Does anyone know if Games with Gold is like Playstation Plus, in respect to if I download a "free" game and then let my subscription lapse I am unable to ever get that game again, even to the point where I can't buy it with actual money?

Had gotten zero drops despite playing this stupid "game" since the beginning. I had even tried quitting and joining a new game, but got nothing. But when I tried joining the game of someone on my friends list, I immediately got 4 cards.

Deals with Gold for Xbox One is consistently horrific. I've got Xbox funds expiring on June 1 that I desperately want to maximize, but I'm starting to lose hope. Will probably have to do an un-CAG like buying of full price games just to avoid losing the credit.

Almost everyone I know is taking the credit (the games suck) but I think I will take the check. I'd take the credit if you got it instantly, but seeing as how you have to wait until the end of the redemption period either way I'd rather have the flexibility of money.

I got two games each from two different Targets in DFW.  Deadpool, Hitman Absolution, Halo Reach and Dead Space 3 for $10 each.  Didn't ring up at either store, had to be entered manually.

Same here. You would think the "ultimate" edition is inevitable. Having said that, the last generation is sort of on the clock now. I think that is why we are seeing a lot of bundles and game of the year editions lately (like 2K essentials or yet another Witcher 2). There's not a lot of time...
