Like, dirt cheap, under $250 would be good. Doesn't have to be huge or even flat-screen so long as it's light, since I'll be using it in my dorm room. Anyone know of anything? I've seen some that are good for what you're getting, but simply too expensive for what I need.

The D-pad on my DS is totally trashed from standard wear-and-tear. What's a cheap and reliable place to get it fixed? The warranty's already out, so I don't think Nintendo's going to be a huge amount of help. By the way, how much does Nintendo charge for a D-pad repair, and is it worth it?

I need to get someone an MP3 player as a gift. It's an older person, so I doubt she's into high technology, etc. Anyone know of any good players (not necessary iPod) with 2~ gigs of memory? Any deals would be appreciated.

I pretty just want it to play jRPGs (Eternal Sonata, Star Ocean 4, Tales of Vesperia), so all the extra crap like a hard drive, internet, etc. are unnecessary. I do want a warranty in case it RRODs (what's the failure rate now, like, 1 in 3?), though. I guess a really cheap Core or Arcade...
