How is Starwars battlefront 'solo'... that is, I don't really plan to ever play online, because I already have an online game of choice. is it fun just doing single player content?

Also.. Risen 3? Any one have feedback?

And finally... why isn't the Metro double pack on sale, dammit. I finally sold my physical during flipageddon and figured i'd pick it up digital, but now it isn't on sale. grrrrr.
For Battlefront, there's practically no solo content. Only a few missions which can easily be done within an hour. It's solely a multiplayer game.

Still, I would suggest picking it up if you enjoy dogfighting and ship combat games. I have it on Xbox and really only play it because of the ship combat being so fun.

I'm actually thinking about picking it up on PS4 as well, just to have the option to play it on both consoles.

Thinking about going for Titanfall 2 at that price. Can the multiplayer be enjoyed with the standard edition or do you need to buy a bunch of DLC or anything like that? Also is there even an active player base?
You don't need anything else. It's a great multiplayer game and should be easy to find matches whenever you want to play.

The campaign is one of the best shooter campaigns in a long time.

Looks like everything in the PlayStation Picks sale gets you double Sony Rewards points:

Also, if you grabbed the Star Wars Battlefront Season Pass for free, make sure to grab the actual add-on packs after that to actually own them.

I agree about the campaign. I really really liked the level designs in particular.
I always hear this about the campaign but I don't see why it's so great. I finished the campaign, and it was like a more bloody version of The Iron Giant. What did you guys like about it so much? I enjoyed the gameplay but my gripes about the story are neverending. First, your playable character comes off as whiny farmboy Skywalker who wants to become a Titan pilot instead of a Jedi. Second, it is really bad engineering design to require pilots to have to exit their Titans to literally recharge batteries. Can you imagine if tank drivers have to exit their vehicles in the middle of a warzone? If this game was mecha done right, shouldn't it be pretty popular in Japan where they worship Gundam and had an actual size statue of one?

For anyone considering Titanfall 2 just get the game, you will not regret it. The SP campaign is really well done, and the multiplayer is also a breath of fresh air. You do feel powerful on a Titan, but can even go one on one against them if you know what you are doing. Nothing more satisfying that taking a Titan with a couple of teammates without using Titans or defending a teammate from another Titan with your own.

The gunplay, level design, and combat design is some of the best around. The story has nothing to do with it.

Just be aware in Titanfall 2....not as many players in multiplayer, and a lot of the ones around are very, very good. I've been playing for a while, and am alright. This is mainly in Titan Brawl and Last Titan Standing.

i platinumed both dq builders & heroes.
Both games felt very high quality & a lot of fun.
They are both different genres & are not that hard. They have a Disney charm to them.
They both look me 50+ hours to beat each base stories. 80 hours each to explore, unlock, & platinum it.
i recommend both.

gal gun is like house of the dead except you are shooting anime girls at school but not to kill them but to give them organisms.

it's fun a few times through to see branching story lines but like all rail shooters get repetitive fast.
at this price i recommend it.

September’s PS+ Games - Ends 10/3/17
Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry
Downwell
Just Cause 3
Level 22
Snakeball
Super Motherload
That’s You! - Ends 10/24
I'm fairly certain these weren't September's games...unless I'm worse off than I thought.

The gameplay looks pretty mediocre even by on-rails standards. I heard Anime Girl Splatoon is at least fun, so I'll probably wait for that instead. It's out in a couple weeks, can't say I see myself paying anywhere near retail for it though.

How are Dragon Quest heroes or Dragon quest builders?

WHAT are they?

Heroes 2 is better than the first IMO.

It's a Dynasty Warriorsish kind of game if you like those, except there's slightly more to it than a typical DW game I guess.
Yeah, the first Dragon Quest Heroes was pretty good to me but I really enjoyed DQH 2. I'd even put it at #2 behind Beath of the Wild on my GOTY list up to this point. The Plat is a long, long grind though.

I really think that if they're going to put a game on sale on PSN, then they should have to also put the DLC on sale. I get that the price on this piece of DLC is meant to be a joke by the developers, but I can't tell you how many times I see a game show up on sale in the store and get all excited that I might be able to get the DLC for it and then...nope!

Shocked that my Knack 2 license wasn’t pulled from that region freebie. Can’t complain.
Same here but just in case I've been frantically trying to beat it the past few days. Damn game seems to just drag on and on. Especially since I'd really just like to hop back into Destiny 2 already! Lol

Just noticed the Dark Souls 3 DLC has no trophies. I think i can wait for a lower price. Now Im wondering about Tales of Bersaria. Any thoughts? Worth $35?
Try the demo to get a semi decent impression is what I would say. Personally, I found the combat system too convoluted. But its still a large improvement over the mess that was zesty at least. You can ride a flying rappig (tales of abyss rabbit pig hybrid animal) among other things on the air board if you get the different skins for it. Which I thought was a nice touch and I am glad to see it back since the last game it was in was eternia back on ps1/psp. I hope they include the air board in all games going forward if they intend on continuing forcing these large field maps.

Well, looks like it's finally time. I'm buying gal gun on my vita.
FYI, I'd DEFINITELY recommend the ps4 version over the vita. The vita version is really poorly optimized with insanely long load times for everything, even just switching menus. Just booting the game to the main menu takes like 2 minutes. Not exaggerating.

I own the vita version (on card...which I paid like $35 for), but I literally rented the ps4 version from gamefly just to finish the game without the annoyances of the vita version (and I just bought the digital ps4 version tonight for replay/other endings).

Where were you earlier? You're not kidding about the load times.

Really wish it was crossbuy. Definitely regretting getting the Vita version.

With the Day 1 digital sale having games with release dates all over the place is there any chance of new titles being added at any point?  I am not completely sold on the second game that I would like to purchase so I have been putting it off.  I am not expecting it to change but I haven't seen any where that this is the final list.

I don't know if this has been posted but Adventures of Mana has a price drop from $14.99 to $9.99 now.  Been on my wish list for a while

There's no chance I'm playing that game on my TV. On my vita? Sure. But not on my TV.
