Warhammer online required specs and POSSIBLE open beta date

Is it really a requirement for the processor to be a 2.5 ghz? I mean, wouldn't a slower processor still run the game, just with a bit of lag here and there. My laptop's got a 1.7 ghz 64 athlon x2 and I was really hoping it could run warhammer online. Every other requirement is not a problem...

    Help Virus!

A very good thing to do is to run msconfig, start menu -> run -> type msconfig, and hit disable all under the startup tab. A lot of viruses/spyware will run themselves when your system starts up. Stopping them from running in the first way will typically, not always, let a antivirus or...

    What's in your bookmarks?

Actually, I don't have google reader. About once a month, I open up the file and firefox and dedicate an entire day to catching up on webcomics. Actually, looking at some of the dates, I guess it's been a bit later then a month. Hmm, thanks OP, I guess I have a lot of reading to do.

Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem, and Doom were pretty good. Although, I think my favorite game was how many animated gifs can I fit onto a web page. I loved that game.

    Question About Debit Cards

Seriously? I've used my debit card at a lot of places and never encountered anything like that. At the most, I've seen a dollar hold, but nothing anywhere near $25. Is this just at gas stations, because I usually pay cash at those.

    Anyone still rock AGP?

Even back when I did make regular upgrades, I never went top of the line. Top of the line was just a way of spending a hundred or more bucks on a product instead of waiting a year for it go down in price. I have no idea what it's like now, probably the same.

Can't Sleep: what do you do?

Nah, it's all about ace of cakes and iron chef. Only the Japanese could make cooking dramatic, and only in America, could making a cake include explosions. :bomb: Thank you food network for providing the best of both.

What the heck is this stuff?

95 and 98 were pretty good operating systems, especially for older machines. I'd definitely pay a buck for each. As far as ms office, I'd stick with open office.

TMK cannOTT pass a driving test

I actually failed the written test the first time. I ended up with a ton of questions asking what's the minimum fee you can receive when you do this, or how many times can you do this before your license gets taken away and stuff like that. I was like wtf, I don't plan on breaking the rules...

What kind of PC specs do you think Starcraft II will require?

Best idea. The more you wait, the cheaper the parts will become. Also, if you save up a bit at a time waiting for the game, the upgrade will be less of a shock to the wallet.

Will this RAM work and is it worth it?

You're laptop should support it, but I'm not sure you'll get any improvement, at least not in speed. You're laptop supports 4200 ram which runs at a slower speed, and while it may use the faster ram, it will only be able to run it at the 4200 speed. If you're upgrading from 512 megs to 1 gig...

Ever clicked on a YouTube vid? Viacom now has all your info.

According to the fine people at cnet, they've decided that ip addresses won't be sent over with the viewing data. Instead, they'll probably end up assigning random ids to ip addresses. Essentially, they'll be able to know that person A watched these copyright materials, but should have no way...

Help on fixing my razr cell phone

My razr has worked perfectly ever since I got it about a year ago. I knew I was taking a big gamble with all the horror stories of them breaking one after another, but I rolled the dice and ended up pretty lucky. If you get a brand new one, not refurbished, the razr can be a pretty good phone...

Sorry to derail the already somewhat derailed thread, but what's a costco like? Is it more like sams or walmart, or maybe something in between?

What kind of Car do u drive??

A old rusting, not completely rusted out, just starting to rust 1989 chevy pickup. Remarkably, the thing's only broken down twice, and still runs pretty well. I'll drive her to the day she dies, though considering all the fast food I eat and lack of exercise, I may go before it does.

    Anyone still rock AGP?

I was about to say that I blew all of y'all out of the water with my radeon 9200, but regular PCI, wow. If it wasn't for occasional tech support, I'd think those systems were extinct.
