It's only really hard if you try to do a run without getting stuff.

I got all the items/upgrades and haven't had a problem beating bosses and stuff.  And I'm playing with a keyboard.

Why did anyone waste time animating that LiS gif?

Walmart was a total bust.  One store supposedly had 4 PoE, the other 3 D:OS and 2 PoE -- combined they had dick-all nothing.

Yeah....Brickseek. It once said my Walmart had zero of some clearance hard drives. They had three.

Thanks for trying tho

Assuming I'm reading this right, it doesn't seem like too much to worry about. You might get a VAC error if you try to play VAC-enabled games with an idler running, but I don't play and idle at the same time. If you do get an error, you make sure your idler is turned off. But they're not tossing out VAC-bans for idling or anything.
What I don't understand is people on SG were saying ASF is affected.. but how? ASF refuses to let you play a game while you're idling anything.

EDIT: Nevermind, looks like Archi posted that ASF isn't affected by this.. so those other people are morans.

So for those waiting on ryzen, keep waiting. Chips are officially out and some reviews

https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2017/03/amd-ryzen-review/

http://www.pcgamer.com/the-amd-ryzen-7-review/

consistently ~10%+ below intel parts for gaming, and thats comparing the 1800, not even the 1700 parts that more closely align with intels 4cores. So for gaming, stick with intel for now.  Maybe when the 1600/1500 parts come out with fewer cores but higher clocks they may match up better, but for the price ryzen makes no sense for gaming at this point. Of course if you're doing mostly other stuff, then ryzen may be a good choice

I haven't read a single review yet, but I'm almost sure Ryzen is a great choice for a lot people to build a new pc. I used to think that to upgrade from an intel i7 to a Ryzen couldn't be worth pricewise. (CPU+ new Motherboard). Of course I exclude rich people and other certain cases like "I need to have the best CPU, GPU always!.."

Maybe a silly question but if I buy the game as a gift stored in my inventory is it still recognized as the "old" version with free DLC when it is actually redeemed to my/someone else's inventory?
Yes.

Yes! We'll be adding Specter of Torment as a version update (much like a bug fix), so there's nothing you need to claim/download/redeem before the update happens.
The Steam discount is gone, but the game is still discounted on GOG (eww) until 11pm UTC (6pm EST) and on Hamble Store until 2:45am EST (for the next 14h38m after this post). Hamble is the best choice since you get Steam+DRM-free versions and can get an extra 10% off if you're a monthly subscriber (or ask someone who is to buy it as a gift for you).

Felt good to bro last night. See you all again in 6 months. Hopefully Weiler will have scored in his game of hoops by then.
dick syntax couldnt even bother to join us so I was relegated to being the worst player all night. At least with him there there might be a discussion on the topic. you suck syntax.

so looks like all those ryzen leaks were indeed bullshit?  reading that its not on par with Intel for gaming.

For gaming, it’s a hard pass. We absolutely do not recommend the 1800X for gaming-focused users or builds, given i5-level performance at two times the price. An R7 1700 might make more sense, and we’ll soon be testing that.

I dont think its that leaks were bullshit, it was the hype train that got out of hand. These do exactly what they proposed, to beat the intel workstation parts at half the price. They do a very adequate job of that. However some people decided that should translate into killer gaming performance. Intels parts dont even do that unless you actually go for the 1000$+ part. Their 6/8core cheaper workstation parts usually fare worse in gaming than the 4cores. So usually gaming focused machines shouldnt have those to begin with either

What will be interesting is when the 1600/1500 series comes out with fewer cores and higher clocks. Those should potentially be better for gaming than the 1800/1700's

Last night the bros played Rocket League! Why? Who knows! Who won? I bet a bro did! Or maybe a bot! Some of those bots are pretty good. Either way, there were winners and there were losers. In the end, friendship was the real winner of the evening. Or maybe the bots.

Tonight we're playing Aliens: Colonial Marines. Once upon a time, Amazon Tony sold us all copies for three soup labels and 45¢ for shipping and handling. The hype on this game was so misleading, it led to lawsuits! Tebow has approximately a hundred thousand hours logged in it! By playing it with us, you can be part of gaming history.

Went to Wal-mart, not the one that said it had those game in stock, just the one where I get my prescriptions filled as I try to stave off death each day.  Nothing of interest on clearance. Warmest deal I found was PvZ GW 2 for $7 but it's $9 on Amazon so not a great deal.

Also, it's Tom Clancy weekend at Gamersgate! Zgold deal is 10% off with orders of $15 or more and 15% off with orders of $49 or more, rendering my $6 useless.  Not sure if cash out or wait for the next pre-order I will buy from GOG.

G2A and tinyBuild butt heads at GDC

As reported by Polygon, tinyBuild chief Alex Nichiporchik told the audience during the panel that "platforms like Kinguin and G2A" are facilitating fraud by making it easy for anyone to sell stolen game keys.

That's essentially a continuation of allegations he made last year, beginning in June when he claimed that $450,000 of TinyBuild game keys were sold through G2A without any money going to the publisher. And it's a position that Panopticon Laboratories co-founder Matthew Cook, who was also on the panel, agreed with. "From our perspective, all of these schemes only have payouts because there's a market for them," he said.

During the follow-up Q&A session, however, Marius Mirek of G2A came to the microphone to challenge Nichiporchik's statements. "Ladies and gentlemen... I am actually from G2A.com," he said. "I was directly involved with Alex's case and I would like to dispel a few things. First of all, G2A.com does work with developers directly, and any one of you can email me. And let's address your codes, because I was handling your emails. You have provided not a single [game] code [to determine if they were fraudulent.]"

ARK optimization is the worst i have ever seen in this generation. And the developer BS on DLC policy rivaled even Bestheda bullshit.

Who the hell release DLC for a game in early access stage?

Has anyone played and would recommend Age of Decadence? Had my eye on it for awhile and the bundle pack for $12.50 is tempting me even though I know I won't play it anytime soon. Going to be burnt out on rpgs after I finish Siege of Dragonspear.

Bethesda, they just call their early access games "final releases" or something kooky like that.

Last night, Fox, Bah, Georgebot and I played some Aliens: Colonial Marines Co-Op.  No doubt you remember the angst and anger surrounding the release of this game and it would be reasonable to write much of it up to the unrealistic expectations of entitled gamers, raging that their video game has a few bugs.  No, it really is an exceptionally shitty game.  The graphics look low end and cheap lacking resolution, shadows, basic lighting techniques, etc, the models are ridiculous, the plot insipid and this game has the worst explosives I've seen since Dinosaur Hunt.  For a game called "Aliens", we spent 80% of our combat time fighting waves of W-Y employees and 20% fighting actual aliens.  The game play feels cheap with bullet-sponge enemies, the before mentioned lame explosions, flaky mechanics and a 'warp' system that feels like a shortcut to drawing complete level maps.  Every once in a while, the game would throw some bit of scenery at you like the glowing computer table in Operations or finding Newt's doll head and you could still feel the developers saying "Eh? EH?  Remember this?  We cool now?"  No, we are not cool, terrible developers.  When quitting the game, Fox, Georgebot and I all got caught in loops of the game restarting itself from the desktop and had to force-close Steam to allow us to quit out -- an issue which dates back to 2013, according to the forums.

Anyway, we made it six missions in and will finish the final five missions next week.  Also, we were the worst team unit ever, constantly fighting one another to be the one to work the loader or get the pulse rifle, actively blocking one another in the doorways, racing to grab the t-shirt armor before the other guys and mocking one another as we were face-raped by aliens.  #Squadgoals

This is awesome news, but I am a bit disappointed that there is no story mode or create a story mode. :(

Everyone talks about the crazy story/ending of Super Fire Pro.

Hoping for some awesome mods and steam workshop support as well.

I can confirm we finished a little over half of Colonial Marines with plans to finish the rest.  Why?  I can't really say.  We've lasted much less on much better games, but I think the co-op mode and the relatively short chapters/missions had something to do with it.  It was fun in that sort of awful movie way.  At one point, the stage consisted of us quietly walking around a stage avoiding aliens attracted to sound/movement.  Of course, even if you stopped they still ran straight at you like suiciders in Rainbow Six Siege and blew up in your face.  At one point, Bah ran ahead, the game warped us to him, and we were all instantly killed by a swarm of exploding aliens.  The game also played like an SP game even in co-op, meaning that cool flamethrower or smart gun or mech suit was only available to one person and of course Bah ran ahead to claim it each time.  The aliens also had sexual undertones.  One face humped you until a teammate intervened.  Others threw their loads of goo in your face.  It was much like a night with Bah's mom.

See you next week, bros!
