Deals like that are typically only offered if you aren't currently subscribed. You can't cancel Game Pass, all you can do is disable it from auto renewing. Until you actually don't have an active subscription, that deal won't be available to you.

Bethesda's fucked up the whole thing with their lack of communication on when it's happening and what they did say was apparently not correct. The XB1 exclusive week seems to just be two days with a four hour session (Tuesday) and a two hour session (Saturday). (Edit: They just announced a third session on Sunday for two hours.) The FAQ said they'd all be 4-8 hour sessions and most people expected daily sessions, not a three day gap of nothing. It's the worst-handled beta I've seen and this game is out in a few weeks.

So I have to wait until this Saturday (and maybe Sunday) to play because I didn't play it yesterday. That's just great...

 
Poor communication aside. If they are true to their word about progress carrying over it will be pretty good compared to most betas that are just demos anyway. The 8 hours a week part sucks though, hopefully I'll actually get to play it.

Completely correct.

On an entirely unrelated note: I am not allowed to talk about my experience - positive or negative - with the 'Stress Test' that happened two Saturday's ago.

...But on a note that is solely related to your post and nothing more, I will say that I deeply regret not putting my Fallout 76 pre-purchase money toward Forza Horizon 4, instead. A very limited availability beta should not have been a pre-order incentive. Period. They got me good there.

I'd prefer progress not carry over and have this beta be available more often for people all over the world to check it out at their leisure.

 
What's the opinions on the FFXV Royal Edition? Considering buying it. It's either that or spend $15 on a month of ESO Plus and $10 on a month of vip in Neverwinter. Nothing else is appealing in the Halloween xbox sale.
 
Slighty off-topic: I have two accounts for myself one my Xbox One, one is my main and one is my alt. I recently changed the GT of my main account to my original CAG username. For about the last week or so whenever I turn on my X1 to play games or just mill around it somehow switches over to my alt account. 

I didn't have this issue before I changed my main account GT a few weeks ago. Is it a known issue or something that anyone here has experienced it? I ended up creating a new account a few years ago because I had forgotten my original GT and login info. The new account became my main and the original account my alt once I found the info again, lol.

 
Random comment, but I'm playing through it and since it's on sale...Hollow Knight is very good if you like Metroidvanias.
 

It's also deceptively huge. I'm over 20 hours in and keep finding new areas to explore.

 
My girlfriend is pretty annoyed with the Fallout 76 Beta times. She's going back to work Friday after having 10 days off, and will end up missing the Saturday Beta completely because she will be working. Which sucks because now I won't be continuing the quests we were working on, I'll probably just go looking for Power Armor, and do an event or two.

 
It probably means an expanding it beyond Play Anywhere. They don't really advertise PC as a big feature for Game Pass currently, it's more like a bonus for select games.

 
I think the gamepass deals are just glitchy.

The one they had a few weeks ago for the 14.99 for 3 months I bought and then after turning off auto renew and signing out and in it was there again.

Now it’s been offering me the 1 month for $5(which i think is supposed to be for current subscribers) but when I got on today I tried it again and the 3/9.99 deal is showing up too
 
Rather than dealing with Fallout 76 and it's beta, I've been trying to start Fallout: New California, which just came out yesterday. It's a huge total conversion for New Vegas that is basically supposed to be a new game. The pain in the ass is I only have a SSD in my laptop, so clearing the 20 or so gigs I need for the game and then downloading and installing the mod is taking a while.

Hoping it gives me my Fallout fix, if I have to pick one game to buy I'm 95% leaning toward Red Dead.

Fallout: Tale of Two Wastelands was one of the most enjoyable times I have had in gaming in the last three years. (It made Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas and turned it into one playthrough, including a kind of narrative cheat to have it make sense. Traveling back and forth between the wastelands was great fun.) New California has been so long in development that some of us wondered if it would actually come out. Glad to hear it made it.

Red Dead reviews hit in exactly nine hours from now. I anxiously await the word. I won't spend much time reading - as I don't want to spoil much - but I want to learn more about the side activities, dynamic world, etc.

Same for me. I bought the three month twice last time.
 
I bought Friday the 13th figured for 6.00 I'd give it a try.

Its crazy. I'm not really sure of what I'm doing but its fun. I haven't been jason yet. Kinda wish they had some training missions.

First match I whacked Jason with a baseball bat then saw a survivor carrying gas. I followed them and jumped in a boat with them and drove off.

Didn't really play RDR on the 360, so not real interested in the new one. Westerns are definitely not an interest of mine, I mean the most I ever watched any was Little House on the Prarie...lol.
 
The new Horizon Story chapters in FH4 are fun. It's Top Gear inspired and features all British cars. I also found it the easiest to 3 star, coming up with 29/30 without much effort (rewinds ect). So now you have a new way to earn those 100 stars and Complete 40 chapters achievements easier.

 
Bestbuy has a free one month game pass with purchase of Spotify gift card. Can buy $10 Spotify gift cards. Only one free Xbox game pass per order (maybe per account but idk). It's part of their My Best Buy early access for a 2 day sale.
 
Does anyone know if I use the 14 day trial game-pass that I wouldn’t be able to purchase the 3 months for $9.99?

I wanted to grab it for halo ODST and Resident Evil but I’ve havent seen any other games I wanted it for yet.

I just started that, played the first 3 chapters. It’s nice having a bit of a Top Gear homage added to the game. All it needs for the Bowler challenge is Hammond yelling “I am a driving god!”

you'll get better the more you play, and there are tons of tip videos on youtube

it's one of the most fun games i've ever played and i've played everything

Just double-checking... they added new stories, in addition to the four sets that were originally in the game?

Yes. They're located in the little town south-east of the main festival site. I think they start to show up after level 50 with the new patch. (Patched my PC version, didn't see if for the X1 yet) So that brings your totals up to 50 chapters and 120 stars. I personally found them the easiest of the bunch, too.

I played about 5 matches so I feel I got my money worth out of it. I had fun with it. Its got quite a bit of cussing and its bloody. Don't play with the kids around.

I enjoyed it and will be playing more. I think its worth the 6.00. I've bought worse games for more then the asking price.

"Broken" is a very generous way to describe the state of the "Badlands/Moon Gate" promotion. I have literally logged in every single day since the promo started on 9/7. And I only have 12 of 15 logins counted on Moon Gate. Not even sure it will register the last 3 that I need before Moon Gate expires on 11/5.

Usually the deals like that don’t show up if you are active, and the trial counts as being on a subscription, so it’s a gamble. Sounds like the deal this time has been glitchy, so it’s up to you whether the extra 14 days is worth possibly missing the discount.
Also, ODST isn’t included in Game Pass. It’s technically an add on/DLC for Master Chief Collection, so just the main game is available on GP and you’d have to spend an extra $5 to play ODST.

Are you logging in Via xbox or mobile or pc? I've been doing all three just to make sure it goes through each day. I currently am at 15/20 days for badlands.

The new Horizon Story chapters in FH4 are fun. It's Top Gear inspired and features all British cars. I also found it the easiest to 3 star, coming up with 29/30 without much effort (rewinds ect). So now you have a new way to earn those 100 stars and Complete 40 chapters achievements easier.

Nice. Still not sure I will be 100% the game but the 100 stars achievements is on my list to still unlock. Was hoping the DLC would add more of these story chapters. Drifting is still going to screw me up I think. I played a bit last night. Saw the update but didn't really read it. Guess it was listed there. Saving up for the Castle. I think I am right around 8 million.

Has anyone played the DLC for Overcooked 2? It's only 5.99 and looks like it adds some new recipes and 3 new worlds. The wife and I cleared out the bonus levels last night so I saw they dropped in some DLC with 500 more gamerscore.

It was worth picking up, especially for the addition of having a 4th star to try to earn for every level. They are super hard to get, but very rewarding

The 4th star comes without the DLC btw :), the new recipes are fun? It looked like it adds smoothies which I think is the first drink, and a water gun to clean the dishes?
