Regarding XCOM pre-loading from GMG:
"We can now announce that pre-loading will be available from Green Man Gaming. Keys for all those who have pre-purchased will start going out in approximately 7 hours time from now, at 0200 UTC October 6th. Please remain calm if you do not receive your key...
For those of you using TuneIn, is it possible to subscribe to a Podcast, or at the very least download a podcast from the app? I see that you can stream podcasts and record them while streaming, but I was wondering if there was a way just to download them to listen to later.
Got one on my first try from the image link, so it appears some of them are still active! Keep trying (but remember that more than 5 tries will lock you out for a bit).
I ended up getting X-COM (North America version) for $31.98, but I'm not sure if it was a glitch or what because it wouldn't work until my third try. I've never had a problem with my card on GMG before, but it failed twice in a row. When I did it using PayPal it worked fine.
What I did was...
That is kind of the point of the genre though...
In a more old-school roguelike, you would have to be the luckiest person alive to beat it in the first week of release, and a lot of people never beat them.
Well, GMG is trying, I'll give them that. All of these activate on Steam.
Saint's Row The Third $17.97
Metro 2033 $4.98
Darksiders $4.98
F3AR $7.69
If these sales stack with the 20% coupons, that's not a terrible deal on any of these games. I haven't tried though.
Edit: Apparently 20% off...
I also bought Quell earlier!
I'm now taking the Steam sale approach to this: wait until the last day to buy anything I want :P. Sure, it's literally pennies, but it's the principle of the matter!
25c "Play of the Day" is Flick Golf Extreme. This is kind of sketchy because it was one of the $0.49 apps, but oh well.
I wonder if this $0.25 "Play of the Day" thing will continue past these 7 days (in lieu of Amazon's daily free apps)?
The discount will likely be the same, if not more, during the much larger Winter sale (sometime around Christmas). It's always a risk, however. You already know the #1 rule: buy the dailies if you want them, but wait until the last day for everything else. Steam may throw a surprise Cyber Monday...
1) Make sure that you are actually logged into Steam. Sometimes during this sale I've been disconnected randomly from my account, but still been able to do things like browse the store.
2) Close out of Steam, relaunch it.
I'm pretty sure you didn't actually "lose" any of your tickets - they...
My experiences with Gameloft games and the Droid X2 are not good. On their website they say it isn't supported at all, and it appears the games don't work very well (or at least I haven't been able to get them to work yet). All of the games will open up once and download additional data, like...
