray are $5.99. Never seen any before so can anyone recommend any?

Wrath of Khan, Search for Spock, Voyage Home, and Undiscovered Country are solid.

People seem to like First Contact, but it rehashes Aliens too much for my liking despite great subplots involving James Cromwell and Alfre Woodard's characters.

Star Trek (2009) had a really lousy and highly coincidental scene midway that served as an exposition dump but it was well received outside of hardcore Trek fans who weren't down with JJ Abram's re-imagining of the original crew and him "Star Wars-ing" up the franchise.

I've had this issue before, I just have them match the price in my cart. But then again if I bring up the website on my phone, they use that at my store.

Stores are told not to sell too many of one thing to someone because they might be "dealers." Most stores don't care because it gets them closer to their daily budget. We have a lady who preorders multiple copies of every major new release on every platform. She somehow gets past the 3 game limit for GCU by having multiple accounts and we later found out she owns a game store somewhere.

I mean I told the guy that I would just drive down the street to the other store and pick them up there instead, and that all he was doing was making me waste like 5 minutes walking inside the other one. He just kinda nervously said no and that I could only buy one. Of course then I drove to the other store and picked up two with no issue. Just a stupid way to do business, the game is on sale for a reason and you have like 20 copies sitting in the cage, just get rid of them! Not like I was trying to buy 10...

Granted, this was the store that wouldn't price match L4D2 with Target because it was a "value game" (seriously what the fuck?), when the other store near me PMed it no problem. Must just be a bunch of weirdos at the store I went to.

That happens because of location and/or manager. I have one attached to a major mall that wanted to only give me "poor" quality on a phone trade in that was darn near perfect, has resisted heavily matching their own website (or anywhere else) and in general is just a pain in the ass about anything that doesn't ring up as you expect. If GCU doesn't apply automatically, you sure as hell aren't getting it applied there.

Another stand alone one, four miles up the road gave me full trade value on the same phone, never has an issue price matching anything they are allowed to do and in general is a great deal more pleasant to deal with. I think it is part because their rent is much higher in the mall one so they have their cut-throat managers working there.

Went into the store expecting to get :ps4: Mirror's Edge and :ps4: Minecraft but couldn't resist the lone copy of :ps4: Mighty No. 9. Didn't realize it comes with the DLC so I don't feel as bad about not waiting for $5 like I originally planned.

So I built my own PC last month and got a Dell 2715H monitor for about $300 plus taxes. I'm satisfied with it for the most part, but after seeing the sale on the HP 27 inch, I'm wondering, would it be necessary to have a second monitor, or is it excessive at that size?

I primarily use the PC for Photoshop and stuff, but I have been messing around with PC gaming in the past week.

IMO, a 1080p monitor at 27" is too big. It starts to get pixelated up close since you tend to sit close to monitors. 1440p at that size is great though. Getting 2 monitors is definitely worth it, great for multitasking.

i JUST GOT THE 2 year membership now. Is it possible for me to order the games online now without membership to hold them and then go to best buy store to activate my membership ? Will they give me price adjustment?

I thought the game was pretty good. The prehistoric weapons were a nice change. Pretty cool landscapes. I got it at launch. Put about 25-30 hours into it and felt it was good value.

Picked up Lego Dimensions starter kit for PS4, plus The Simpsons, Portal, Midway, Doctor Who, Ghostbusters, and Scooby Doo packs.

... Then somehow, while inside of the store I ended up with a new Best Buy credit card and 55'' 4k TV. Wut?

which tv? I'm back and forth on getting a 55" 4k tv.

I got 15% off a game card when I bought 2 in store today. Not sure if it is part of this sale or the weekly ad but figured I'd mention it. Apologies if it has been posted.

It will absolutely change your life and the way you work and play on the PC. I think 27" is fine at 1080p personally but my secondary and tertiary monitors are 24" but I already had them when I bought the 27" so I went the other way and added a new primary.
