that's the truth...the only reason I ordered from them is because I was sitting on some amazon credit. otherwise best buy with GCU all day. funny thing is I swore off best buy years ago, looks like they've turned things around.

Apparently customer support can't touch this and the Xbox live enforcement team (the ones handing out bans) don't give a damn if you've been a customer from day one. That's what I've gathered from reddit, Xbox.com etc. They just ban you and you have no recourse.

Damn that sucks man. Glad I'm going PS4 next gen. Permaban with no recourse is crappy and shouldn't be the way you treat your loyal customers. I wonder how much of a shitstorm this is going to cause and how many customers Microsoft will lose over moves like this.

I feel for all of you with bans. I think it really sucks, maybe it's wrong to take advantage of the free games, but why such a heavy handed punishment for someone who has clearly spent way more money on the service and games than they lost out on this one exploit/glitch? a warning or something...
