My PS2 finally gave up the ghost...well, the drive did at least. Oddly enough this was after Sony replaced the drive in it over the summer due to DRE errors. I'm outside the limited warranty period so they won't touch it now. Way to go Sony! Anyway, as much as they can suck it, I have a library...

More a rant than anything, but maybe someone can give me a valid reason, 'cause right now I don't see one. Psychonauts just came out, right? I want it. So I'm checking prices. EB has it for $49.99 for X-Box, $49.99 for PS2. And...$29.99 for PC version! WHY is that version $20 cheaper straight...

Not the greatest prices of all time, but cheaper than most places. B&M only.

I just started getting disc read errors on my 3+ year old PS2. When I had this problem with my original PS I was able to get the laser mechanism replaced for about $40 at a local shop and it was OK (and actually still is). Does anyone do this anymore - fix PS2s? Or should I consider it a loss...
