Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Yeah. It's probably my favorite game of the year so far.
Thanks. Think I am going to grab it. Looks fun and always love an Indy game and also seems a little like the Mummy movies. Know there’s Tomb Raider for the Indy feel but this looks a bit crazier in a good way.

Its exactly that. It reminds me so much of Indy and The Mummy movies. It's really fun playing MP and single player and theres also horde mode which is very fun.

Did anyone play fifa19 demo? Got a random $5 towards buying the fifa game.

Thanks MS.

Edit: As an XBox message...
I have not played a FIFA demo in years since I normally get it day 1, I skipped this year and decided to play the demo for some time until Black friday, I guess luck was on my side since I got the free $5 too, is it going to FIFA? Hell no! LOL, thanks for the heads up!

Has anyone ever heard of Operation Darkness? That price is mighty tempting...
Wow, Operation Darkness! This is a tough, tough strategy-RPG in the vein of XCOM or Valkyria Chronicles. You're soldiers fighting Hitler's army of vampires or werewolves or something. I barely remember the story, but it's pretty crazy. The game has (had?) online co-op too so you can die even faster when your partner doesn't do exactly what you need.

I am tempted by Prey, but then I see that $20 season pass. Still waiting on decent sales on the season pass on Fallout 4 and Gears 4. Lesson learned not to buy base games anymore.
Different Prey.

Edit: Maybe not. I thought you were talking about the recent sale that was linked on storeparser which is for the old Prey but I didn't notice the new one is currently on sale also.

So, I think I was in too much shock over Roman Reigns announcing that he had leukemia that I completely forgot about Date Night.
Did he announce it then get knocked in the back of the head by Syphilis with a steel chair while Mean Gene yelled, "My God! Why? Why? Why?"

Just kidding, that sucks.

I saw that price too, and I sorta remember the demo so I did some research on it. Obviously I'm not going to take an IGN review as gospel but man this was a particularly good/brutal one.

https://www.ign.com/articles/2008/06/23/operation-darkness-review

honestly just sounds like a difficult strategy/tactics game with perma death

Damn. Seems like the price isn't tempting enough.

Stupid Overwatch keeps kicking me from games, now I'm banned for 30 mins.
Man, how's your connection in general? I rarely get kicked from Overwatch, and 90% of the time it's entirely my ISP's fault. I don't play ranked, so I don't know how different penalties are, but I've never been banned for any amount of time.

Thought I would check out Painkiller Hell & Damnation, not available in region. Thought I would check out the DLC as it is only 69 cents, not available in region. I know some games you can't get digital in Australia (for whatever stupid reason) but not able to get the DLC, really weird.

They changed the avatar system, and thus, all the clothing that worked before doesn't now. I'm steamed. I miss my Sega Saturn T-shirt and monocle! Also, my guy doesn't look as much like me as he did. There's an option to make your character fatter, but fatter is now F-A-T-T-E-R, and it's not particularly flattering. I wanted heavy-set, not "grease my limbs to squeeze out the front door" big.

I played it too but haven’t gotten the credit. I have no intention of getting it since they’ve abandoned career mode.

Have you tried the option to use the original avatars?

Normally fine, I think it's if I get connected w east coast ppl or something, no issues in quick play or junkensteind revenge, only seems to happen in ranked. Not as many ppl are playing. Cox has a new gigabit plan, its $180/month for unlimited data, guess I need that.

British werewolves, Van Helsing, the Reanimator, and the Frankenstein monster fight Hitler and his army of the undead. The game is very much like Fire Emblem in that characters get exp only by getting kills (meaning someone could get left behind), you have limited supplies and WILL be scrounging the battlefields, and if someone dies they’re gone for good unless the one person in the entire game is there to revive them. It’s not a looker and the camera can be terrible at times, but there’s a challenge and a ridiculous story to be had.

Weird. I can't say anything about Cox since I haven't used them since '04, so I can't say how they are now, though they were pretty bad back then. I would both hope and assume they've gotten better since then, though I guess your location will matter more than anything.

It seems like the Dead Rising series goes on sale all the time but for some reason Dead Rising 3 never goes on sale (it’s been over a year, I believe). Anyone have any idea why?

I remember enjoying the game, and I'll probably pick it up for $2.50, but scavenging weapons was a huge pain in the ass. I recall having to keep one enemy alive while I rushed everyone up to loot corpses - you don't automatically recover gear at the end of the round (or you recover less, been awhile).

I've been watching Prod_'s recent streams of Dead by Daylight and it looks fun for a couple hours of running in circles, but I wish there was a bundle with all the dlc. I would maybe pay $25 for a complete collection, but I don't think I'd play it more than a few times so there's no way I'm paying $20 +$7 per dlc. There really doesn't seem to be much to the game; survivors start up generators to open escape while the killer two-hits (or one-hit ko's with special) then hooks victim on the same hook copy pasted throughout the levels. It's cool to play as Leatherface or Mike Meyers, but I can see the novelty of that wearing thin real quick.

Probably due to the fact it is/was on Gamepass.

It's definitely not as fun to watch as it is to play. Make no mistake though: the survivors have a clear edge over the killer once you unlock some stuff.

Microsoft published DR3 as an X1 exclusive, Capcom published the others. Since sales are set by publishers, that explains why DR3 isn't on sale alongside them, but as to why it hasn't been on sale in awhile, no idea. DR2 is currently on Game Pass.

Regarding the other titles, this is the first time they've been that low. I'm skeptical the 360 DR1 will ever go BC since Capcom doesn't seem interested in BC for games that have ports, so I may grab it.

Romancing Saga is pretty good. However as it is a SaGa game expect very little information in-game on how things work. Not to mention the game is very open ended and you may seem like you're wandering around aimlessly.

Grabbed L.A. Noire. Thoughts on kerbal and Romancing Saga?
Kerbal confused the living hell out of me on PC. I also can't imagine trying to navigate through the game with a controller.

I also have a very short attention span and from what I hear, the game is great, but with a very, very high learning curve.

Thanks I've never played a Saga game it looks fun but I don't know how I feel about that open ended and not telling you things.

That was one of my concerns is playing it with a controller it looks like such a fun game but the learning curve and controller are my concerns

got another survey for the bing rewards thing

made sure to fill out "fix yo shit" again for all the suggestion boxes since they didn't take my advice last time

threw in a hashtag this time tho trying to catch the millennial eyes that may be scanning those

My Xbox game pass just renewed itself but on Xbox it’s advertising 3 months for $9.99 and it shows I can get that. How would that work since it just renewed?

It's meant to give more replay value, seeing as the main hook of the game is building up your empire through generations (you move onto the next ruler when you character dies or after a set amount of "turns"). Still doesn't change the fact it'll frustrate the hell out of a player when something happens and you have no idea what it was. My favorite example is early on you'll go to a town that has a bunch of pirates. If you enter a certain house you'll run into a group of pirates who take off. Seeing that locks you off from a quest and a character class until later, but it's possible to eavesdrop on them secretly but you really wouldn't know right off the bat.
