Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

I have all of the Hitman content playable in Hitman 2 Prologue due to the Legacy pack being free a while back.  Don't think I want to download Hitman for 200 points.

Its still a multiplayer shooter on a console, and still not interested.
This part is being glossed over..... its a MULTIPLAYER online only shooter. Dont care what game it is, zero interest.

Day 1 xbox owner, have never played nor owned a Halo game. I have rarely played any shooter on pc, let alone console, since the late 90’s early 2000’s.
When i do (for the 2 hours total) its on pc before i quit and move on. Bought the xim4 to play some one the ps+/gwg shooters i had, destiny is the only one i played for more than a few hours.

Is FF XV Day One edition worth $9.97?

Edit..non digital version

I'd say it's better to get the Royal Edition. It comes with the Royal Expansion AND the full season pass. Its price is regularly around $25 and I would not be surprised if it hit $20 soon. The dlc does not go on sale by itself to often
Just get the Royal Edition, there is a ton of DLC you're already missing and they are spinning Comrades into it's own thing in a few hours

how hard is the game? and how easy are the achievements?
The game has three difficulties, Normal, Hard and Very Hard. It also has Iron mutant mode which is an additional constraint that is equivalent to hardcore in diablo(i think). You have to beat the game on Very Hard + Iron Mutant to get all the achievements. You will need multiple playthroughs to get all the achievements.

I played on normal, which wasn't too hard once you figure out how to pick enemies off while sneaking. I died a few times and mistakenly entered combat at the wrong time, but it was fun to pull off the upset as the underdog in those situations. If I did die, I just reloaded from the last save and tried again.

I've been in the stream for 20 minutes or so. It still says "Stay tuned to find out how to complete this quest" for both items. Is that normal? How long do I have to be in the stream before they can be claimed?
They make them go live whenever they choose. The Embar is now live for a retweet. Just click the retweet link and the quest will complete, and you need to claim it.

i might have to try this game now

If you want to get done with the 10th day of Christmas for the TA challenge really fast and you are willing to drop $5 then Jack N' Jill DX is a supper quick completion with 11 platformer achievements. I finished it in about 15 min. I am not a huge platformer fan so this was worth the bing cash.

Game Pass has been amazing this month, Ashen by itself is worth the price of a few months. I'll give Mutant Zero a go sometime but got Below hitting in a few days.

I'm actually gonna boot up Ashen for the first time in a few minutes. I've been hearing good things. I tried Strange Brigade yesterday and felt it was meh, movement is a little clunky, which annoys me. I'll still give it another go with a friend. I'm also looking forward to trying out Below in a couple of days. And really, getting both Ori's and Hellblade in a few days too is awesome.

I dont know if I'll try Mutant Year Zero... Is it totally like Xcom or is it an RPG with turn based combat like, say, Shadowrun (not the fps mp one)?

They wanted to make sure you heard they bought the xim4 but zero interest in shooters, ok?!
Nice bad reading comprehension there. Again, missed the MULTIPLAYER part.

Bought the xim4 so I could play with friends that only play on console, and refuse to have a PC that can.

3 things you can't say here without getting talked down to.

1. PS side: I didn't enjoy the last of us

2. Xbox side: I don't own Halo

3. General: I prefer shooters on PC (or opening my safe instead)

1. TLoU is shit.
2. Everything on xbox is Halo. Did you know they wanted to originally call XBox as Halo box?
(Untrue and made up trivia)
3. What's a PC?

It’s probably not even worth downloading the games for only 200 points so I’ll probably just do the ones I already have.

One thing about these punch cards is they got me paranoid to finish games cause I’ll have no easy achievements left to use.

Watch I’ll finish Below and next month it will be a punch card

Thanks, just picked it up. BUT... challenge 11 is 11 achievements in ID@Xbox games, so I wonder if I should use it for that instead...

ETA: Ah, Gardens Between and Unmechanical are both ID@Xbox, I'll finish those up for day 11.

The list for Below is really kind of uninspired, that doesn't mean bad game by any means but it's 10 achievements 100 points a piece

I hate games with achievements that don't end in 5 or 0. My sister-in-law flew in, and I started up Overcooked for something fun we could all play. It screwed up my number with its stupid 1 point achievement (I forgot to check its list in advance), so I bought Threes just so I could fix it quickly. I don't have the time or patience to 3 star every kitchen to even it out that way. OCD kind of sucks.

Be careful with Ashen, then...

There are 20 achievements worth 17G each

I voted in the TA game of the year last night.

Found out I’ve only started two games that came out in 2018, Forza Horizon 4 and Mega Man X Legacy Collection

I have a hard time believing anyone at this point that says they've been with Xbox since day one and has NEVER played Halo in 17 years. That person simply does not exist. I get Xbox One owners not playing the new stuff, but that's only because of the overall botch job 343 has done since they took over, and the fall from popularity the series had. But you owned an OG or 360 there is no way to have completely avoided every single game. I don't think it's the same as having avoided Call of Duty, Fortnite, or something else popular, for the first 6 to 10 years of Xbox, Halo was simply part of the DNA of the platform. At the very least everyone saw a dirt cheap copy of one of the games or tried Halo 3 when it was GWG.

As for the other stuff, it's fine to not like a specific game like TLoU, (who gives a shit what you like on the internet right?), but when it's a game that is so well regarded I think it's also fair to expect some people to disagree.

Same goes for preferring PC. As long as you aren't trashing console players no one cares. Go to the Steam thread or some PC master race circlejerk subreddit or something if use console players somehow not preferring mouse and keyboard is an issue for you. You're probably getting shit here primarily because XiM4 in competitive shooters is considered cheating on console to a lot of people, as well as Microsoft themselves. There is a reason some games like Overwatch are actually balanced differently between console and PC.

I dont care about the value of the achievements I get. I like achievements and I like getting them, rarely pay attention to the overall score though. It's fun to just get who care what it amounts to. Not like I'm getting paid for it.

I had that problem from Mad Max, then I fixed it with Overcooked but I ruined it again with Moonlighter.

I currently have fixed it again by unlocking a few more achievements in Moonlighter but to really fix the problem I have to go back and play Mad Max again. It bothered me for a long while but I got over it. I like playing games more now than I care about my achievement score ending number.

100% wrong.

RPG’s, racing, platformers, MMORPG’s. Thats all i really ever play. Like i said if i wanted to shoot something, i open my safe.
Havent played a sports game in probably 10 years either..

I love how people say others dont exist cause YOU cant think someone could possibly think differntly than you.

you kinda played that card when you said controllers SUCK for first person shooters. that's just your opinion and only in comparison to keyboard/mouse. it's really not bad at all and that's why very few people complain about it.

Very few.... explain why all the keyboard/mouse devices that work with consoles over the years. Even controllers that are designed like mice and half controllers... theres a market for a reason.

And im not trashing anyone for saying they have no problem with controllers. My *opinion* is being called BS and am being told im lieing about not owning halo.

Ill wait for the apology, wont happen.
And just fyi, i bought the 360 but I was a diehard PS3 and PC gamer near the end of the OG Xboxs life. Bought and rarely played the 360, then got an xbox one 3 years ago. As you can see my gamerscore on xbox is low. Cause i didnt play anything on xbox. Owned yes, rarely played cause i liked playstation and pc MMO’s instead.

Point to the halo achievements i have... or my time on record with them.

RPG’s, racing, platformers, MMORPG’s. Thats all i really ever play. Like i said if i wanted to shoot something, i open my safe.
Havent played a sports game in probably 10 years either..

I love how people say others dont exist cause YOU cant think someone could possibly think differntly than you.
you like racing games, couldn't you just drive a car?

you like platformers, couldn't you just jump on a rock or something?

I remember playing Halo for the first time in 2002 and it was the first time I ever enjoyed a FPS.  Still, I wasn't motivated to play the sequels.

Fifteen years later I played Halo 5 for a few minutes and didn't have much fun with it at all.  I have no idea why but I've never been much of a FPS fan (or multiplayer fan).  Halo 5 is $7.99 again at GS and I'm tempted to pick it back up and give it another try, even though it doesn't offer a lot for the single player.

My favorite FPS was Unreal Tournament III.  Something about that game was just...perfect.  I'm a big 3rd person action/adventure fan, but that game had me hooked.  Had lots of single player options, vehicles, bots, hover board.  Just the perfect FPS IMO.  Wish someone would make Unreal Tournament 4.

Could also be that specific game. I enjoyed Halo 3 and ODST. Played Reach and Halo 4. Hated Halo 5 from the start. I forced myself through the first mission and didn't even bother to finish the second mission. Partway through that level, I had enough and called it quits. Lol.
