I couldn't believe they even had one in stock, but if you can find it @ a CC B&M it's definitely a steal at that price especially since it's brand new :)
found alter echo ps2 - sadly disappointed in my trip :( btw - is this a decent game or should I trade it at gamerush?
melissa

Going tommorow and have alot of time... so I will check stacks of games if possible, or harrass my friend at CC and waste his time with checking all 1.99 items in the store
willing to paid $6 for bombastic. PM me
you can get a used copy from ebgames for 5.99 and then w/ cag15/edge you should be able to get it for about $4.50 shipped if you don't mind it being used

it's crazy...a cc at the other end of town from me has BG&E, but when I called, they told me it was $40...I know it's not that much....can (would?) they manually adjust these prices?

They're just checking the sticker, not actually scanning it to see the new price. The one I bought has a sticker price of $40 as well.

I peeled the sticker off to uncover the actual UPC code on Matt Hoffman BMX 2 for xbox and it rang up........ $149.96........ So I guess the $16.99 sticker price was a better deal.:)

must be the rare Monkey BMX edition...

well, reading this thread has got me all hot and bothered so I'm about to drive down to my CC and see what's up, list in hand. I'll report back with whatever I can find.
They had a copy of Xmen : Next Dimension for PS2 at a local CC but it didn't ring up at $1.99 - it was $19.99, which is what the price on the sticker said.

I did pick up a copy of Socom 2 for $9.99 though, so it wasn't a total loss.
Which CC in town was this?

I haven't gone to any CCs yet.

add BloodRayne 1 for Xbox

i picked up at once CC:

2 batman rost GC
2 batman rost PS2
Bloodrayne Xbox
powerdrome ps2 (4.96)
gta 2 ps1
$17.?? total

at that same CC, i checked the price of...with no go:
matrix xbox
custom robo gc
hack outbreak ps2

the girl there was making different piles of what games i was going to get and what games i wasn't going to get...then she had to go find the key to open up the spider alarm thingie on the batman rost gc boxes...so when she came back, i guess she forgot what she was doing and she threw the wrong games in the box...she ended up giving me custom robo, hack outbreak, bloodrayne, both gc batmans and both ps2 batmans...needless to say, i didnt complain

at another cc, it was a complete waste of a trip
so i bought the games she forgot to give me, plus a&o
gta 2 ps1
asterix & obelix (14.99)
power drome ps2

im thinking about heading back out to the first cc, they had a lot of different games there that i know were $1.99

more batmans, whirl tour, 18 wheeler, etc

Freedom Fighters for two bucks, are these garunteed sales instore, or online

It's an undisclosed clearance sale I believe. And no, this is not guaranteed to be in-stock at any store and isn't guaranteed to be the price as some have Value Stickers on their UPCs which change the price of them.

pretty much if your cc has any games left from the last two $5 sales they are probably $1.99 now. So take the lists from the last two sales and check for those because those are the games that are now on sale. No real need to make a new list since those games are the ones on sale.

can someone post a link of where to find this previous list? Also, are any of these games PO at EB Games?

Damn I was just at CC earlier to pick up a DS case and I coulda sworn I saw a La Puecelle. I know for a fact theres a few INinjas too but the X-Men Next Dimension I've been eyeing for awhile had that damn Value sticker put on it. Guess I'll head back early tomorrow for I Ninja and hopefully La Pucelle.
Which store was it in town mentos?
yo hiccup! it was the sahara location. but now since everyone's stating games from the 5.00 sale are eligible i might go back there...

btw, i saw 1 la pucelle there a day ago. it was gone today...plus, i had the cashier check other stores for it. he typed the upc in the cpu (from a white binder behind the register), futzed around, couldn't find it anywhere else. maybe its not in the system?

:robot:

I went to 3 Circuit City's today, and could not find La Pucelle in any of them!!! I'm dying to get that game at a good price! :(

Wow.

Looking for copies of all the XBox games except Dave Mirra and including XMen: Next Dimension, or whatever it's called.

PM me if you get anything.

I made out of my CC with a couple extra La Pucelle's (left a couple in store... PM me if you want to offer for them) I had the XMen game but with the sticker over the barcode, it rang as 19.99... MattHoffman XB rang up as 12... oh well, did get the most sought after of these sale games

any socal CAGS find LPT, i-ninja, bg&e, and auto modelista. I would appreciate someone could procure these for me for local pickup for cost+$3 gasmoney.

bad news guys, stopped by today at my ELk Grove CC picked up Eternal Darkness and Batman for cube. I asked the person working to check the price and she had a suprise look on her face saying "1.99 for these are you kidding me"? then asked me how I know these were so cheap as I was about to make the purchase. She calls and asks the manager and he checks them in the system and prices them as 49.99 for batman and 9.99 for Eternal Darkness shaq-fu!!

^^thats what I thought the law in california was too. Im going to go check my store on my way home from work and see what it rings up vs what they try to charge. They wont get away with that crap in front of me. I hope I get a kid cashier who doesnt give a rats ass what price it rings up as... good luck all.

Grrrr....it's gone now....I bet the employee took it...
Anyway, it seemed like she actually scanned it (I could tell by the noise that she was at the registers), and it took a while for her to tell me the price, so I'm suspicious that should told me it was $40 (the sticker price) so I wouldn't hold it and then bought it...who else would have bought it if they thought it was $40?

question: if you were able to get these at the $2 price tag, with your receipt, wouldnt you be able to pricematch at another store? Seems like a nice thought that could help CAGers out in their local areas.

doubt it most stores would say "I need a physical ad if your going to price match these" it happened to me lots of times!

I've heard that some people have had luck with this...it would be worth a try...

I just hauled in some PSX games for the EB trade in later this week. Other than that I think that I'd like a sealed GCN BG&E for my collection. Time to trade-up my played BG&E/

Most stores also have it in their terms that they won't price match clearance items. It's worth trying but most stores probably won't price match it.

yea it has to be on sale also! not regular priced!
The Ross Park CC had one I-Ninja Xbox in the whole store...Now, there is nothing.
oops im sorry i should have posted, thats the one i went to earlier and i left emptyhanded.

I noticed some people are saying go to the cashier who looks new and wouldn't give a shit etc, but what you want are people who have been there for awhile. Those people have been there for the $4.99 sales/clearances in the past and will just figure its another clearance. In my experiences it has always been a newer employee to question the super cheap stuff and the managers/other cashiers confirm that its legitimate.

All that I could find at the Roseville, CA Circuit City was Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu. I have a feeling that some fellow CAG left it on the shelf for the next person to find. Thanks to the kind soul who did so, because now it is mine.

I wasn't big into the PSX era...how are these clearance games as games? I don't need detailed reviews, but are any of them worth the fun or even the 2 buck cost?

Add PS2 Aqua Aqua to the 1.99 list...I rescued the beat-up looking copy thats been sitting in the bargain bin for as long as I can remember!

Scanned a few more, but these ones are NOT reduced : PS2 Goblin Commander (10), Xbox Sphinx (15), Xbox Breakdown (16?)

So anyway I got Aqua aqua, Big mutha truckers and Gamecube BG&E, so that made it worth the trip.
I would have preferred if you told me the Buffalo one still with games.
are you looking for anything in particular? the one on nia falls blvd in amherst had nothing and i know the one near the galleria had three La Pucelle.

I'm pretty sure she lied to you. The CSR who did a price check for me on Batman ROST PS2 flat out lied to me. She scanned it and told me $39.99(sticker price), then when she scanned La Pucelle she had to talk to the manager. When she left to go to the back I looked over the counter at the screen and Batman ROST and La Pucelle both scanned at $1.99 and showed on the computer as $1.99. So I'm willing to bet your CSR lied to you also.

As far as New employees vs Old ones, the CSR at the store that let me buy Batman ROST GC was one who I had seen before and had been working there for some time, while the one who questioned the prices and wouldn't let me buy anything looked like a newer employee at least one I hadn't seen in the store before.
