    Yakuza 5 - General Discussion

:hot:  : "Quickly, lad! Turn the 'excitement' relief valve!" :)  : "That was a dangerous level of excitement, sir." Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! This is perhaps the best gaming news I could have reasonably hoped for. Honestly, I was starting to lose all hope...

Diablo III / Diablo II Battle.net Thread

Hey, all. I just noticed this thread for some reason and would like to find some friendly CAGs to do Rift runs and keystone farming with whenever we happen to be on at the same time. All my champs are 70, and two of them (WD, Crusader) can comfortably solo T2 rifts; the rest are at T1 for now...

Video game graphics don't need any more improving

I definitely don't enjoy games as much without the 60 FPS, but I do resent the modern attitudes of major developers and the obnoxious part of their fanbase obsessed with high end game graphics at the expense of other parts of the game. Examples are such as Square's Final Fantasy series that has...

    Hearthstone: CAG-Style

I don't see how that would be the case. If they'd have allowed me to trade with friends, maybe I could have done a little something more when combined with what I had. Certainly better than us 'disenchanting' excess good cards for a pittance. Not to mention, at least Diablo 3 ultimately...

    Hearthstone: CAG-Style

I pretty much feel the same way about this game as itachiitachi did. The fact that you can't at least do your daily quests through AI battles makes things all the worse. Just feels like a cheap cash grab with a client still riddled with visual and internal bugs (on PC at least). Being unable to...

What do you think about Hand-Holding in games?

It doesn't bug me much—depends on the game type, really. I will say that the undefeated champion in boring me to frustration with notifications and tutorials is Zelda: Skyward Sword (and just the console Zelda games in general). It was a potentially great game ruined by terrible controls and way...

    Genesis

Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday - A complete remake of SSI's Gold Box PC RPG. It was ahead of its time, with the ability to complete even the major story missions in your preferred order, as well as choose your own path within them. I've never seen another turn-based RPG successfully combine...

Good books about Israel / Middle Eastern history?

It occurred to me recently that I still don't know a whole lot about general Israel or Middle Eastern history.  I know some of the regulars here (if they're still around) are pretty knowledgeable on the subject; do any of you have some recommendations on good books for this? Ancient history is...

TheXMiz's Game Reviews! Recently played: Arkham Origins, ACIV (ps4), SotC, and KZ:SF

It's always nice reading reviews from fellow CAGs. I like reviews to be in text rather than in video form, so if you decide to make more like this, I'll look forward to reading them. P.S. I, too, much preferred City over Asylum.

    GOG Deals Thread

Been choosing the New Worlds option from the start of this sale, much higher chance of something I'd like from that—finally got Lone Survivor ($4.99) today, which has been on my wishlist for a while. Pretty pleased to get it on GOG, and now I'm glad I waited instead of buying it during a Steam sale.

    GOG Deals Thread

Have they said when the sale will end? I'm hoping for an even better price on some games, but I don't want to risk losing out on the current deals.

    Where to Start in Pokemon?

Yeah, go with X or Y. If you really want to start a bit further back, then HeartGold/SoulSilver is your best bet. I wouldn't go further back than that.

    League of Legends anyone?

Honestly, this is me sometimes. It's usually hard for me to figure out what I've done wrong when I lose, especially since there isn't an official way to record matches for spectating.

Goverrnment Shutdown 2013: The Obamapocalypse is here! :(

Some of the Republicans are acting more delusional than ever. Rand Paul, for example, thinks they're set to win this, as if they made it over the hump in terms of public reaction. :-k  Nevermind that the public is polling more against the Republican party at this particular point than they have...

    Keiji Inafune's Mighty No. 9 for PC, 360, PS3, Wii U, PS4, XBOne, Vita, 3DS

I loved the 80s/90s Mega Man games, and the concept art of this game looks wonderful. I'm definitely gonna pledge near the end of this campaign unless something comes up. I hope he comes up with some clever ideas for this new character. I'm especially pleased that he isn't attempting to...

Real Time with Bill Maher: Weekly discussion and pot session

Real Time with Bill Maher: Weekly discussion and pot session

Hey, hey... you mean Frank, right? I like that he gets some interesting guests to talk on his show—without the censorship present on most other networks, but Maher is kind of grating at times. I feel like he's too defensive of Obama, maybe to rationalize the enormous donation during last year's...

Bradley Manning VS. The NSA Leaker

It seems like I agree with you, but are you saying Manning should have done things a bit differently? Meaning, should he have had someone (himself?) look over the information and exclude some before delivering it in one big batch? I'm just curious since I don't know a lot of what was contained...
