Having both the charge/TV Out base (About $5 at HMV) plus a ps3 controller is a pretty neat setup. I play some Tactics Ogre on the commute then return home, drop it in the base, and play it on the big screen from the couch.

If I remember correctly it's up to the publisher to decide if the game will be region free or not.

I just picked up and enjoyed Dead Space Severed, most likely because it ties so heavily into the criminally underappreciated Wii game, Extraction. Either way, for 280 points it's not a big loss.

If your talking about the white one it's from Majora's Mask, it's what Link looks like when he wears the fierce deity mask. It's a powerful mask you get as a reward for (If I remember correctly) collecting all the normal masks in the game and can only be worn during boss fights.
