Please delete if this is irrelevant but I was at GameStop today picking up my Pokemon Switch Lite and learned a $15 Power Up membership now comes with a monthly 5 dollar cert that works on anything in the store. The cert expires monthly and while the manager in the store said it was live ( I got a 5 dollar cert for signing up immediately) I saw on the site it doesn't start until Jan 2020. $60 for $15 seems like a desent deal though with just a few limitations. Here's the details for those interested.

Hi how long is that $5 good for? Thanks
The coupon only lasts for the month and I think it is based on the calender month. I reactivated my powerup rewards last week and it would have expired today. I will have more time to use the next one. I used my coupon to buy the Zelda BOTW expansion with no issues so at the very least I'll use the coupon on digital cards.

Went to use my $5 on a $10 eShop card. Renewed my Game Informer magazine for $20. It gave me another $5 in credit. Employee gave me the $10 eShop card for free from both credits. Pleased.

I renewed last weekend and have not received the $5 coupon for signing up or the one for the month of February. He said there was a problem with the one printing on the receipt and I’d receive it in an email within 48 hrs but there’s been nothing in my active offers.

I never got mine either and I signed up Monday.

You enter it in the promo code box, which is right above your order summary.

FYI, the online only $5 cert can't be used on digital goods. RIP
Sucks usually I go in store and grab 10 physical card, wont work on digital online, struggling to find something to get with it.

I can't make it work on anything. Not digital stuff. A POP figure, anything. Code just don't seem to do anything. I'm putting it in promo code box.

Edit: It seems to work on things that are not discounted already...?

Can someone explain how online pickup works? It seems like any game I pick, when it shows available at the store for pickup, it doesn't show it on the game page... so in other words, i can't store pickup anyting. HELP

thanks in advance

Try to put it in the cart for shipping then in the cart see if you can't change it to pickup at your store. If not try using the app as the site seems to glitch a lot and you can't place orders for some reason.

How do I use the $5 PUR monthly certificate?
It does not seem to be working for me; not applicable to new games, pre-owned games, collectibles, nothing.

I applied the certificate code on to the Promo Code and keeps on getting "Coupon cannot be added to your cart" message.

Does anyone has this issue?

Thank you in advance.

If you were trying to combine it with B2G1, then it won't apply.

I just gave up on my $5 this month. My stores are closed, shipping would kill the savings and there's nothing I want that would reach the $35 free shipping.

Well it looks like this will be the 2nd time in row that I won't use my $5 monthly coupon thanks to it not applying to anything I want.

The new online only coupons redeemable with points say $5/$10/etc off one item and free value shipping. Does this mean no minimum of $35 when using the coupon? Their wording is suggestive at best.

I’m kind of new with this too, but from my experience it’s much worse. You can only use an online coupon points redemption if the item is expensive enough to qualify for $35+ free shipping. If the discount takes you below $35 you can still use it but your paying for shipping. In my experience, a full price in stock item that is 35+ is the only time I’ve been able to redeem an online points cert.

Do the redeemable ones from the rewards points not work on digital currency (Like PSN/E-Shop credit) anymore? I noticed the monthly PUR doesnt have any restriction mentioning gift cards but those do.

If thats the case, pretty sure I'm just gonna let my PUR lapse as it just seems like Gamestop is going down the shitter rapidly lately.

That' absurd. Just like the $5 monthly coupons that sound good on paper until you realize they basically don't apply to anything except for full priced crap. Then again, I listened to the Camelot conference call video he snuck onto and the people in charge really do sound like a bunch of clueless boomers.
Well, if you remember to go once everymonth you turn $15 inot $60 xbl credit, whihc isn;t bad

Probably old news, but it stacks with reward coupons too with no problem. I got Paper Mario Origami King and used both my $5 monthly Pro coupon and a $5 off coupon from PowerUp Rewards. Plus I got 30% bonus on my trades (10% for Pro, and 20% for trading towards Paper Mario specifically). Was really happy all the deals stacked.

This is the first time in years I've subscribed to GameStop's thingy (was on Best Buy Gamer Club for quite a while prior) and I've been pretty happy so far, definitely gotten way more than $15 value out of it.

i recommend only using certs and coupons on digital currency.

if you use them on a physical item, then make sure that you will not return the item for any reason because you will lose the certs and only get the difference back.

Unless... you use certs on a new release that is G2L and can return it for $59.99 TIV! Personally, I use the monthly certs for the kids to pick something out from the clearance bin as a reward for chores. Teach them to wait until something is on sale!

i was somehow banned from trading for the past year so it is a no go for me. Last I check I am still trade limited.

Do GS rewards coupons stack with things like B1G1 free sales, CAG16, and things like that?
I was able to stack a monthly $5 coupon and CAG16 with pre-owned Star Wars Squadrons on sale for BF, took it down to under $10 total. I think that many things stacking is very YMMV though, sometimes they turn off certain promotions, sometimes something slips through.

I've never had an issue stacking it with stuff.  However, I renewed recently and my coupon wasn't in my account.  I specifically had to reference an e-mail they sent me to show them the barcode/use the code on the website.  I guess they're hoping people forget about it instead of the rep getting a prompt for it at point of sale.

I walked into the store today, and I said that the only thing that I was going to do was to use my $5 coupon on a $5 Xbox code.  I did not need to or want to buy anything else or to renew my Pro membership that needs to be renewed on 1/1/2021.

The girl at the counter was so frightened that she didn't even circle the code on my receipt like she usually does.

I usually say, “I’d like $5 of Xbox credit, please.” Then politely decline all the other garbage. It’s not the employee’s fault they have to push garbage so I keep it pleasant for their sake.

Did you want to preorder any upcoming titles?

Anyone know if it's ok to sign up for 2 pro memberships in order to get two $5 certs a month?
