    Xbox Deals and Discussion

I know I am very late to the game, but I finally bit on RE2 and RE3 remakes with the bundle.. I remember pre-ordering the original RE2 at EB (Electronics Boutique) and having some good times with friends, who enjoyed accompanying me as I played the game (only at night, of course) even more than...

TurboGrafx-16 Mini Retro Console (Amazon Exclusive : Pre-orders start July 15th)

Thanks to this thread being relatively high up in the forum, I realized that these things were OOS and opted to order a PC Engine Mini from amazon.co.jp (still available via amazon rather than a 3rd party!). I never had a TG16, but a very rich friend of mine whose father owned a baseball card /...

PSN Weekly Deals - 2/10: Big in Japan Sale ends 2/25, Critics' Choice Sale ends 2/18! NBA 2K21 Deal of the Week!

As someone above suggested, pick up the Requiem bundle. The games are not only best in the franchise, but also representative of two very different genres, with Rondo of Blood being the pinnacle of the traditional 2D platformer and Symphony of the Night being the mother of "metroidvanias". In my...

I am not sure there is much to get from Abzu, other than the beautiful, relaxing experience of ocean exploration. If I were expecting anything beyond that, I would have been disappointed, but I happened to play it during a tough time in my life, and it was a nice distraction from real life.

Just a heads up on the EDF games for *this* sale. They were significantly better priced a few weeks ago, with the deluxe versions coming in at ~35USD each. I don't want to stop anyone from buying them, as EDF is a fantastically bad series (I mean that in the most positive way!), but this is CAG...

Actually excited for the "Big in Japan" sale, as the Persona Dancing : Endless Night Collection is a no brainer at this price. Thinking about picking up the Star Ocean remasters / ports too, though those will be more debatable purchases.  Costco has $100 PSN cards for $90 too, so

PSN Weekly Deals - 4/10: Rockstar Sale! $20 Owlboy, $14 Aegis Defenders, $10 Thimbleweed Park, & More!

I don't think I can refer to one single title to which I can compare Gravity Rush. That said, I'll do my best. If you've played Super Mario Galaxy 1 or 2, you might remember that incredible visceral sensation that came with play on gravity, where you would hop from one planet to the next, with...

An easy yes, given that the DLC is so rarely on sale, and Bloodborne is a title that could benefit from not having to switch discs constantly (it'll take you hours to platinum, and you may want a break from it time to time).

Alright, since none of you seem hostile toward my comments on select games on sale and I've little I can do having come down with the flu on my trip in Italy, I'll continue. :) Abzu : More a moving (in terms of kinetic motion, rather than emotion), interactive storybook that takes place...

My thoughts on select free games for PS+ members and cross-buy titles. If there is enough interest or people find this sort of thing useful, I would be happy to comment on further titles.  Syberia Collection : I grew up on classic adventures from Sierra (King's Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit...

The Bloodborne + DLC bundle is a great price right now, and Dark Souls 3 + DLC is likely to go even lower in the future. I can't say that I like one ore than the other, as they take place in very different settings and have seemingly subtle differences in combat that are actually quite...

    Microsoft Store Games

Torment is definitely more of a dialogue-driven game than the traditional cRPG. If you must have frequent and deep combat along the likes of Pillars of Eternity, Baldur's Gate, or Icewind Dale, you are likely to be disappointed, but in terms of the building worlds, mythology, and characters...

Is it me or has this holiday season been amazing for both physical and digital sales on both Microsoft and Sony's ends? I wish Nintendo would do steeper discounts on their Switch digital titles though, but.... yeah. Ah well. I love and hate CheapyD, Frisky, BlackBeard (Gamestop Spreadsheet!)...

PSN Weekly Deals - 4/10: Rockstar Sale! $20 Owlboy, $14 Aegis Defenders, $10 Thimbleweed Park, & More!

I picked up Hastune Miku Bundle + the Season Pass at discounts that are normally too low for me to pick up, because these games rarely freaking go on sale, and it's been years since I was addicted to rhythm games.  I couldn't really get into Rock Band or Guitar Hero, but back in the day, when I...
