I think one came with the WW preorder and one came with a Nintendo Power subscription. I’d never owned a N64 so the GCN ports of Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask were my first real experiences with either.

Ugh. I can't get my switch to recognize the DK bongos I just got for Taiko no Tatsujin. Apparently it's hit or miss? I can get the switch to see it with the 8BitDo bluetooth GCN adapter, but the button mapping isn't where I need it to be, and I'd rather not adjust it for all my GCN controllers.

My guess is the power supply has nothing to do with the USB going bad--that was just speculation thrown out in a forum once and it took off as fact. They're going bad regardless of what people are using. If the units were THAT sensitive to the USB brick specs, then it would have (should have)...
