Got my A Boy & His Blob pretty quickly after it went on sale that night, & it seems to work on my Retron HD NES fine.

Is there anything I should be worried about using a repro cart like that on the Retron HD NES?

I don't think so. Was your copy "opened new" or sealed?

Placed an order for Laika : Aged Through Blood from Super Rare Games just now for a standard copy.. anyone play this before ? Looked interesting enough & took a shot on it.. plus it Sold Out right after I ordered -

Got a last chance email for Raidou and just had a though, is this first LRG NS2 game? And I'm curious why there doesn't appear to be a standard version...

The standard Switch 2 version is a regular release at places like amazon and best buy.

The Sonic racing games are actually really fun (except Team Sonic Racing, which was gimmicky). Would probably buy the CE if it was from anyone other than LRG. I don't think they've even shipped out the Sonic X Shadows Generations CEs from last year yet. Maybe there will be an Asia/Japan CE I can import or something.

Yah know, if there's still some pissing match for the last Vita game, what do you think the war will look like over the last Switch 1 game?

I actually enjoyed Team Sonic Racing. Albeit, I bought it on clearance for like $15. The creators said they wanted to make a racing game that harkens back to Sonic Heroes, and this game was the result. Really wish it would have gotten some long term support. Once the game was released, no new content came out.

I can kinda see that, and it is a neat concept. Reminds me of Double Dash, which I also really liked. But playing solo, it was really unbalanced because the AI teammates were just not good. I had to have my wife help me with a couple of the events because my "team" would always drag me down in the matches. I bet it's a blast with a group of people though.

I hate that Gungho is partnering LRG still, was hoping Lunar was a sign of change. Seems like they got a great catelog of 90s and 00s games and guessing we'll always be at risk of LRG having the games.

At least it's not the regular edition at least, and they have a steelbook version.
No matter what I'll get the Standard on Amazon but. I'm still tempted for the Steelbook Edition through LRG.. looks great so I'll see how much $$$ I can make & justify buying that before pre-orders close July 20th -

It says 1500 on Bracer Edition & Steelbook Edition for PS5 and 3000 for Steelbook Edition on Switch with 1500 Bracer Edition on Switch.. no purchase limit so if you want a copy get it while it lasts on next Tuesday the 17th at Noon etc etc..

Looks like both editions are limited to 1500

My guess is that the steelbook edition is a copy/paste issue with their listing. They aren't great at proofreading and it doesn't make a ton of sense to limit that edition IMO.

Then again, LRG sucks, so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong. I asked in their Discord, I'll throw the answer here if their support team responds.

I've been here the whole time... when was this? Must have been before the LRG days.
Back when they first launched with Breach & Clear Vita they were posting in here quite a bit. Interesting thing is they both (Josh and Doug) had been members here for a while before starting LRG if I recall correctly, so I thought that kind of gave them some credibility around actually caring about games rather than just creating accounts to shill their games.

Josh posted on here less than Doug, but some of his posts are on the first page of this thread. His username was Doomstink. Doug still visits occasionally, but he's separated from LRG at this point and doesn't exactly have fond feelings for them.

Its also obvious to see which side of the early founders drove LRG to where it is today.

We're certainly not owed anything by the company (except certain Vita collectors, IMO), but it certainly is a tale as old as time for a beloved well meaning indie start up to turn into a grind mill of overpriced releases that under deliver.

Physical will die because of people milking the market for collectibles and "investment grade" purchases instead of, like, preserving games.

I finally preordered Shinobi Art of Vengence today for Xbox and I also ordered Earthion for Xbox. Earthion looks like a fun shump and I was surprised it was getting a Xbox physical release. I also for the first time ever used the split shipping service they offer because I didn't want to wait until December to get Shinobi. Let's hope the physical release of Shinobi doesn't get delayed.

I'm starting to view physical Xbox releases like the Vita or WiiU towards the end of their lives. There aren't many, and I might regret not getting now versus later when everyone wants them. I was considering Shinobi on Xbox, over Swtich, for that reason.

I was thinking something like this might happen but... I just don't see it with the Xbone or SX mainly because I think most gamers on thse consoles are likely just in it for streaming games and as with any other type of "binge" (streaming) media, I don't think it'll ever have the appeal years later. Besides, the Vita's cooled off a lot and the Wii U, I dunno but I don't think it's seen anywhere the long term FOMO we've seen from the pre-gen 7. I think gen 7 will probably see some long term FOMO but can't see it happening for gen 8 and forward. I know the 360 saw a surge due to the XBL store or whatever shutting down but even that's cooled quite a bit.

I didn't mean from a general FOMO standpoint, moreso it'll be limited release companies releasing physical Xbox games in the way we saw limited companies releasing Vita games towards the end (and the last few WiiU games).

There will be a few random rare Xbox game like Lie of P and maybe the Persona games, but there are fewer Xbox gamers. You can see on Amazon Suikoden sold 4000 on Swich, 2000 on PS5, and 400 on Xbox.
