There's actually a pretty good amount of combat, not much enemy variety though. You level and spend skill points to unlock abilities, and you collect different gear and can upgrade your weapons a bit.

The Lego games are all great choices for kids. Plus if you're a fan of any of the franchises there are tons of great references. I played a lot of them with my younger brother while he was growing up and thoroughly enjoyed them myself

Way back when they first announced that it would have an SSD and play PS4 games, they used Spider-man as an example of load time improvement. It was a pretty noriceable improvement too from what i remember.

You definitely want to play them in order. The plots convoluted and even the spin-offs are important to the overall plot.

The US needs way better internet before digital can take over. Where my family lives (and i lived for a few months) there was only one internet service available and it was so slow it took a few days to download a 40GB game

It's a revamped version of the game with a new party member, confidants, palaces, gameplay mechanics, personas, and another semester you can play through.

That will get you the two big paid expansions. You'll still have to download the 16 free DLCs seperately though.

Get the 1.5+2.5 bundle to start, or the All-in-one package. Starting in the middle is very confusing.

They patched in a "classic" combat option, which might be what you chose. The standard combat option was a bit tougher.
