According to Sony, their is going to be a shortage of PS3's in the near future so if you want one, you might want to pick it up ASAP. Personally, i'd just buy it online from newegg, amazon, or buy.com and save yourself the Tax money.

I have the new unibody macbook pro and my gf has the new macbook. The macbook is really light, i'm not sure why your saying its heavy but I have a solution for you. Just run bootcamp, install windows xp and play roms! its really easy and it only took me an hour or so. Get the best of both worlds!

Well, I ended up buying the PS3 40gb from Buy.com. I got the 20 dollar google check out coupon and no taxes which was nice. I ended up playing something like 413 with an extra Controller. On a side note, I used free shipping... which said 5-9 days but its already at the office. Which is weird...
