The releases for films on Bluray is way too slow in my book. I mean there's a chunk I still wanna buy that's out now, and more that are coming out, but I love all types of movies MANY of which will probably never see the light of day on Blu. :cry:

Is it me or are these patches just not working right? 1.30 seemed to fix a lot of my personal major gripes of the game which were load times and some major frame rate drops. Then 1.40 hits, I download it and it makes the game not enjoyable at all with more frame drops, lag, random lockups...

I think the costs of a SL BD25 disk is cheaper and doesn't have as much bottlenecks in production as well as better yields compared to DL BD50 disks. I did not notice anything different from the patch I had to download last night. Same loading issues, same lag, etc. I did get to play VIP extraction type of mode and found it quite fun, aside from waiting 3+ minutes since half of my team and the other team were camping until last few seconds...

And the game's retail release is a month away :-# I have only read some good and bad about the latest patch... fixed some lag but load times are still atrocious

I think the PS3 will remain in 3rd place this gen... not GC 3rd place from last gen, more like very very close to 2nd and both nowhere on the radar from 1st... There's a good chance by the time the next xbox gets announced it'll pass the 360 but then it'ld be what do you consider current/next...

I don't care for the box. I'll probably order it for HD DVD and best case scenario I too will get the Bluray version. Won't mind either but since the current rate of Blu is more than HD DVD, it'll be a bonus for me :D

I'll probably pick up the Ocean's Trilogy. Not into Harry Potter (got to see if wifey likes them) but most others I already have aside from a select few like galapagos and appleseed :drool:

Problem with that is Sony isn't Bluray. BDA is in place to 'prevent' any of that. It's more MS's decision than it would be Sony's and yes, Sony does controls more of the Bluray market than anyone else. I also highly doubt you'ld see any BD version of the 360 anytime soon.

I had something like 90-95 folds done before my Bluray drive kicked. After I got my 40gb back from Sony (I believe they formatted the HDD also) I went to do some more units and I had to reinstall Folding@Home. No biggy right? Well I'm back at 0 again :bomb::bomb::bomb:

As much as I don't like Warhawk (REALLY tried getting into it) the new Jetpack update has me intrigued. I sold off my copy and wished I had kept it now lol

I think a lot of the updates you see were planned and a lot of them were from consumer demand. Again, if PS3 launched later Bluray would be dead. I honestly wished they had launched earlier by 6 months as long as they swallowed some pride, dropped some of the 'features' (card readers?!)...
