Some notes
  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

Same here. And getting the entirety of LiS 2(eventually) is most excellent. Not only do I need to play Before the Storm, but that one game which leads up to the sequel. Captain Spirit I believe?.....will check out the other game pass titles when I have a moment. Finally get to play a Farming Simulator game!!! So woot? lol
I’m in the same boat so I’m pumped. Loved LIS 1, bought BTS but haven’t played yet, and downloaded the Capt Spirit thing but also haven’t gotten there. Maybe by the time I get through those 2 we will be able to play all of LIS2 at once.
Also happy new year everyone!
Also also GGP best wishes on a speedy recovery for your gf.

LiS2 is a debut on Gamepass? Nice get. Definitely not for me, but good to see another pretty popular game debut as it surely helps the program.

RIP Mean Gene Okerlund.

Wow, I thought the DE included all 26 characters. So are there 28 to 32 characters in this game? So even if I buy the DE there are other characters that still cost $5 each. The DE should've included everything.
Just to clarify this and put it to bed, since a few different people have given various partial-truths (to no fault of their own, KI development and promotions have been all over the place in the past years):

When KI DE launched, Shin Hisako, Kilgore, and Eagle weren't released yet.

Eagle was made free immediately on release for DE owners. Kilgore and SH were made free for DE owners later on, when the Steam version released.

As of right now, all 3 of those characters are included in KI DE.

The DE has all characters.

IIRC the only stuff not included in the DE is a few alternate colors (because some of the colors were tied to promotions from buying a statue).

Took another look at the sale and bought Lego Batman 3 deluxe and Lego city so now I should be done.
Lego Batman 3 is my favorite of the Lego games. Good job getting the deluxe edition because the dlc is great. I’m waiting for the new Villians game to go down more.

Life is Strange 2: Part 1 (January 3) "Experience this first episode with Xbox Game Pass, plus look out for episodes 2-5 coming to Xbox Game Pass soon."

Ark: Survival Evolved (January 3)

Farming Simulator 17 (January 3)

Absolver (January 7)

Just Cause 3 (January 10)

Aftercharge (January 10)
Absolver is supposed to be pretty cool. I'll probably try out Ark a bit.

Speculation here but I wonder if the company that makes Ark is in trouble. That whole Atlas fiasco was pretty bad. The game was announced only a month before release and they still managed to not be able to stick to the launch date they set, and still managing to have about as public of shitshow as possible by continuously pushing it back after setting specific time after specific time. Then people find the Ark menu in game very clearly showing it was originally intended to be a DLC for Ark. The Ark DLC thing is a big red flag because most of the people that play Ark already bought an Expansion Pass that means they never have to pay for future Expansions. Now they put their big cash cow onto GamePass, weeks after it is delivered in a laughable state to the Switch for the first time?

Always welcome another BC title but as far as racers, sure would have loved to see Blur over this.
Blur is delisted - probably due to licensed music or cars? Seems unlikely it will be added (it doesn't have the prestige of Forza Horizon).

FWIW, I've been having the "games disappear, but the space is still shown as taken up" issue on and off for months.  It started after a console update, and every time I think the issue is gone it'll happen again.  I have never owned FO76, and the issue started before FO76 was even released.

It does seem, however, that only games I haven't played since the problematic update are effected.  Any game that I have played since the problem started now stays present when the others disappear.

So... have you tried to install it again and see what happens?
Negative.

I was eh about it and if it is causing issues with my external HD, I have no desire to keep playing with fire.

Actually....I might reinstall it tonight to see; yeah, I will.
Update tonight after 10pm CST.

Thanks to whoever said that you can use Xbox credit on backwards compatible 360 games only if you connect a 360. I connected my (supposedly free after rebate) 360 last night and tried to buy a game but the system stopped me because I don't have enough HDD space for the game. Is it possible to buy a game and skip this HDD space check? I don't intend to play it on the 360.

I ended up hooking up a loose external hard drive I have, but I don't want to this each time.

You can stop the game from downloading after you buy it. You just have to quit the download after it starts. This works with purchased 360 games and Games With Gold 360 games.

Thanks but it won't even let me checkout. It says insufficient space unless I add an external drive with enough space.

Hmmm. Maybe delete another game that's large enough to allow for the amount of space that the new game requires? Once you buy the one you want, redownload the old one that you deleted. Just a thought.

In response to the issue with the games showing on the uninstalled list for xbox yet still being on the hard drive.  For me these are games from games with gold, ea access, and game pass that I had previously bought before showing up on any the three services for free or part of the monthly access charge.  If i do a restart they will go the installed list.

I think the problem is that they probably sent him the white launch 360 that only has 4GB storage total, and the OS takes up about half of that, and then most 360 games are over 4GB anyway.

You just gotta keep doing what you're doing with it, Renzler. You'd probably want a dedicated drive for it anyway, unless your intention on buying the 360 was to flip it and keep the rebate.

I remember having that problem trying to buy something on sale once. The 360 now allows all USB storage of any size, so if you have an old thumb drive (8GB or higher) just plug it in and it'll format it for the 360. Should work after that.

If you don't find another workaround, it may be worth it to dedicate a flash drive to the 360 so that it thinks it has enough space. You probably don't need much more than 16GB, since 360 install sizes were much smaller.

Thank you all: josekortez, Blade, gamegirlpocket, Touch3.

I'll use a flash USB drive to do this as the 4gb internal won't cut it. I got the 360 to play non-BC used disc games from Gamestop, but this use became a good way to use discount MS credit on BC digital games.

dissapointing month for gamepass i thought they told us it was gonna be good....these titles dont look that good..huge dissapointment

Thanks for the clarification on KI. Maybe I’ll pick up the DE for $10 myself now knowing it does have everything. Hopefully they get their marketing strategies right the next time.

I've been struggling with 4gb xbox 360 for like 8 years haha. Handy-dandy USB!

I mean it’s got two games debuting on GamePass. To me that’s a good thing. I like when completely new games that aren’t already in our backlogs get added... to our backlogs. :)

that will probaly be the only games i might try out is the brand new ones

I would really love to see the original xbox Rallisport Challenge games go BC. The 4-player split screen was awesome.

https://youtu.be/FPbd5yAzHXw

Can you really call Game Pass stuff you aren't touching a backlog when most of it could be removed at some point? ;)

Quick reminder for everyone who doesn't have a plan to limit game buying for the year to pick up Mafia 3 for $10 and Steep for $9. Two incredible games at insanely cheap prices.

As has been pointed out, happened once with Sony.... and happened on much bigger sites with much larger breaches.... but Sony gets constantly harassed over it. Facebook/Google sells everything they have on you, (Sharing for free in some cases) they get a pass.

https://www.csoonline.com/article/2130877/data-breach/the-biggest-data-breaches-of-the-21st-century.html

Sony is the 12th largest breach, yet #1 in blame.
On that list I have complained about several of those companies elsewhere. On forums not video game specific and in real life.

I wasn't happy I had to get new ATM/debt cards for Chase. Luckily I didn't lose any money or anything. I barely used my debt card anyway. Stopped using it completely other then at the ATM to minimize risk.

I used to joke about Target and their stupidity (having their HVAC system on the same network as credit card processors. I would use their card anywhere remotely sketchy. Figured they didn't give a crap why should I? We did stop shopping there for a while but have returned.

My wife had her medical information potentially leaked by a health insurance provider not on that list. She got a couple years free credit monitoring out of it.

Also bitched about Adobe at work as well.

And yahoo is a fing joke.

I don't think ANY of these companies went off line for weeks.

Neither Sony or MS has my credit card info. MS did for a short period of time 4 years ago. Sony hasn't since that hack.

GF is very sick with pneumonia (almost had to be hospitalized) and sadly, I haven't had time to play Celeste after waiting so long despite having 4 days off work. Instead, we have been marathoning more Marvel movies, finally showed her Infinity War last night. As soon as it ended:

"What! What was that?!

Is there some dust purgatory? Are they all dead??

What!!

They can't all be dead. Aren't they making another Spider-Man movie??"
Hope she is feeling better soon.

I would prefer Steep on XB1 but as a PS4 owner I am in the position of not wanting to waste money even if it is only $9.

And can someone remind me if any games have been given away on both GWG and PS+? I have gotten them all on both systems but am on vacation and can't really check. I feel like that really doesn't ever happen because publishers don't want to give away their games to literally everyone.

Just Cause 3 was on PS+ a few months ago.  I ended up buying the deluxe edition on XBox though so I could play it on my X (didn't have a Pro at the time).  It is now on Game Pass (tomorrow I think).

Off hand I don't recall any that were PS+ and GWG.  But for 3 years or so I didn't have GWG so might have missed a few.

Valiant hearts, never alone, the swapper?, guacamelee, race the sun, metal gear ground zeroes, metal gear v, Styx, Lara Croft and temple of Osiris, stealth inc2?, grow home, super time force, super meat boy?, gone home?, lords of the fallen, worms battleground, Rayman legends?

I would need both lists to know for sure, I might have bought some of these, this is just off hand.

Here’s my final haul from the Countdown Sale:

Dead Cells
Madden 19
Assassins Creed Odyssey Gold Edition
NBA Live 19
Divinity: Original Sin 2 - Definitive Edition

I have just over $10 in space bucks left that I’m going to save to see in The Surge goes on sale next week (based on the countdown). I think this should have me set for just about all of 2019 (which, of course, won’t stop me from buying more during the Summer Sale)...

Off the top of my head, I know that Race the Sun was a giveaway on both because I remember playing it a while back on PS3 and then we got it on XB1 not too long ago. Without more research and/or comparing lists, nothing else jumps to mind.
