Just a heads-up/little bit of advance notice to anyone watching this thread, that tomorrow afternoon/evening (somewhere in there. When I have the chance) I'm going to be updating it with a number of Player's Guides - mainly Nintendo Power, with a few others mixed in - from SNES-era through GCN-era.

So, if you like Player's Guides, watch this thread tomorrow!

(Note: The reason I'm not doing it now is since I don't have time to organize everything for the thread, and I'll be busy tomorrow morning/afternoon. It's not like I'm trying to build this up as big and dramatic or anything. Just figured I'd give people a heads-up since I know I'll be doing it tomorrow).

Hey all. I'm sorry that I haven't posted in a while. Just to provide a quick update, my wife is in the middle of filing for a divorce (can't say I'm against it, but she met someone else and wants to go her separate way now). So, for the time being, sales are pretty much on hold indefinitely.

All of the stuff that I had on sale is tucked behind spoiler tags in the 2nd post in this thread. If anyone is interested they can get in touch with me, but no guarantees as to when I'll be able to organize stuff to go out again.

At some point I'll pick back up with selling things - especially as the rental lease on this place ends at the end of February, and so I'm going to have to figure something out so that I'm not homeless come March 1.  But, aside from this update, I probably won't bump this thread again until I have a better picture on things. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Disclaimer: Yes, my wife knows I'm selling this. Obviously I have it for a reason.

Note: My wife says she believes it's a Size 10, but not positive

Disclaimer: Possibly cursed?

The center diamond is .30

The other diamonds along the inner ring are .18

The diamonds on the outer ring are around the same size (~.18), but not positive exactly.

The ring itself is White Gold.

The ring is essentially 2 parts - the middle part, which was originally an engagement ring, and the outer parts that the middle ring sits in between.

The engagement ring part sits in the middle of the two outer sections to form a 3-band look.

The ring is soldered at the back to hold it together.

If you want more pictures, details, etc. let me know.

The ring was purchased from Hannoush Jewelers (engagement ring part in 2005, wedding ring part in 2008).

I have an Appraisal detail page for the middle engagement ring part that Hannoush did in 2005, valuing it at $1750

I can include that form along with the ring if desired.

I believe I paid around $3000 for the full set.

Obviously I'm not anticipating getting anywhere near that back.

I'm open to pretty much any reasonable offers on this.

So, if you're interested, let me know, and we'll try to work something out.

Yeah, the pain of taking a significant loss on something I paid a significant amount of money on a decade-ish ago obviously pales in comparison to the reason for needing to do so... It's ultimately for the best, really, but still a rather painful process.

 
Damn... the title intrigued me. I hope the best comes from this, although I'm sure it's a difficult time.

I like jewelry specifically for the precious metal content and stones. If it were a more standard size 7-8 I might have use for it----I'll ask around though. Hopefully you don't toss it for pennies on the dollar. Good luck!

I mean, there's always the option of melting/resizing it, or using the gold and diamonds for other purposes.

I should note as well (if one couldn't tell from the picture), the center diamond is Marquise cut, with 3 circle-ish diamonds on each side arranged in a triangular pattern. And the outer bands are of course similar circular-ish diamonds, in a row.

But, yeah, I obviously know I'm not going to get anything even remotely resembling what I paid for it.

Just hoping for something that doesn't leave me feeling like I had been robbed.
