So I just tried 2 Forzathon challenges, race in Rio at 130 mph and race in Prague with a Benz, and I didn't get the prizes. The Rio challenge disappeared. The Prague challenge is still there but didn't register the race I completed. Anyone else having this problem?

I was able to knock them all out last night. I had one challenge lock up on me but it was waiting for me when I restarted the game.

The only one I was able to get was the Spa Gear which I already had. I wonder if it has to do with FM7 having issues staying on-line. A strange thing I noticed is in the "Driver Gear" section 7 of the gears keep resetting as "New" even though I've looked at them already.

The misses surprised me with a 65” TCL S405 from Target. My research and plans were getting a 55” 6 series but the panel lottery kinda spooked me so the 5 series also became an option. We’re gonna set it up later but this thing is huge. But our usual sitting distance is 6ft to 12ft on our L shape couch, so I guess 65” is good. We’ll see later.

Those who own this model, you guys still enjoying it? She used her Target card so it got discounted a bit. I wish she used my bates cashback but she wanted to surprise me lol. I hope this fit on our TV stand, it measures 45” wide, so I hope the tv legs measures that. I read this is great for gaming, excited to try it.

Thanks, gonna mess with our entertainment center then. The wall has this dip, so I need to research wall mounts now that can stick out. Maybe even find a spare table or plank to extend the stand lol. We’ll see.

Yeah I'm still digging mine. I got the 65 also and about that distance in that kind of room setup. I think my 55" samsung is actually too small for about the same distance I sit from that for 4k. I never had a Roku device before and I love some of the apps on there like Pluto TV and it's 24/7 Mystery Science Theater 3000 and Riff Trax marathons. eyeball test you got about 5 inches from the edge of the tv to where the stand legs protrude. Ha I can tell you it fits perfectly on a 8 compartment turned sideways Ikea bookcase.

Every year I consider taking time off when the new forza launches, but the launches are usually so rocky that I'm usually happy I didn't bother. They do make a good game eventually, but I would never bet against a huge dlc or rewards problem at launch.

Thanks for the input and tip! Only reason I considered a 55” because of our tv stand. Now will look around the house to extend it. Yep the Roku is nice. She was like, “does that mean we don’t have to use Xbox or other players to access Netflix, etc.”, I told her no, so she’s a happy camper too. Gotta use my friends 4K Netflix account now ha. Already have 4K stuff on vudu and on discs. Also wanna see how upscaling will look.

Maybe even a little more excited this time around than I was for 3 because of the One X being a known quantity at this point and the 60 fps.

After posting and getting an answer on the Forza Forums I was able to get it. I didn't think the Benz and Benz AMG were considered two diff manufacturers.

Now just to find out what happened to the Rio challenge prize. Does anyone remember what the prize was so I can check to see if I actually got it?

For upcoming releases next week, anyone play Shalnor Legends: Sacred Lands on Steam and can comment on how it stands as an old-school style Zelda game?  Nothing on Metacritic.  May also bite on FullBlast since the the preorder discount puts it under $5 and it looks decent.

I made that mistake once with the Mercedes, I think in FH3.

The Rio challenge? There were 2 races in that set. Complete a race at Rio and then complete one at Long Beach. The reward for that one is the Spa Day driver suit, which was also a reward during live streams on June 16 and 17.

If you already have a suit, you won't get a second one. Not sure how the game counts it, though. The achievement tracker shows me at 75% of the way towards the 100 driver suit achievement. I have 83 suits in my inventory, but the Forza Rewards stat is complete at 100/100. Wouldn't surprise me if the Rewards count is wrong, and maybe gifts don't count for the achievement / inventory discrepancy. Will see if completing the Forzathon event bumps my achievement progress.

Edit: The game did bump my suit achievement progress to 76%. The Spa Day suit was also marked as new in the inventory. I had gone through earlier and cleared the "new" marks from everything. That menu is bugged, things keep getting marked as new even after I clear it. Not sure if I have to actually equip it in the menu or wear it during a race to permanently clear that new mark whenever I start up the game.

For those of you who are downloading The MCC and are surprised that ODST is included, I probably have bad news for you. I'm not that far along in my download yet to check, but when I went to look at the options I had for downloading, the picture for ODST had a lock over it, every other game did not. I'm assuming they're just letting us download it now, and will prompt us to purchase it when we try to play it for the first time.

I don’t trust the Forza rewards info after getting a real good look at it this week. In FM7, I’ve seen my car count increase correctly, but my GS is still wrong. Meanwhile, FH2: Fast and Furious still isn’t correct despite a couple different days playing the game.

I managed to invert the legs, I don’t think you’re suppose to with this model, but it works with like an inch left on each side. Whew. So far I’m happy with the picture quality, a really good starter 4K set coming from our 11 year old 48” 1080p Samsung. Gonna hook up the Pro when it comes Tuesday and I’ll get an X this season.
 
I'm hoping the announcement was a typo and snake pass was supposed to hit game pass on the 5th instead of it not coming to game pass at all. I've been wanting to play it but wouldn't want go pay more than $10 for it.

The game pass twitter posted a "coming soon" picture that didn't include snake pass but the xbox website had it listed as coming September 1.

Off topic but does anyone have experience with Dolby Atmos? Is it worth the price and is there enough support for it right now or expected to be in the future?

I am going to get a soundbar and was looking at the Sony HT-X9000F.

I have it and use it. It sounds great in the demos they show, but in game I do not even notice it. I wouldnt go out of my way for it.

If you enjoy movies, then it’s absolutely worth it. Games not so much. But when a movie like Blade Runner 2049 has an awesome Atmos soundtrack, it’s amazing.

You can't gift Xbox credit redeemed from Microsoft/Bing rewards correct? I have enough points for $10 to redeem and if they can't be gifted I'll just get an Amazon gift card.

 
I didn’t see too much but I’m hoping there’s more to the mcc update than what I saw so far. It looks to be a downgrade. No voting means they choose your map and game type. Very disappointing.

But if halo 3 is bc, and it being my favorite of the games, I see no reason why I can’t grab that and play like normal, but then I don’t understand the point of mcc.
 
i preordered it and its only downloading 100mb of the game and the game in the store says its 45gb..the game doesnt come out till 9-7 but i preordered it so shouldnt i be able to download the 45gb??
