I'll probably get it just for the achievements. I already have the ones from Pac-man. There's just something about getting achievements that make me want to play a game more.

I just got back from Wal-Mart and saw 3 Wiis behind the glass on an endcap in electronics. I was shocked and almost bought another one, but that's just the shock value getting to me.

I agree with the OP. I mean, some trash talk is acceptable and all but there IS a line that many people cross and I feel that something should be done to ban players like this. The whole thing about "don't take it seriously b/c its online" kinda gets me because if this same sort of behavior...

I bought Excite Truck the day after launch and love it. It takes a while to get the controls down perfect but once you do its really awesome. The majority of people that diss it don't take the time to get use to the controls. Once you get past the learning curve it IS awesome.

I read on some site that a guy called Nintendo saying theirs broke and they shipped him a new one for free. Worth a try if its of concern to you, but my original straps work fine. I still don't understand people's problem with hanging on to a friggin' remote. R-tards.

I think most of the people letting a remote "slip" out of their hand are among the most uncoordinated people around. Which I guess should be expected with some nerds.

I think most complaints about this game are because of some people's lack of normal physical activity. I love it and think the 3 mini games you mentioned are actually among my favorites. I stand up when playing a lot of the mini games, it just feels better.

The Blockbusters around me had Wii games on launch day.

Yeah, they have lots of emulators available. I've installed an NES one before and it ran great besides having to use the small buttons for a controller. However, I since updated my ROM and wiped everything clean I haven't bothered re-installing it. I really need to re-install my GPS software...
