WELCOME TO THE NEW GAMESTOP TRADE-IN THREAD.

The new thread format will be a work in progress but this first post will be the promos that are active and useful information, but also wikified. The second post will currently be frequently asked questions but may move it into the first post. Post three will be historical trade-in values from before the list.

When I tried at 2 stores they kept referencing the "get up to" part as to why the OG PS4 wasn't ringing up at the $200 trade. Still worth a shot tho if you have one to trade, value is down to $120 now :(

pretty damn ballsy with their gamestop wording, it does say "up to" but that is above everything, and does not appear again on the line where the ps4 is listed. i hope someday they get nailed for their deceptive practices.

 
So I scoured the FAQ (and I'm sure this has been asked a bunch so I'm very sorry) but how long will the B2G1 coupon be good for?  Is it 2 weeks like the other coupons seem to be?

I'm only asking because Pro Day lands at the very edge of 2 weeks before a possible stealth bump and I was curious if it was possible to renew and have the coupon be good for both, just in case Pro Day ends up being worthwhile.  Otherwise, I'll save it until the end of the month.

Which requires me to renew... which I don't want to do if it is gonna expire before the Stealth Bump. I apologize if that wasn't clear, but I don't think you can see the PUR B2G1 coupon prior to renewing, right?

Ahhhh, I misunderstood. I renewed a few days ago and my b2g1 coupon has a expiration date of 07/30/2017.

Probably is, I just recognized westcoaststyle as his was the top comment. Luckily it seems he deleted it

I really need to add a PSA about posting on reddit to the FAQ. It shouldn't take that much thought to realize that you shouldn't post about anything remotely involving flipping on the reddit where GameStop employees hangout, and that you shouldn't use the same name there as you use on here. I mean cmon people

Same crap I got and when I called them on it the guys called store mgr and he said same thing "up to"
 
has it always been like this over the past few years? I've only started actively following this thread and flipping for the past 3 months, but feels like each passing day increases the risk of flipping being shut down lol

That one guy with mental problems who was banned from CAG and all GameStops often posted on the GameStop Reddit under a bunch of different accounts. He alerts employees to flipping but luckily they laugh at him and know he's just a weirdo. He's been doing that for at least a couple years iirc. I also have a feeling he has a new account and is posting on here right now but that's besides the point... But other than him, no one else from here that I know of had been posting about flips/returns on the GameStop Reddit up until a few months ago

Damn that was quick. I see they average 1-3 players a day on steam LOL. Also they aren't moving any physical copies either relatively the same numbers from a week after it launched.

If on the app (to show proof to cashier), go to the barcode and you can click on Participating Stores on the bottom left. Gamestop will be listed even though they aren't on the main page yet.

I have been tossing the idea of invite only lately since all the noobs and lurkers are coming out of the woodwork for the Amazon cash. But I haven't thought out rules and such yet. (Eg. 1+ year account and minimum 100 posts) Although I am enforcing new security in the background starting today as I have been noticing suspicious behavior lately.

** Also please do not PM for my source code, I am not giving it out or selling it.

I am up for suggestions.

Holy shit the intelligence of people on this site are at an all time low. Why the fuck do some of you guys feel the need to even post on that GS Reddit? That shit is aids and full of jr detectives who care more about GameStop then themselves.
 
I think invite only is a good idea. It probably helps him with security since someone seems to constantly try to break it.

Idk about a year requirement for access, seems pretty long. I'd honestly be okay with paying $5 and having an account older than like 1-2 months.

I agree that a year might be too long. Some people that regularly post here haven't been here that long. Maybe 6 months and I agree with the $5. Blackbeard does a hell of a lot for us.
