Same for me, I’ve never traded with omni666 before. You can leave feedback for anyone at any time. It’s a pretty imbecilic comment to make without doing any research.

Same here. Wouldn’t have noticed it if you didn’t post about it here.

Hopefully the mods fix it ASAP. Always had perfect feedback here. I reported it to a couple of the super mods. The profile has already been banned though the feedback is still attached so far.

Took advantage of penny guide glitch

First if the mods could somehow change this that would be grand.

Second is IATGC The saddest cag ever? I mean I feel no pity but seriously text book definition of sadness.

Third false information. How is it a glitch if the store itself marked item at said price?

Its humorous that this is what his life has come to. Pennies out guides basically no longer exist but this guy gets worked up on it when the wind blows. Got a good chuckle out it. Never had a sales/trade or any kind of interaction with this omni clown.

Got your back! Unfortunately the only possibility would be Pokemon switch hardcover, and with store closing, who knows if penny guides will ever be a thing again. I really thought Red Dead 2 hardcover would have been the last guide drop ever last year. Never expected another guide to be sold in stores.

If I'm not mistaken, that's been listed on gamestop's website for ages now. That and Pokemon switch seemed to be the last two after RDR2. For the hardcover's at least.

The Animal Crossing guide arrived today and it's impressive at first glance and is massive. I mainly wanted to use it for the item checklists since I like having the pictures in front of me instead of scrolling through an app on my phone. The first section is the clothing and they have checklists for all the colors for each item and all was good. Next I get to the furniture and instead of having checklists for the different colors it just has a checklist for the item and then just says how many colors but doesn't show them or list them. Which makes the guide worthless to me. I realize this would have added pages but the first like half of this guide is just showing you basic information that is explained over and over while playing the game and is superfluous. They also have checklists for the same stuff multiple times in the book which could have been removed. They have a few pages about KK songs with a checklist and then later on in the book they have the same checklist. 

Also after checking some reviews it looks like most of the bug spawn times in the guide are incorrect along with most of the sell prices which is bizarre considering their was no change at launch of the game for these things and this guide has been out in other countries for a couple months so it could easily have been corrected.

i ordered in march and delivery date says near the end of may. i dont know why they always delay my stuff. probably because im not a prime member. my P5R CE took at least 2 weeks after launch to be delivered even though i ordered once they put it up for order..

I am a prime member and my delivery date keeps moving. I cancelled my order because at this point, it sounds like a reasonable chunk of the book may be out dated. I can always buy it later if I find more reviews that consider the book useful though. This guide appears to be selling well so I feel more will be printed

If you want to know what you missed out on

So will you all be returning the penny guides that you took advantage of to the publishers? You know, a loophole that was never meant to be exploited in the first place? Isn't it technically their property since they were NEVER meant to be bought at that price and were supposed to be returned all along by the stores yet you all took advantage of it anyway? The right thing would have been to alert the stores that the guides were supposed to be returned to the publishers and you all knew this yet you bought them for one cent anyway. At least we'll never see another penny guide again. I'll make sure of it. I've been watching the Animal Crossing New Horizons guide every day for price drops, and let's just pretend that "someone" has already alerted the publisher about this problem and that the publisher already knows about the issue and has made sure it won't drop to a cent. Ever. Cyberpunk 2077 will also never see a price drop to a penny, mark my words. Hopefully after that guide retailers won't carry any guides at all and I won't have to concern myself over fighting this problem anymore.

Tbh i bet he will do stuff like this 10 years from now when paper guides are long gone because he will always feel he was "wrongly banned" from these forums. I do appreciate all the work he put into the penny guide threads seeing how he helped me make easy $ over many many years!

 
Whats with GS employees taking offence to someone not wanting a gutted copy? I feel like this happens half the time. This game was missing shit and they still got combative with me.

I went to buy r-type final 2 but all they had was a gutted copy. Luckily the cardboard box seemed to be in good shape so I grabbed it anyways. Get to checkout and the employee pulls out just the game, crushed the fuck out of the cardboard box opening it and then spends another 5 minutes looking for the soundtrack and art book but can't find them. I politely said no worries if you can't find the extras, I'll just order it online. He plays dumb, asking what I'm even talking about. In my mind I'm thinking what the fuck did you just spend 5 minutes looking for them. I turned over the box and showed it was supposed to have those extras. He quickly cut me off saying it was in the game case. Again, being polite, I told him I watched an unboxing and they were in the cardboard box(like they are with every fucking game). I told him I'd rather play it safe and order online. Dude goes "you're wrong but it's your choice if you want to leave empty handed"

FFS dude please just close out my trade in and let me get the fuck out of here without getting gripe about not wanting your incomplete, gutted game sold as new. This was a big reminder of why I haven't fucked with this company in the last year.

I surely do miss this thread. Wednesdays were one of my favorite days of the week, always excited for a new drop. Prior to the last two years, I had several friends who worked for gamestop and gladly gave away guides to customers/friends. I built up quite a nice collection too.

With how games are so broken at launch anymore and numerous patches month after month, a printed guide nowadays doesn't seem to be the best idea.

Is there any mod that responds to emails? I sent an email like a month ago asking why I wasn't allowed to post images and nobody ever responded.
