I could overlook the cutscenes. It’s not like Horizon hasn’t had its share of bad cut scenes from the beginning. They’re very much in the “you read it for the articles?” category.
 
I don't think they ever said AC was being de-annualized. They just needed an extra year on Origins and that alone is probably why the one after Odyssey needs more time as well. Even off years get some kind of release. Next year will probably be a disc with the III, Rogue, and Liberation remasters.

Yeap, that's why Ubisoft has been very adamant in using the term "full-fledged game" when asked if there'll be another AC entry next year.

What I don't like is them charging an extra $10 now for the gold edition because it is in a steelbook, which has been a free preorder bonus for a lot of games. They also now have a higher tier than gold that can only be purchased digitally.
While 3 isn't close to the top as far as AC games go, I was a huge fan of the setting. I may just be biased since I grew up in the area and have been surrounded by colonial history my whole life.

I'm coming at it as someone who probably would never by these remasters otherwise.

I can see liking the setting, I just didn't like Connor, amd felt the pacing for the game was pretty bad in general. A disappointment after the Ezio games for me.
 
Looks like XP in FH4 is now called Influence, which can also be earned through Mixer.  Every 5 minutes for watching, every 2 minutes for streaming.

They're currently streaming the FM4 demo at https://mixer.com/Xbox.  Clicking the ribbon next to "Forza Horizon 4" below the video pops up that I've earned 17,500 so far.  Seems to be 500 every 5 minutes for watching.  Might be counting from prior streams, or there was some sort of first time bonus, because the current stream hasn't been running that long.

 
Got off my lawn with that Mixer stuff Microsoft. I just want to play the game, not start the game, start mixer, play, block trolls, play, block more trolls, ragequit.

There's no way this late in its life the Forza Horizon 2 Club has 1000 active members. Whoever has admin rights in that club should start kicking inactive dudes. Or at least 1 so I can join lol. I'm just starting the game so there's at least 30-40 hours left in my tank.

Not sure if there are really 500+ roads to traverse in the demo or if that's just a count for the main game that wasn't altered.

The out of the car stuff is starting to get on my nerves a little bit. I should clarify you're not walking around or anything but there are "cut-scenes" but it's another Horizon for sure, beautiful and awesome gameplay.

I Wish I hadn't bought some of these on PS4 merely because I have a controller adapter that let's me use PS2 controllers on my XBox One and it feels fitting to play RPG's on my Dragon Quest 7 Slime controller.

I may finally see what all the hubub is about regarding FFVII. Never had a PS1, so I never had the chance to play it. I liked the older ones (SNES?) though I didn't play much of them, but I hated FFX on PS2. I quit about 75% of the way through it, I just couldn't stand it anymore. I've liked what little I've played of FFXV. Who knows if I'll like or hate VII.

 
X, X-2, and XII shall be mine. And maybe VII and IX. And probably the ones I've never heard of.

VII and X are different enough in presentation that even though you didn't care for X (and probably won't like XII either) you may find enjoyment in VII.

I'm hoping for an RE style super bundle, with a similar price error to boot! Still have a number of ways to play FF6 if I choose - original SNES cart, PS1 release, SNES Classic. I think I'll keep my GBA copy sealed.

 
Love FH4 demo - have all of them and am a big fan so no surprises there

Happy about AC3+DLC+Liberation remasters coming.  Will pick up Odyssey for around $30 in the holiday sales  and the season pass for another $30 come late winter like I did with Origins

Having a blast with Far Cry Primal and Halo MCC --- playing those until FH4 drops for real

Xbox One X and a Sony 900e....life is good!

 
i am super stoked about all these Final Fantasy games coming to xboxOne but I already bought all of these on ps3/ps4. lol. Well all of them except Final Fantasy 9, which is tied with Final Fantsy 8 as my favorite Finl Fantasy. I was just witing for a decent sale on ps4 for it. But now that its coming to xbox one maybe Ill wait.............or I could triple dip. Seriously though Final Fantasy 8 needs to be released. how can rerelese ff7, ff9, ff10, and ff12 but not FF8. No love..................

 
Looking forward to & also not looking forward to playing ff7 again. One of my favorite old gen games but its so long and tidious and ive finished it like 5 times.

And I know I tell myself I won't level up to fight the stupid neo bahmanut at the casino.....but I know I will and it will take months of grinding...and I will also breed the golden chocobo......again. Damn it man!

I have all the FF's on PS1 and PS2 with most of them still factory sealed. I bought FF I - IX digital on the PS3 so I wouldn't have to open my physical copies but haven't gotten around to playing them. I will 100% buy these on the X1 when and if all titles come out.

Yeah Far Cry 3 is a great game though. Ass Creed 3 is... for completists only I guess. I finished it on the 360, and sure there were some good parts, like the sea battles,but all of that was much better in later games. Haven’t played Liberation though.

Join TA Outcasts (TA O). It's a secondary TA club (since the primary one there is also full) with about 200+ members but still wide open for the club related achievements. Think SicKo from TA is running it.

Also, just saw a promotion on my dash for FM7 + FH3 (just base games for each) along with 1 year of Game Pass for $99. Pretty sweet deal if you are interested in both but have yet to play them. One way to think about it is $55 worth of value (lowest sale priced for the standard edition of both games) plus FH4 day one ($60), then you get 200 other games for free for a year...

 
Finished Watch Dogs 2 tonight. It was a rough start for me but once I just accepted that Marcus could be a murder and a seemingly fun loving hacker I had a lot more fun.

 
Just checked Microsoft Rewards and saw that we can gift points to family members. It appears that it has to be an Xbox account that has used Microsoft Rewards in the past (haven't used my son's in forever, but there's 17 points waiting to be gifted), and you are limited to 5,000 points a month to gift, but this is finally a work around the direct deposit that has plagued us for so long.
 
Played some multiplayer Forza 7 tonight. Reminded me why I don’t play online a lot. I got dropped into a lobby and immediately had to mute and block some dope on an “effing ethnic slur” tirade.

Reminded me of the eternal truth of Penny Arcade’s Greater Internet Dickwad Theory

The night was redeemed by a simple “good race, bro” after a tight head to head battle on the Nurburgring.

i actually just went back to it this week after playing it near launch and stopping

i think it's pretty boring and will probably stop again, i think i might be the only person that liked the original game more

idk if it still works, but there was a trick where you insert the disc halfway and hold it there for two seconds, then let go and the xbox would pull the disc in and read it. My launch xbox had that years ago and the trick worked every time for me.

I would almost double dip and get it, but I've got it on PS3 (and steam?) and I passed on it for a dollar so many times that $5 is unpalatable. Would have double dipped for a buck last sale had I known.

FYI, it's definitely not coming back as they announced they would not renew the expiring licenses ever.

Sparkle 2 is on sale for $2.xx, down from $8

 
On another note, when I moved from Cali just over four years ago, I had a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge collection of movies... bordering on 2k.  Decided it wasn't worth it to relocate everything, so traded in probably half to FYE (or Tower Records)... took them a week to go through everything... and gave the rest away to friends.  Haven't even dreamed of purchasing a movie since with all of the streaming options.   I purchased my first 4k movie, Infinity War, and watched it on my X.  It looked great, but I wasn't overly impressed like I thought I would be.  It seems the leap from 1080 to 4k isn't as jarring as it was from VHS to DVD or DVD to Blu.  Gaming, on the other hand, is a huge difference.  Anyone else notice this?  Maybe I just need to do a side by side comparison.

 
Tempted to get Portal Knights digital at the current sale price. How important is the gold throne edition DLC? IS it better to try to find a cheap physical gold throne edition or just go digital for the main game?
 
Still haven't been able to get my 10 days of logggingi in to Xbox account to register. I use the Xbox 1 or 360 every day. I have tried the Windows phone app, the Windows 10 app, the website the Xbox 1 app and nothing.
