    Gfx Card question

460 is very close to the 560, the 560ti 448 core or 6950/7850 is the next worthwhile jump. You can also hold out for the next round of nvidia cards to see if you see some sales to clear out the old inventory too.

27" IPS 2560x1440 Monitors UBER cheap

Is the response time/contrast as good as or better with these IPS panels than the ASUS 27inch LED monitor (see below)? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236103

there's a sale on the 480 right now at newegg for 210 dollars AR. Powerful card at a great price point, downside is it runs hot and uses a bit too much juice when pushed.

    Help with computer part selection

It kinda comes down to whether you think you will go multi-monitor in the future, if you might need CUDA support at all, and whether ventilation/heat might be a problem in your case (ATI generally runs cooler). The performance and pricing right now on Newegg of the GTX 560 Ti 448 core and 6950...

    Help with computer part selection

I would get a 6950 2gb instead since they are significantly cheaper. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150530 That psu isn't very good. Right now on newegg theres and xfx that is close in price if you send in a rebate, otherwise try to see if they get the antec hcg back...

Llano A8 is probably your best choice at the 300 to 400 mark. Should be enough for some light gaming. A few more bucks and you can probably move up to a phenom x4 with a real video card though (like a 6770/6850). If you don't need a monitor, 500 to 600 is workable for a lower-mid end build that...

    Help with computer part selection

nothing wrong with those parts. I think the asrock z68 is a better deal as far as the motherboard is concerned though. make sure the power supply is reputable, jonnyguru.com is a good place to look up for a review. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157279...

That setup can be comfortably run on a tx650 with no issues. Last review from Jonnyguru pretty much sums up that the Ultra lineup is outdated and a bad value for what you get. http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&file=print&reid=174

    Want to install an SSD

you might be able to do an image shrink and clone, but I don't think you would save much time versus just reinstalling on the SSD.

    Want to install an SSD

double check your motherboard. Some older motherboards have compatibility issues with different brands of SSD. I found that out the hard way when my older ASUS board works fine with OCZ/Corsair but won't take a Kingston.

    Looking for a Gaming Laptop

Both companies need to stop rebadging old cards. Notebookcheck lists that the cards you listed are rebadged versions of the 6490m and 6770m respectively. I would bet that the 7470m probably can't even beat an A8 for gaming. The 7690m is probably lower mid range and it should be ok for most...

HDTV to use as PC gaming/monitor

What kind of distance away from the TV will you be? Also what type of games? Honestly, a 27inch ASUS with a 2ms response is probably the best bet unless you plan on sitting on a couch >6 feet away. If you get an HDTV, get an IPS panel, they have much faster response times. Panasonic makes a...

looking for a graphics card $100-$175

6850/6870 or a 460/560 depending on what is on sale. if you're not in a hurry, wait till the price cuts before the mid range cards from the 7xxx series hit the market.
