Someone on YouTube opened it up to check the CPU and was surprised it wasn’t as powerful as he expected. I don’t remember the details, but I wouldn’t get your hopes up that it will run more demanding games at full speed. However, it sounds like you could connect a higher-end PC or Pi4 to it and...

I believe it still does come with the blast dongle plus 3 months of ArcadeNet subscription (once it gets out of beta)....it even says so on the Sams Club web site, but you need to dig through the description details to find it. I ordered mine ALU last month when it came back in stock and...

I see that as a win-win. A little bit of truth-stretching, but it only helped the French guy feel better about the sale.

I think I saw a Dig Dug countercade for $59 at a TJ MAXX in the San Diego area. Thought about picking it up at that price but the screen was just too damn small.

My kids (7 and 5) have had a blast with the Final Fight cab. It has 2 simultaneous 2-player games (Final Fight and 1944) and 2 alternating 2-player games (Ghost & Goblins and Strider), all of which are pretty solid games (though G&G is a tough bastard).

I'll be the last person to argue that these cabs are worth their $300 - $500 retail price since the most I've paid for any of the 8 cabs I bought was $150 for the Galaga cabinet (the rest I've picked up for $75 each). And even then, I'd have to say the quality of the early discounted cabs I...

Maybe he has a buggy LCD or simply expects the exact experience he had playing a full-size CRT arcade cabinet, but I have the FF cab and i and my kids have been having a blast with it. Some say you can get an original can for something like $300 so the A1up cabs aren’t with anything near that...

Not easily since the Pi and the A1Up PCB both connect to the same LCD cables, so there isn’t an easy way to have them both connected to the LCD at the same time and swapping them would take several minutes at a minimum (and eventually destroy the screw holes).

Stopped by CostCo (San Diego) and saw Pac Mac cocktail cab for $429 (regular price, not discounted) and Golden Tee discounted to $299.99 (discount ending today) or $50 off.

I’m pretty sure they don’t have any discount codes or discounts on shipping. I asked them about this when I was trying to get them to give me a break on the deck protectors which were no longer being given out for free and they said it was not possible. That said, for some items, such as the...

I've had pretty poor luck with my A1Up cabs.. - 2 Asteroids cabs and both had bad screens (which were eventually replaced). One screen would occasionally boot up with a green background. The other screen was very washed out (it was VERY obvious when placed next to the other A1Up cabs). The LCD...

I think that's a great deal, but I'm also a fan of 3 or 4 player cabs so my 3 boys can play together. The TMNT cab has better art that the Rampage cab and has the wider 4-player control deck. Plus, it is more fun to play if you don't mod it. While the Rampage cab has more games, Rampage is the...

Yeah, I bought 1 at $199 then bought another online when they dropped to $149 and returned the first in-store. Still think there is a slight chance they will drop to $75, in which case I’ll buy it and then return it as the $150 purchase if I’m still in the return window.

A1Up is also now selling just the plastic screen bezels....$14.99 + $10 for shipping. But who knows how long until it actually ships. I ordered some stuff from them and I've been waiting over a month. Opened support tickets and was told it got put on hold because something was supposedly...

1944 Loop Master is a horizontal (and simultaneous 2-player I believe) game in the 194x series. It is actually a better choice for the horizontal screen in this cab since the other 194x games are vertical screen games and would be shrunk to fit the horizontal screen.
