it is pretty annoying, but it's not like all franchises are doing this. for example, Infamous' Festival of Blood DLC came out in October (a few months after release), and it was an actual addition to the game (as opposed to a piece of the game held away for no reason other than to get more...

i do agree with you in that it's worth the play-through for the story, but i feel like a 7.75 is kind of generous. it was ridiculously repetitive (i recall there being only three to four types of missions), and the combat was fairly dull. thankfully, they improved on this in the later games.

i've got to get me this game. great review.
