Best Buy Black Friday Deals Available Now - Ends Sunday

You have to subscribe to get them. I started noticing them several weeks back so I'm on the lookout now to see if the email title says something like "Plus you have a 5 dollar certificate on us". The one I just got was from "Best Buy Black Friday" email. There will be a small banner on the email as an image and when you click on it, the link generates the rewards.

 
Damn people getting rewards left and right and I just keep getting the same looking Black Friday ads with just different products on the banners.

 
I know that Marvel's Avengers has been getting a lot of hate on the board, but...for discussion's sake is Spider-Man a big enough pull to justify getting a PS4/PS5 version of the title or getting it for Xbox to play some of the multiplayer with a friend?  Any thoughts?

 
I unsubscribed to their marketing e-mails because I was sick of the daily spam so I guess that's why I never get their $5 random certificates anymore. Oh well.

yes. I purchased the digital delivery one and it worked for me. i forgot i cancelled auto renew so I got offered an extra month free if I turned it back on so i did.

I'll turn it off again tomorrow and hope for another offer next time.

multiplayer with a friend >>> a still unreleased character that has a vague release of 2021.

I enjoyed the heck out of the campaign and leveled everyone up to lvl 50 but realistically you will be bored of the game and it will be back on your shelf collecting dust before Spider-man actually comes out.

I gave it a shot. No PSN cards would work, but a 1 year PS Plus membership would take it off. I guess these memberships count as a product while the straight value cards don't.

You're going to have to go to the store to see if they have that edition in stock. When I went to my nearest store earlier this week, none of the PS4s were steelbook but there was one XB1 steelbook left.

BB is limiting both Nintendo e-shop and Xbox gift cards to one per guest per denomination. You can actually order 2 of each, though. Just order one digital and one physical with in-store pick up.
 
I’m seeing 73 points pending for my watch dogs legion $30 pre order. Is that supposed to change later on? Thought the 10 cart is 500 points
 
Ugh best buy derped up my order which finally arrived today. Instead of Nier Automata game of the yorha edition they sent me the outer worlds.  Now I have to figure out how they are gonna exchange these for the correct game which I imagine is out of stock. Yep checked the website and it's out of stock. Wonderful.  Maybe if I am lucky they will return the cost of the outer worlds onto my card over nier since they are 19.99 vs 13 for nier. As at least that would somewhat make up for the inconvenience.

I’m seeing the same in my account, either they will issue them in a few days or they might just try to back out of giving the $10
 
Looks like Best Buy's email system is overloaded right now. Ordered a $99 eShop credit earlier this morning and it arrived in minutes, but the $20 I went back and ordered over an hour ago hasn't arrived yet, nor the order confirmation, even though the order history on the site says it's been sent.

Someone said earlier this morning it was limited to one. I tried ordering two also. My second one came right away. I waited about 3 hours for the first one and it never came. I just cancelled it and ordered one through Amazon.

One per denomination. And like I said, the order status says it's already been emailed, it just hasn't arrived yet.

That still doesn't exactly induce confidence, though.

 
YMMV, but got yet another $10 in bonus certs from a mailout.

Message is titled “Guess what? Cyber Monday Deals are here.” and just like the last one, got the bonus on an old account rather than the active one.

I have an email with that same title, and there is no bonus anywhere in it.
 
I don’t remember unsubscribing to Best Buy’s emails, but other than order confirmations and the like, I haven’t gotten anything from them in over two years, not even ads.

IMHO, consider yourself lucky. I like Best Buy, but it sends out way too many pointless emails.

Got the $10 cert email too. So far I got $10 $5 and now another $10 from BestBuy. I haven’t shopped at BestBuy all year, so these free certs does encourage me to buy stuff there now. Now what to get...

Gotta run two accounts. One for shopping. One for coupons. All retail use a tier system based off of what you buy. Spend a lot, you are in the 1st tier. You get hardly anything. The third tier are the group that gets all the mailers. They look at it as enticing you to buy. The 1st tier is always shopping.

That’d be great, but the ones I’ve been getting are set to expire pretty much as the new ones are issued, so you have to go buying something in the short term with only the $5-10 or you lose it. Also your items have to cost more than how much you’re given (can’t buy $9.99 of stuff with a $10 bonus), so you end up throwing in something else (read: $0.99 Fifa point packs) to actually get to check out.

As the post above says, they’re trying to pull you out of the lower tier that never buys anything.

So is this it for Best Buy's Cyber Monday sale?  Seems to be mostly the same BF sale items plus a couple new sale items.  Guess that is probably what they used to do every year but I always got more excited for Cyber Monday because my GCU discount would work again after they turned it off for BF week.  This year, no more GCU for me so I just bought everything I was remotely interested in last week.  Thus this Cyber Monday sale seeming rather lackluster to me so far.

For whatever reason my GCU applied to everything over BF. Hasn’t in the past.

I called and was able to get Assassin Creed Valhalla $10 reward added to my account. Rep said there was an late error sku addition for the PS5 versions of Call of Duty and that would be added shortly for all members who are in the same situation.

I did ask why my Watch Dogs PS5 $10 rewards doesn't show and he said it will pop up after the allotted time has passed. I'll keep an eye out on that one.

Never had an issue with XBOX One or PS4 games and $10 rewards so far just PS5 games.

 
Man Best Buy is getting bad about getting stuff out to me on time. I had two games pre-ordered that were supposed to be delivered to me on Tuesday. They shipped on Monday and yet neither of them have been handed to the UPS and it is now Thursday. Starting to wonder if I need to call them.

At least ypu don't have $40+ dollars still not refunded after almost two weeks on a cancelled order. WTF is going on over there. Order cancelled right after I placed it (forgot to add an item), and shows cancelled, but these clowns charged my card and still haven't refunded. Seriously, WTF. I mean, this is pretty bad.

I’ve had the same issue with Best Buy. I returned an item via mail and it took like 30 days to get my refund.

Amazon? They post that shit as soon as your package gets logged in the UPS system. This is why BB is inferior from a CS standpoint.
 
You think that's bad? I couldn't even use their app on Android anymore because it would crash every, single, time I tried to log into it--FOR OVER A YEAR. Their rating on the Play store nose-dived with complaints of the same issue and I eventually just uninstalled it. To my knowledge it was never fixed. Works fine on iOS though, so the problem wasn't me.

 
My god I now have four games that were supposed to be delivered this week from Best Buy and they all just say label created on them. Two were supposed to be delivered Tuesday. The other two tomorrow. None of them will end up being here this week because for some reason Best Buy isn't handing them off to UPS. Wtf is going on.

 
I won't lie and say I read the details but I read part of an article saying that mail carriers are prioritizing packages already in circulation and not picking up new packages from retailers due to how much online shopping occurred in the last week.  I'm pretty sure the problems you are all experiencing (myself as well, I have a 4 game package that still hasn't been picked up at BB) is because the shipping companies are slammed, not a BB thing. Not here to make excuses or stick up for anything, just letting y'all know what I read.
