1 vs 100 - Season 2 has ended - Waiting for Season 3

About 3-5 minutes before showtime at the earliest, select the show icon, and select Download/Play.

It's continuous from 8 PM until the end, so you can join at any point before that and get in. Just find the 1 vs 100 icon on the Games Marketplace tab and you can find the available show there that you can join. Also, there's a reminder feature so it'll tell you when it's about to start.

I definitely scored way better in video game trivia than in general trivia.

I was killing in the horror one then my connection lost. When I got it back I was on a streak and my controller said reconnect controller. When I tried reconnecting it, it came back on but none of the button presses registered! I tried two full batteries. I'm so pissed... Can anyone tell why it did this?
 
I may try to get back into this after I lost interest last season (confusing whether there were actual prizes or not). Achievements definitely make it more appealing.
 
I was hoping to get the 6 consecutive instant answer achievement, but apparently, if my answer is wrong, it doesn't count? That blows.

Plus, I keep getting so close to the saving 3 skips achievement, and as soon as I get the first two, I can never get the 3rd to save my life. I'm so awful at trivia. And the one night I think I would do well (Sports night), I have to work. >_

Badges are for Live Shows. I know the sniper scope is getting at least 90% of the questions right in a round and the gold coin next to it is for getting the question right that The One misses. I haven't gotten the others, but I do know it'll count how many times you earn any of them.

Not all... I think only the top row are for Live Shows; Granted I have never gotten close to 90% accuracy on extended play so I wouldn't know about it.

The ticket badge can be earned in extended play. Also, the streak badge (earn by getting streak of 10) can be earned in extended play. As I have earned both of these badges during extended play.
 
So, I was part of the mob during Friday night's 1 vs. 100 live show, and after we beat the one, I got a message that everyone in the mob had won an XBLA game and some Microsoft points, and that I would get an email with redemption codes.

I haven't received anything yet, and I was wondering if anyone knew how long it takes, or if anyone else was in the mob on Friday and has received anything yet.
 
You sure it wasn't that everyone in the 100 that was still active had won? I don't play that much anymore but I was under the impression that only the 1 or the 100 could win prizes as well as just a few random mob members, not the whole mob. That would equate to hundreds of thousands of microsoft points and probably tens of thousands of XBLA games given away for free.

As far as I ever knew, the remaining 100 after beating the 1 would split the points he had earned and get an XBLA game. I could very well be wrong though.
 
I won in the MOB last season, here's how it works:
You'll get your points email in about two weeks. It goes to the email address registered to your Live account.
Then about three weeks after that you'll get the email with your game, which will be the right game as advertised when you won, but the email will say that it's a different game. Just enter the 5x5 and it will unlock whatever you actually won.

The Mob doesn't split the points, they're awarded a certain amount based on how many are left. If you'd like to know more, just read the 1v100 FAQ on xbox.com in the forums area.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was trying to convey in the OP, I was part of the remaining mob of 100 after the one struck out. Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Thanks for the details nasum. It was only like 80 points for each mob member but I'm still feeling pretty good about it. :)

The tickets aren't a badge, just your entries into whatever the current raffle contest is.

I got that one last night during video game trivia. Not really sure how. I guess I just did so much better at that than general trivia.

The avatar action achievement is for live shows. It's the only one you need to get from a live show, which will ironically be happening tonight.

It's based on points this season. So if you play all the Extended Plays an amass a nice amount of points yo have a good chance of getting in.

I played every game including the live show last Friday and did well and ended up in the mob and won so...

I wish I could join the live show tonight , but I have to be at work at 3am tomorrow , so I shouldn't be up too late (even though I probably will be anyway). Guess I'll shoot to join the live show on friday.
 
Playing the live show. WTF just happened with the first guy? Had to choose between the money or the mob and then lost?
 
Was talking with a friend afterwards, and that was his guess, but it just seemed bizarre. My original guess was if there's a set amount of time you can choose between the money or the mob and then you lose by default if you don't pick in time.
 
Argh! Don't you hate when there's a super easy question and you get too excited to answer and then completely hit the wrong button? I can't believe how many times I've done that when going for the instant answer bonuses.

The Goddessss was also The One last year too. That's the first One I've seen repeat.
 
I like how you have achievements cause I got 5 of them during 2 sessions this evening. I will have to take time to play this instead of playing MW2.

Yeah, although it's more funny then not. Such as when I picked viagra (not thinking at all) for the drug that decreases risks of heart attacks.

What I would hate is if I was the one (which will never happen) and I lost because I trusted the crowd.
 
That person stilladream who's The One right now is ALWAYS in first place whenever I play Extended Play every single time. If he's legitimately that smart, he needs to be on Jeopardy. I have no clue how somebody can know that much about trivia.

EDIT: Wow, I can't believe he lost on Dr. Pepper. The way he plays on Extended Play, I never would have figured he'd go down like that.
 
I was in the mob tonight and we won on the World's Fair Beverage question! woohoo!
 
Am I the only one who thinks that some are somehow cheating in the game? It just seems impossible that some in the crowd have this perfect scores which require to answer every question perfect in less than .8 seconds. Plus whenever they make it into the mob or be the one they are always getting knocked off on simple questions or asking the mob for help. I believe 21 people from the Mob got knocked off the first question of Tim Burtons Batman.


Were you guys talking about the guy with the Big Hat as the one? I laughed big time when he choose 800 points after he had a "perfect score" as apart of the crowd..

Couple of things I wish they would do to fix the game.

1. Add an extra second onto the instant answer bonus. You have to press the button immediately after the answer is given. It should be done after all 3 choices are shown.

2. Divide the shows up. 50'000 plus people were playing tonight. Make a show for every 10'000 or so. That way people have a slightly higher advantage for making it into the mob or being "The 1".

3. What is the benefit for being in the mob? You have a very small chance at winning 30-50 Live points. Pretty much every contestant as the 1 gets to 5000 or 6000 and walks away.
 
I did!!!! Tonight i managed to make thew mob and i was in the last 40 mob members and the one got it wrong

I won the maw and 160 microsoft points.
did any other CAG's win and what did you get?
 
I dunno man, the mob seemed to be doing fairly well I think. Although a lot of the "1's" were getting knocked out on sub 1000 points which isn't much to split up between the mob. I don't think they would ever divide the shows up since they'd have to give out more points. I mean there's really no point to it. But I've used my one mob victory for the season and got 400 points + arcade game. Super fun.
 
Posted in the other thread, but I won 400 MP and an arcade game. Not sure what the game is though but I'd assume MAW. There were only 11 others in the mob with me when we won.
